Fairy Tales in the Bible
the dragon
who waged war in heaven
Christians
often like to make the claim that the Quran contains stories
which are just fables, fictional fairy tales and legends. Here are some of the claims set
forth by Christians:
http://./Shamoun/talking_beast.htm
In due time I will be responding to
those supposed claims by the Christian. However the purpose of this article is
to show that it is infact the Bible which contains the fairy
tales, and fables etc. Just look no further than the book of Revelations. Sometimes you
have to remind yourself that this isnt a magical fairy-tale book, but a supposed
revelation from God.
Revelations
12: 1-9
And there
appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her
feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried,
travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in
heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns
upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast
them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which
was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she
brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child
was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where
she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her
there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael
and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his
angels were cast out with him.
Is the book
of God, or is this some magical book? Quite a lot of interesting points to note, for one,
we see a lady who is clothed with the sun, and she has the moon under her feet! How
interesting.
It even gets
more interesting when we read that there was a war in heaven! A civil war you could say,
the angels gone bad versus the angels who still keep their loyalty with God, the bad
angels were lead by satan and the
dragon. While the good angels were lead by the angel Michael. What an amusing little story
wouldnt you say?
Note also,
this dragon has seven heads, and ten horns, how interesting. However so, there is one
slight problem with this. For one, how did the dragon enter
heaven? This raises the question, where is heaven? If the dragon managed to fly around and
enter heaven, then this would mean heaven is a physical presence, not some spiritual
world. However so, Christians believe heaven is a spiritual place, not a physical area. So
therefore, how was a dragon flying around in a spiritual world?
Thats not the only fable found in this book,
there is more:
Revelations
13: 1-5:
1 And I
stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the
sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and
upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which
I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as
the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed:
and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave
power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who
is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And
there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was
given unto him to continue forty and two months.
How amusing.
A beast rose from the sea, he had seven heads and ten horns! It seems John was having
nightmares when he was on this island.
Revelations
19:17
. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and
he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come
and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
How
interesting, an angel standing in the sun.
Much more
could be said, but I think that should do. So everyone, beware of the dragon!!!!
