Dear Brother Osama,
The oinment worth 300 denarii was not wasted. The passage I referred to in my previous post was from John 12:1-7. This shows that when Jesus was in the house of Lazarus when Mary anointed Lord Jesus's feet with the ointment - verse 3 Mary therefore took a pound[a] of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
Dear brother Jesus.breadoflife,
So now you agree with me that the Lord Jesus Christ was already an annointed Messiah before the crucifixion. He wasn't just a mere Prophet and just Jesus. No, he was the Lord Messiah (Al-Sayyed Al-Maseeh as we say in Arabic). So, the women coming to the tomb with "spices" is a misleading interpretation and a translation, because there was no need to annoint him in the tomb.
And why would you annoint a dead person to become the Messiah anyway?? So this clearly shows that in
Luke 24:1, the women actually came to the tomb (cave which Christ was laying on the floor in) with MEDICINE to the live and hurt Jesus (not a dead one), and not just mere spices.
Furthermore, if they truly wanted to annoint him to be the Messiah in the tomb (cave), then they would've also brought men with them. Three women sounds very suspicious, if not ridiculous, to annoint THE LORD MESSIAH, the King of the Jews and King of entire earth when he returns.
If you look at Mathew 26:6-12, Jesus is again in Bethany but this time he is at the house of Simon the leper. The woman came to him with "an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table". Lord Jesus says in verse 12, "In pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial." None of his words are in vain.
You see, this is where the New Testament shows its corruption and fabrications. What does a wiping of Jesus to make him the Messiah, in front of people and the disciples, have to do with burial? And who told you that "burial" here means actual death? The Bible is so filled with metaphores that you really can't take it literally. The Bible in so many verses uses terms such as GOD, DEATH, LIFE loosely.
Furthermore,
Jesus was never burried. Burried to us today means that one would be placed in a coffin and burried underground. This NEVER happened to Jesus. He was only put in a cave on the floor, wrapped in cloths, and rested there for 3 or so days. So no burrial occured, which further proves that the Bible here is also speaking in metaphores:
I find it difficult to believe that you suggested that Lord Jesus faked his own death. Firstly, if he did not want to die, all he had to do was to was ask God and he would be saved. When Lord Jesus was arrested and his disciples tried to prevent this by taking the sword, this is what Lord Jesus said,
Mathew 26:52,53
52 Then Jesus said to him, Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
Telling half-truth and tricking the enemy is nothing new in the Bible. Yahweh Almighty did it in the Old Testament:
1 Samuel 16:1-131 The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king."
2 But Samuel said, "How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me." The LORD said, "Take a heifer with you and say, 'I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.'
3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate."
4 Samuel did what the LORD said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, "Do you come in peace?"
5 Samuel replied, "Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me." Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, "Surely the LORD's anointed stands here before the LORD."
7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, "The LORD has not chosen this one either."
9 Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, "Nor has the LORD chosen this one."
10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, "The LORD has not chosen these."
11 So he asked Jesse, "Are these all the sons you have?" "There is still the youngest," Jesse answered, "but he is tending the sheep." Samuel said, "Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives."
12 So he sent and had him brought in. He was ruddy, with a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD said, "Rise and anoint him; he is the one."
13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came upon David in power. Samuel then went to Ramah. So as we clearly see, Yahweh Almighty Himself supposedly tricked the enemies of David into thinking that Samuel came to sacrifice, when in actuality this wasn't his primary purpose and mission. His primary mission was to annoint David,
which was kept hidden under the Command of GOD Almighty.
Furthermore, did not GOD Almighty send LYING SPIRITS THAT CAUSED PEOPLE TO LIE many times in the Old Testament?
1 Kings 22:21-2321 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.'
22 " 'By what means?' the LORD asked. " 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,' he said. " 'You will succeed in enticing him,' said the LORD. 'Go and do it.'
23 "So now the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you."2 Chronicles 18:21 " 'I will go and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,' he said. " 'You will succeed in enticing him,' said the LORD. 'Go and do it.'So why couldn't Jesus Christ fake his death on the cross? And even if he never faked it, he could've easily passed out from all of the fatigueness and tiredness that his body had to endure. But he most certainly never died.

http://www.answering-christianity.com/spirit.htmSecondly, Lord Jesus would basically be lying if he had faked his own death. And since he had said that he came to do the will of the Father, you are suggesting that God lied to all the people who were at the crucifixion. There are two points to consider here. What purpose would this have achieved? If it was God's will that Jesus shouldn't die, then surely it would have been better to save him publicly so that sinners may repent, listen to Jesus and turn to the Father. Most importantly, God is righteous and truthful.
Isaiah 45:19
I did not speak in secret,
in a land of darkness;
I did not say to the offspring of Jacob,
‘Seek me in vain.’[a]
I the Lord speak the truth;
I declare what is right.
