Below in this article, we'll see the ample proofs that the earth was indeed SPREAD OUT SPHERICALLY.  And Scientists have proven that water does indeed originate from its planets when they're hot enough and are located in the Goldilocks Zone when orbiting their sun.

As thoroughly detailed in this detailed article, I thoroughly demonstrated using 7 encyclopedic dictionaries that DAHA دحاها  means:

1-  To push.

2-  To throw.

دحا   (daha):  دفعه و رمى به (dafa'aahu wa ramaa bih) Caused it to move, pushed it, or threw it.

دحا الصبي المِدحاةَ أي دفع الصبي المِدحاةَ   Daha the boy the rolling toy, means the boy pushed the rolling toy.

3-  To make something roll, as in DAHA the barrel from the top of the hill, which means he rolled it down from the top of the hill.  Also, this is where the Arabic word DAHRAJA is derived from, which means to make something roll down.

4-  To make something round.  I used several examples for ROUND AND BULGED TUMMY, and making round objects.  I even used a Hadith from Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when he said:

In Prophet Muhammad's Hadith: كان لأسامة بطننٌ مُندحٌ اي متسع   Osama had a round and big tummy.

Also the dictionary says:
الدحداح هو المستدير الململم    The dahdaah is the person who is ROUND and STOCKY.

و بطنٌ مُنداحُ أي خارخٌ مُدوّر  His tummy is mun-daahun means it is OUT THERE AND ROUND مُدوّر.

So when Allah Almighty DAHA THE EARTH, it means that Allah Almighty EXPANDED IT SPHERICALLY through rotating around itself and moving in its orbit in space.  And this is why Allah Almighty Said after that (after He DAHAHA), He brought forth from it its water and pasture.  Science has proven this to be 100% accurate and True:

Now, in Noble Verses 79:30-32, Allah Almighty Says:

And the earth after that He has spherically expanded

A team of researchers from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., and the Royal Observatory of Belgium has apparently solved a recently observed mystery regarding changes to the physical shape of Earth and its gravity field. The answer, they found, appears to lie in the melting of sub-polar glaciers and mass shifts in the Southern, Pacific and Indian Oceans associated with global-scale climate changes.

The team of researchers sought to find a climatic reason for the dramatic changes in Earth's gravity field observed since 1997. These changes have resulted from large redistributions of mass around the globe and are characterized by an increased bulge in Earth's equator and mass movement away from the poles - an occurrence known as oblateness, which can be thought of as the difference between a football and a soccer ball; the football has a larger radius at the equator. Their results are published in the December 6 issue of Science.

The paper, "Recent Earth Oblateness Variations: Unraveling Climate and Postglacial Rebound Effects," by JPL scientists Drs. Jean Dickey, Steven L. Marcus, and Ichiro Fukumori, and Dr. Olivier de Viron from the Royal Observatory of Belgium, builds upon previous research conducted by Drs. Christopher Cox and Benjamin Chao of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.

"During the last ice age, glaciers covered much of the land, reaching down far into the United States, deforming the solid Earth," Dickey said. "As the ice age ended, the ice sheets gradually were reduced, leaving remnant glaciers. The Earth is inelastic and responds to changes by slowly recovering on time scales of tens of thousands of years, resulting in a redistribution of mass toward the higher latitudes, effectively making the Earth more spherical. This phenomenon, called post-glacial rebound, still continues today, due to the slow response of the Earth's mantle."

In 1998, however, satellite data began to show an increase in the oblateness of Earth's gravity field. To find the catalyst for these changes, Dickey and her colleagues looked to the oceans, where strong El Niño and Southern Oscillation events and a shift in a climate cycle called the Pacific Decadal Oscillation had begun to occur in 1997. Sea-surface height measurements from NASA's Topex/Poseidon oceanography satellite combined with ocean circulation models showed a movement of water from the Southern Pacific Ocean to tropical regions in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

The researchers also studied sub-polar and mountain glaciers, using information from the National Snow and Ice Data Center, to determine their effect on gravity changes over a period of 37 years. The record shows substantial glacier melting from the 1960s to the 1980s, accelerating in the late 1990s. From 1980 to 1989, the average melting rate was approximately 100 cubic kilometers (26.4 trillion gallons) per year. However, by 1997 and 1998 the yearly rate had increased dramatically to 320 cubic kilometers (85 trillion gallons) and 540 cubic kilometers (143 trillion gallons), respectively. This melting, in combination with changes in the ocean, was found to account for the observed Earth gravity field changes.

