Why a caliphate? The caliphate isn't anything special. When the caliphate wasnt working anymore the muslims threw it away and had to resort to a monarchy to govern the huge empire. Now, we use countries. We can still be united using countries. Alliances such as OIC and all that shizzle. Look to the future brother. There is no use looking at the past in a nostalgic sadness. The rrashidun only used the caliphate because it was the most iseful at the time. Now the caliph style of government will do more harm than good.

The caliphate wont bring back unity or improve the situation simply because the caliphate style of governance is now extinct. Saladin united the whole of the warring states and defeated the crusaders without the caliphate. The Prophet PBUH didnt rule as a Caliph. No where in Islam does it say you must use a caliphate to be successful, all it says it live and rule according to Islam. You can live according to Islam using countries and democracy. Its time muslims got their act together. Its because of unrealistic and unhelpful hopes like the caliphate that we are still in such a mess.

But also with strong cross-border cooperation and unity; socialism with the absence of nationalism. An egalitarian state promoting both individualism and collectivism. The ideal would be world unity through secular humanism, but the practical would be, as I see it, a socialist form of Pan-Islamism.

My conceptual nation could be labeled something akin to "The Democratic Federal Socialist Republic of the United Autonomous Provinces of the Islamic Commonwealth', the opposite of practically all governments in the world today, essentially. It's a seemingly novel idea, but it can become actualized, insha'Allāh.
