3-  19 X 115 = 2185 Number 19 and BASMALA Miracle.  The total numerical value of Noble Verses 74:30-37 themselves, which are the heart of the Number 19 Miracle, has a stunning Miracle in it.  The value of these Noble Verses matches the multiplication of the BASMALA's number of letters (19 Letters) and their total numerical values (115): 19 X 115 = 2185.  The Basmala, which full text in Arabic means "In the Name of Allah The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful" is the Key to the Glorious Quran.  It is recited first before reading the Holy Quran, and it is also obligatory upon every Muslim to start with the Basmala before starting any task.  Again, 1,000s of examples in zip & PDF (fonts) files all demonstrated in this article.
  

4-  The Glorious Quran has 114 Chapters. The sum of those Chapters is 6555 (1+2+...+114 = 6555). There are also 6236 Noble Verses in the Glorious Quran. Now, if you add each Chapter's number with the number of its Verses, then you get a list of numbers. So 1 (first Chapter) + 7 (# of its Verses) = 8.  Do this for all Chapters.

1-  The sum of the odd numbers from the list = 6555.
2-  The sum of the even numbers from the list = 6236.

Assalamualykum

 وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ

 Translation:

'' And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.''

''And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.''

 Okay my question is, the word وَجَعَلْنَاهَا should be translated as ''We made it" not ''We made them''. وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ means ''We made them''. Well, can anyone clarify this? Why the word رُجُومًا is translated as ''Missiles''? It actually means ''stones'' or ''throwing''.  And how can stars be thrown at the devils? Please explain this with proofs from dictionaries

As to the plural in question, no the English translation is correct.  But like I said, even if we take the other translation that you posted above, the Miracle still stands.  After all, if the LOWER HEAVEN'S STARS shoot rays at demons in other Noble Verses, then saying that the Heaven is made to strike the demons in your translation demonstrates that the Miracle is still there regardless.

Now, the plural of the stars is definitely going to be in the feminine.  This is because in Arabic, plural of the "its" (non human and non Angels and non jinns things) is always in the feminine.  For example, you would use  وَجَعَلْنَاهَا for plurals of:

1-  Dogs.
2-  Cats.
3-  Mountains.
4-  Rocks.
5-  Insects.
6-  Stars.
etc...

And even for nouns such as the following, we'd still use   وَجَعَلْنَاهَا :

1-  Armies.
2-  Tribes.
3-  Groups.
4-  Arabs, Americans, Russians, etc...

This is why in the Arabic poems, Arabs is used along with feminine plurals, such as قالت العرب.  QAALAT قالت is a feminine plural, which means "The Arabs have Said...."  You wouldn't say قالوا العرب .  No, قالوا QAALU is a masculine plural and it would be wrong.  If you were referring to specific men such as Osama, Farhan and Adeel for example, then you would use QAALU.

وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ is for male plural only for humans, Angels or jinns.  But even if we take your suggested translation above, which is as follows, we would still have no issues:

''And verily We have beautified the world's lowest heaven with lamps (i.e., STARS), and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.''

By the way, "Lowest Heaven" could be referring to our entire Universe with all of its trillions of Galaxies.  After all, Allah Almighty Said that He Created 7 Heavens.  So there could be seven different Universes out there.  This is further seen in the Quranic Fact that our Universe was a small Entity and then it exploded:

"Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?  (The Noble Quran, 21:30)"

Earth here could also be referring to physical planets, and not just necessarily one earth.  But either way, the big bang is clearly mentioned here.  So the Lowest Heaven could very well be referring to our Universe.

I just wanted to add some other things to brother Osama's answer. Brother Osama has said that stars do emit radiation hence allowing the stars to be used as missiles.

The stars themselves could also be used as missiles. Stars actually move at relativistic speeds, if you move considerably slower than them, to you they would be going fast. Remember that time is relative. So if stars move faster than you, then they could be used as missiles.

Do you know what else we have discovered? We have discovered that our universe is not slowing down in its expansion, but it is accelerating! Think about that, could stars then not be used as missiles if they are going THAT fast along with the universe.

Our own sun goes at 220 km/s. That's pretty fast if you ask me: Especially If I was moving at a slower speed next to that star. Not only would the star's immense gravity pull me towards it, but it would be coming at me at 220 km/s!  And if I get close enough, I would get incinerated.

Now, I don't want to get to far into this, but many physicists claim that worm hole travel is possible. Imagine going through a worm hole and being randomly tossed to a random point in the universe. And you happen to be tossed near a moving star. Looks like you are out of luck.

Secondly, the Quran uses the word "lamps", they don't have to refer to stars, they can just refer to energy sources creating light. In which case this can refer to quasars and anything else. If the Quran wanted to say that only stars can be used as missles, "najm" is a better word to use. But the Quran makes it clear that many other things including stars (in our classification) can refer to the missiles being thrown.