"The rapid surge in glacial melting and changes in oceanic mass distribution in 1997-98 coincided with an intense El Niño, and with the highest global mean surface air temperatures on record. The world is certainly changing in a major way," Dickey said. "The links between these relatively rapid mass shifts and concurrent climate anomalies, however, remain to be established."

To continue the important work of monitoring Earth's gravity field, NASA and the German Aerospace Center launched the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (Grace) in March of 2002. Grace is measuring Earth's gravity field with unprecedented accuracy. The mission will be able to help scientists track water movement on and beneath Earth's surface; track changes in ice sheets and in global sea level; study surface and deep ocean currents; and study changes in the solid Earth.

The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena manages JPL for NASA.

Around 830 AD, Caliph al-Ma'mun commissioned a group of astronomers to measure the distance from Tadmur (Palmyra) to al-Raqqah, in modern Syria. They found the cities to be separated by one degree of latitude and the distance between them to be 66⅔ Arabic miles (131 km) and thus calculated the Earth's circumference to be 24000 Arabic miles (47,000 km), a value which differs from modern estimates by about 18.6%.^[47][48]

Another estimate given by al-Ma'mun's astronomers was 56⅔ Arabic miles per degree, which corresponds to 112 kilometres (70 mi) per degree and a circumference of 40,300 km (25,000 mi), very close to the currently modern values of 111.3 km (69.2 mi) per degree and 40,068 km (24,897 mi) circumference, respectively.^[49]

Abū Rayhān al-Bīrūnī (973-1048) solved a complex geodesic equation in order to accurately compute the Earth's circumference, which was close to modern values of the Earth's circumference.^[50][51] His estimate of 6,339.9 kilometres (3,939.4 mi) for the Earth radius was only 16.8 km (10.4 mi) less than the modern value of 6,356.7 km (3,949.9 mi). In contrast to his predecessors who measured the Earth's circumference by sighting the Sun simultaneously from two different locations, al-Biruni developed a new method of using trigonometric calculations based on the angle between a plain and mountain top which yielded more accurate measurements of the Earth's circumference and made it possible for it to be measured by a single person from a single location.^[52]

John J. O'Connor and Edmund F. Robertson write in the MacTutor History of Mathematics archive:

"Important contributions to geodesy and geography were also made by Biruni. He introduced techniques to measure the earth and distances on it using triangulation. He found the radius of the earth to be 6,339.6 kilometres (3,939.2 mi), a value not obtained in the West until the 16th century. His Masudic canon contains a table giving the coordinates of six hundred places, almost all of which he had direct knowledge."^[53]

Many Muslim scholars declared a mutual agreement (Ijma) that celestial bodies are round, among them Ibn Hazm (d. 1069), Ibn al-Jawzi (d. 1200), and Ibn Taymiya (d. 1328).^[54] Ibn Taymiya said, "Celestial bodies are round—as it is the statement of astronomers and mathematicians—it is likewise the statement of the scholars of Islam". Qutb al-Din al-Shirazi (d.1311) drew a planetary model which depicted the celestial bodies in an epicyclic model. Abul-Hasan ibn al-Manaadi, Abu Muhammad Ibn Hazm, and Abul-Faraj Ibn Al-Jawzi have said that the Muslim scholars are in agreement that all celestial bodies are round. Ibn Taymiyah also remarked that Allah has said, "And He (Allah) it is Who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon. They float, each in a Falak." Ibn Abbas says, "A Falaka like that of a spinning wheel." The word 'Falak' (in the Arabic language) means "that which is round."^[54][55]

The Muslim scholars who held to the round earth theory used it in an impeccably Islamic manner, to calculate the distance and direction from any given point on the earth to Makkah (Mecca). This determined the Qibla, or Muslim direction of prayer. Muslim mathematicians developed spherical trigonometry which was used in these calculations.^[56] Ibn Khaldun (d. 1406), in his Muqaddimah, also identified the world as spherical. The later belief of Muslim scholars, like Suyuti (d. 1505), that the earth is flat represents a deviation from this earlier opinion.^[54]

As I showed in the many definitions, if something gets SUTIH, it means it got pressed.  A man who is MASTOOH is someone who is very bloated after eating too much food that he feels he's about to blow up.  A nose that is MASTOOH, is a nose that is pressed in.  An earth that is MASTOOHA or has been SUTIHAT, means that it's been pressed.