In a world that was at the time already full of darkness, idolatory and lies, would God really give people another lie to believe in?
My dear brother, you are the one who is considering it a lie, when the Bible clearly permits it.
As to your question:
"What purpose would this have achieved? If it was God's will that Jesus shouldn't die, then surely it would have been better to save him publicly so that sinners may repent, listen to Jesus and turn to the Father."In Islam, we don't believe the Lord Jesus Christ (Al-Sayyed Al-Maseeh in Arabic) died, nor got crucified. My discussion with you, dear brother, is based on what the New Testament currently says. And even with what the New Testament says, we can clearly see that Christ never died. But the Islamic point of view is Jesus was saved.
And again like I mentioned in my previous reply, this is assuming that he was actually put on the cross from the first place. If you remember the New Testament account,
Pilot stood BETWEEN TWO "JESUS SON OF HIS FATHER" (Jesus Baraba) when he stood before the multitudes. We had two Jesus' whose fathers were not known. Our Jesus Christ was also called Jesus son of his father, because he had no known human father. So it is quite possible that our Lord Jesus Christ (Al-Sayyed Al-Maseeh) never got crucified at all. The other Jesus was a rebel who killed two Roman soldiers, because he was a Jew who didn't want his people to be ruled by pagans. For more details, visit:

http://www.answering-christianity.com/which_jesus_released_and_which_crucified.htmYour points on http://www.answering-christianity.com/balanced_lies_rebuttal.htm do not look at the verses in the Bible in the same meaning that it was written in. As time does not permit me to go through them all, I shall address a couple for now. Paul is not saying that it would be OK to lie nor did he lie.
Romans 3:7
7 But if through my lie God's truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?
This is the verse you referrred to and upon reading it, it clearly shows that if I tell a lie in order that God may be glorified, I would be condemned as a sinner irregardless. Paul is talking about a hypothetical situation - note the use of the word 'if'.
Philippians 1:15-18
15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. 16 The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.
You say that this shows that Paul lied for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. These verses do not show that at all. What Paul says is that he is aware of some who proclaim the name of Lord Jesus for their own selfish ambition. Yet Paul rejoices not in their lies but in the truth that they say - the Gospel of the Lord. How can he not rejoice when the Gospel is spread for the saving of many lives? After all, it is the spirit of God who works in people's hearts - not men whether they be liars or truthful. Those who lie will have to stand before God in judgement.
This is what Paul says in Philippians 1:9-11 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. As this is what he believed and urged others to do, he would not lie.
My dear brother, the text is crystal clear about Paul saying that if he had to lie, then he would. No need to re-translate it and re-interpret it. Here is what the English translation says:
Philippians 1:15-1815 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
16 The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.
17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.
18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.Romans 3:1-81 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what is the profit of circumcision?
2 Much every way: first of all, that they were intrusted with the oracles of God.
3 For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God?
4 God forbid: yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment.
5 But if our righteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath?
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 But if the truth of God through my lie abounded unto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
8 and why not, Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just. [/quote]
John 6:35
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst
God bless you all.
The Lord Jesus Christ (Al-Sayyed Al-Maseeh in Arabic) is nothing without his Creator, GOD Almighty. All authority was given to Jesus here on earth, and earth only, by GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty made him the heir of earth:
http://www.answering-christianity.com/jesus_heir_of_god_lie.htmFurthermore, Jesus' attributes here on earth, such as forging sins and what have you, - which are heavily used by Trinitarians to prove their blasphemies about Jesus being the Creator of the Universe, - do not prove anything. Let us examine the following verses to shed more light on this point:
Luke 5:17-24Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.
18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.
19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.â€
21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?â€
22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority ON EARTH to forgive sins.†So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.â€Jesus' authority was ONLY earthly. It was limited to this planet earth, and nothing more! And this is nothing new in the Bible, by the way.
Others in the Old Testament were able to do these things, and also raise the dead. So Jesus being the bread of life, and having the authority to forgive sins, and what have you is nothing but metaphores, and privileges that were given to him by his Creator, Allah Almighty. Otherwise, Jesus is absolutely a nothing and a nobody when compared to GOD Almighty. In fact, add all creations with Jesus and still we all add up to absolute nothing when compared to GOD Almighty.
And I would like remind you that the Lord Christ always rejected to be elated by humans, and he always reminded them that GOD Almighty is Absolute One, and no one is beside Him, and no one is part of Him, the Almighty:
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. (From the NIV Bible, Mark 12:29)"
Notice the "our God". GOD Almighty is Jesus' GOD and Creator. It's really simple, dear brother. It's very simple. It's the Trinitarians who are the lost and complicated ones.
""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"
"I do nothing of myself" (John 8:28)Even when Christ performed Miracles, he always took permission from GOD Almighty, and seeking GOD Almighty to give him the power to perform the Miracle. He couldn't do a thing by himself.