The skeptic's issue is perception. They perceive this verse as being ridiculous and it appears to be idiotic or superstitious. But that's just it, perception. They need to leave that realm of thought and think completely objectively. We don't know more things than we know about the world and the universe.  In which case, we would be able to perceive things as being ridiculous because we don't know about them.

Many people in the past have said that a virgin birth without male intervention is impossible and absurd to believe. But science has proved that we can impregnate women without male intervention or natural sperm. As knowledge progresses, we gain an understanding of things we once thought were absurd. Science progresses. Thousands of years ago, what we are doing today would be considered impossible and 'sorcery', but through knowledge we were able to develop technology beyond those ancient people's imaginations. With knowledge comes power. Allah has all knowledge thus making him capable of all things. So science right now does not have the knowledge on how to resurrect people, Allah does and he can. Think about it, 2 women having a baby would be considered absurd in ancient times, but now it is a reality. Genetic manipulation would be considered absurd, but now it is a reality. The same concepts apply here. We consider resurrection absurd, but with Allah it is a reality because he has the knowledge to make such a thing happen. Apply this to the stars being used as missiles. Imagine we were living at a time where we didn't know that stars moved. We would have thought that that was absurd. But through science stars move and emit radiation. Science has gotten closer to showing us that this verse isn't really absurd, that such a thing is possible. Knowledge is power, and Allah has all the knowledge. He is therefore all-powerful and all-able.

Brother Mclinkin94, thank you for your points on the traveling stars themselves could also be possibly be missiles, and on other sources of light and energies out there in the Universe.  Indeed, Allah Almighty's choice for Noble Word "Lamps" was not due to chance or accident.  Allah Almighty means what He Says in the Holy Quran.

I wanted to let you know that this verse (25:61) uses the word that is more accurately translated as constellations. So right away, you know that this verse is referring to the human perception of the sky! We see constellations and patterns in the sky, so it is our perception. So this verse is adhering to human perception to explain a beautiful phenomena of creation. Next you notice that the Quran says that Allah placed a burning lamp in the sky and a moon. In no way does this mean there is only one burning lamp or one moon, it is just stating that there is a burning lamp and a moon in the sky.

There are a few things that you need to notice about this verse. In no way does this verse say that the sun isn't a star, or that there is only one moon.

Next there is another verse in the Quran that addresses the STARS as being LAMPS, just as the sun is.

Quran 24:35 Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from [the oil of] a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. Allah guideth unto His light whom He will. And Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is Knower of all things.

I would like to add that Allah Almighty created the creatures on earth to live by day and night.  Some planets, and even parts on this earth, have very long days cycles and very long nights cycles.  Normal life on earth was designed by an equal rotation of the day and night.  So by Divine Design, Allah Almighty placed the moon to be our night light, and for the sun to be our glorious star.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said the following:

In this Hadith, above, he certainly seems to have known this fact very well.  And this Hadith is even older than Sahih Bukhari.  It is important to know that Imam Bukhari and others have declared that they have discarded thousands of Hadiths:

And the sun and the moon are joined,(75:9)

Can anyone explain the above verses? Why Allah says that the moon and the sun will be joined? As sun is much bigger than the moon , it should swallow it not get joined with it. I'm confused. I have read some articles where they say that through these verses Allah says that Sun will swallow the Moon before the Final Hour. But the verse uses ''JOINED'' not ''SWALLOWED''. Or is it talking about Solar eclipse? If so then the translation might me wrong.

Here are the Noble Verses:

‏75:7 فاذا برق البصر
‏75:8 وخسف القمر
‏75:9 وجمع الشمس والقمر
‏75:10 يقول الانسان يومئذ اين المفر

[075:007]  At length, when the sight is dazed,
[075:008]  And the moon is buried in darkness.
[075:009]  And the sun and moon are joined together,-
[075:010]  That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"

I believe this is a Prophecy about a Great Eclipse that will take place.  This actually makes sense, since when the Hour Comes, the Universe's orbits' path will turn into a spegetti mess on a massive scale, and all celestial bodies will be colliding violently with each others (See also Isaiah 1:9-17: Yahweh called Israel Sodom, because it spreads evil and is unjust).  So it makes sense that:

1-  Our atmosphere will change, and hence it will greatly effect our visions, since the sun rays are all magnified and become glorious, as we know them, through our atmosphere as Allah Almighty mentioned clearly in the Glorious Quran:

Lunar Eclipses do blur and permanently damage the eye's cornea:

3-  When the events in point #2 happen, then the sky will darken and the moon will be buried in darkness.