Also, scientists today have confirmed that the earth has gone through "The Big Splat", where a planet size body of mostly-iron had slammed into earth and formed its iron core.  So the earth was SUTIHAT there by having that whole body of planet slamming itself right through it.  And did not Allah Almighty Himself Say that He sent down iron:

"We sent aforetime Our messengers with clear signs and sent down them the Book and the Balance (of right and wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down iron, in which is (material for) Mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of strength, exalted in Might (And able to enforce His Will).  (The Noble Quran, 57:25)"

Also the earth is bulged at the equator due to its high speed rotation.  This has caused for the equator to get pressed and bulge out.  The earth here is also SUTIHAT.

Another point worth mentioning is that when we look at the context of the Noble Verses, we see Allah Almighty bringing our attentions to investigate and research certain main things.  Let's look at the Noble Verses:

88:17 افلا ينظرون الى الابل كيف خلقت
‏88:18 والى السماء كيف رفعت
‏88:19 والى الجبال كيف نصبت
‏88:20 والى الارض كيف سطحت

[088:017]  Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-
[088:018]  And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
[088:019]  And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
[088:020]  And at the Earth, how it is spread out SUTIHAT (سطحت, formed after a splat, is pressed and expanded)?

Notice how Allah Almighty is Commanding us to look into:

1-  The complex creation of the camel (the ship of the desert).

2-  The Heavens above us.

3-  The mountains on earth and how they were formed.

4-  The earth and how it was SUTIHAT.

Again, Sutihat means being pressed and bulged, and also being flattened.  In the link above, I gave an example from the dictionary that say:

أنف مسطح: منبسط جداً
   
A musattah nose is a very flat and slapped nose.

If a Nose is Musattah or Mastooh or Sutiha, it means that it is pressed and flattened.  This means that it would bulge from the sides.  Sutihat doesn't mean something became flat sheet of paper.  An object that SUTIHA becomes pressed and bulged.  And the earth is such an object.

As in will we be resurrected on earth ? If so then :

Proof that "Earth" الارض is also Plural:

والارض جميعا (all of the earths) ?

In the third link above, in the article that I wrote, there is a MIGHTY REFERENCE that clearly and indisputably proves that EARTH is both plural and singular and not just singular:

1-  We know that Allah Almighty created 7 HEAVENS and of the EARTH similar to them.  That's in the Quran, and can be found here:

2-  Yet, notice here Allah Almighty talked about ALL OF THE HEAVENS will be all Rolled up: والسماوات مطويات.

3-  And all of the EARTHS will also be rolled up: والارض جميعا.

4-  Yet, Allah Almighty spoke about MANY EARTHS THROUGHOUT THE 7 HEAVENS, and here He referred to all of them as EARTH الارض. 

5-  I've always said that الارض in the Glorious Quran is both singular and plural.  This Noble Verse here definitely supports my claim 100%.

6-  والارض جميعا (all of the earths) is speaking about all of the earths in the seven Heavens.  Yet, Allah Almighty used the same Word, الارض , which is also used in the singular.

I just updated my post above and added the minute position that you should hear, because he directly answer this very question.  He said that earth and the universe are the same age, but rocks go through cycles, and our current earth is only 4.6 billion years old (he said that in minute 02:05).  But earth started exactly with the Universe, and they both have the same age, roughly around 10 billions years old.

He said that.  I think you have it mixed up.


Also, scientists believe that our Universe is between 10 to 16 billion years old, around 13.8 billion years old:

"The age of universe can be determined by imaging what the universe looked like in the past, “rewinding” the expansion. In the past the galaxies must have been closer together, and in the distant past they would have been packed together in a tiny point. If we assume that the expansion rate is constant over time, the age for the universe as a whole is about 10 billion years.