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother,

It is possible that the moon will eventually be swallowed by the sun, along with all of our solar system's celestial bodies.  We've seen above already how this Noble Verse is talking about the Great Lunar Eclipse when the Hour Comes.  As to the language of the sun and the moon will be joined together, while it is about a lunar eclipse, but it could also be referring to the moon eventually leaving its orbit here around earth and be devoured by the sun.  You see, the two immediate celestial bodies to us humans that our naked eyes could see up close and personal, from our view here on earth, are:

1-  The moon.
2-  The sun.

And they are the most relevant and vital celestial bodies for our life here on earth.  So if Allah Almighty spoke in limited language about the sun and the moon, it doesn't limit the event to just them.  But to us humans, since these two celestial bodies are what we see in considerable size and clarity from earth here, then they are the most relevant to us.  Plus as I said, they are the most relevant and vital to our life here on earth as well.  So Allah Almighty putting emphasis on the sun and the moon wouldn't mean that the Noble Verse is limited to just them.

As to the Arabic جمع (joined) in Noble Verse 75:9 above, it could very well be referring to being aligned together according to our view and perspective here on earth.  جمع is both a noun and a simple past in Arabic:

1-  جمع means a group for a noun.
2-  جمع means joined together, came together, summoned together, brought together, put together for a simple past.

The Noble Word would be very appropriate and suitable if Allah Almighty spoke about the Great Lunar Eclipse will happen when the Hour Comes.  And we see very clearly from the full context in Noble Verses 75:7-10, in the previous posts above, that Allah Almighty did indeed speak about a Lunar Eclipse will happen when the Hour comes.

As to your questions, here are my answers:

1-  As to copper, I've provided 16 pictures of sixteen metals (including copper), and have shown how similar they look to each others, dear brother.  A lot of the metal names that we have today are modern ones, and not ancient ones.  The ancient names for metals were limited.  You had only:

(a)-  Iron
(b)-  Copper
(c)-  Gold
(d)-  Silver
(e)-  And a few others (See also Isaiah 1:9-17: Yahweh called Israel Sodom, because it spreads evil and is unjust).

When people unearthed metals, they gave their best estimates on what these metals were akhi.  Copper consisted of a family of metals, and not just the single copper metal that we know today:

"Copper was the predominant early metal, especially after the technique of smelting it from its ores and trade made it widely available. It is still the third most important industrial metal, after iron and aluminium. Our word "copper" comes from the Plattdeutsch coper or koper, still used in Dutch. In Latin, it was known as cyprium aes, "brass from Cyprus" or "brass of Venus." Aes was the Latin for all coppery-bronzy-brassy alloys, which I have translated as "brass," though what we call brass was a later development, but still Classical. Copper in particular was also called adhenus, as was a copper pot. However, the Venusian name stuck in the West, and gave us cobre in Spanish, cuivre in French and Kupfer in German. In Welsh it is copr, which suggests that this word comes from old Celtic, and is unassociated with Venus. In Russian, copper is med', a quite different word, whose etymology might give us valuable information.

2-  As to your question:

شواظ من نار (flame of fire).  This is actually a weak translation.  Shawaath شواظ means pieces of fire: قِطْعة من نار.  If you go to www.baheth.info, and type in شواظ, you'll see the following explanation of Noble Verse 55:35:

الشُّواظ قِطْعة من نار ليس فيها نُحاس  means Shawaath is pieces of fire that have no copper in them.  They said that pieces of fire that have no copper.  But the second part here ("have no copper in them") is an opinion, and not a definition.  In fact, I disagree with them, because the Noble Verse here is speaking about:

1-  Objects of fire with copper.
2-  Objects of fire possibly without copper.

Both exist and both are possible. شواظ simply means molten objects of fire.  This is also where catapults, for example, throw شواظ of fire across the enemy's fortresses.  And the Noble Verse 55:35 further proves this with Its simple text that shawaath of fire and copper shall be sent against us.

So the molten rocks and metals that you talked about are in this part of the Noble Verse.  Copper was emphasized in the second part of the Noble Verse for a Divine Purpose.  But we know well that copper is out there in space.  And as I explained above, copper here consists of a family of metals, and not just a single metal.

Because the Universe out there is still filled with so much that we don't know, nor ever heard of.  And shawaath as I explained do mean physical objects.  It is a broader term.  It's like vehicle for example.  It includes cars, trucks and even motorcycles.  It could be any of these.  Same thing with Shawaath.  It's a broad term that refers to objects of fire.  They won't just be rocks, akhi.  Asteroids as we even know them today aren't just made of rocks.  And by the way, in space there is no atmosphere to let these rocks burn in.  So the objects of fire could be made of other materials.  The Universe is filled with so much that we don't know.  It could be burning objects that were projected from stars, or near by planets from them, that are made of certain gases and physical objects such as molten rocks and molten metals.  It depends on the star and its properties.  And it also depends on the type of "atmosphere" that we may enter in out there.  As I said, the Universe is still filled with so much that is unknown.
