I had a scary dream the other night about Hell Fire....
« on: January 24, 2013, 07:08:24 PM »
As'salamu Alaikum everyone,

I'll try to explain the dream as best as I can.  I was standing on some ground inland.  Nothing unusual.  And then, I was picked up by some invisible being, perhaps an Angel, and taken on a high speed to some unknown place here on earth.  I wasn't very high from the ground.  And suddenly, I am over this big sea of red lava, descending to it at a very high speed, I was hearing screams of doomed people, but couldn't see anyone, nor was told anything.  And then as I was dropping to this sea, I stopped right above it.  I must've been only few inches or meters above its roaring waves.  The heat was a stealthy one, similar to that of hot oil.  You can place your finger an inch right above it, but if you dip it in it, then it'll burn a 2nd or even 3rd degree burn.  But above it, it's harmless.

This is how this lake of Hell was.  As I started getting myself together, while over this vast sea, I looked around me.  I went in a 360 degrees circle around myself, and it was nothing but a terrifying lava-sea with angry waves.  The nearest mountain (land) was far far far away.  I was totally helpless, and I was hearing screams of many people.  Yet, I was standing there shivering not knowing when will I fall.  Then the dream ended and I woke up.

After I woke up, immediately two phrases played in my mind by someone else's voice.  I don't know who's voice it was, but it was a man's voice.  There was a couple of seconds pause between them.  The two phrases were:

1-  Lake of Sulfer.
2-  Not one of you, but shall pass over It.

Now I know that the first phrase is straight out of the New Testament, and it is when Jesus Christ returns and fights the anti-Christ, and throws all of his followers into the Lake of Sulfer here on earth.

The second phrase is straight out of the Glorious Quran, where Allah Almighty Said that all of us, humans (and all of His creations), shall pass over Hell Fire on the Day of Judgement.

I swear to Allah Almighty this was a real dream, and what I stated above was as close as I could honestly describe it.  My description doesn't do the scene any justice, because it was terrifying.  I am a grown man, and I swear by Allah Almighty's Holy Name, I woke up shaking from fear, and my teeth were chattering.  It was a very scary scene, and if felt very real.

Feel free to comment.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Asalamwalaiukum warahmatullah

Dont get upset because of a scary dream, its probably a trick of shaytan to scare you.  If you are doing what you are supposed to do as a muslim, then Allah will save you from the fire.  Also, hell will be different from that.     Also:

My brother, I heard you cant share bad dreams because it is haram. Im sorry I cant support this with evidence but im 100% sure you arent supposed to share ur BAD dreams.  I listened to a speech by the imam in my masjid a year ago and he said it has negative effects. You can go search it yourself.  I think sheikh Albani or sheikh Uthaymeen said this also.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,

I am not sure if this was a bad dream.  It was scary and terrifying, but I am not sure about it being bad.  Honestly, and I know this might sound a bit silly, but I think this dream has given me more confirmation that Islam is indeed the Divine Truth.  Not that I need anything to prove to me that the Glorious Quran is Overwhelmingly and Stunningly Miraculous, and is well beyond, in Holiness and Majesty and Power and Reverence, anything that ever walked on this earth, including all of the Prophets put together multiplied by infinity.  I mean after all, I didn't burn in Hell, while being over it.  I was suddenly stopped from the free fall inches above Hell.

By the way, I did feel pains in the past in my dreams.  I once dreamt that I was attacked by a lion, and he did bite me.  I naturally placed my arm in front of my face and in his mouth because he was going for my face.  I did feel the pain and then suddenly the dream ended.  But I did feel the heavy bite.  It was bad.  I also dreamt before of falling from the Niagara Falls.  And also bitten by a Great White Shark.  I had those dreams and felt their hurts.  But in Hell here, it was harmless, and more importantly I was saved, despite the fact that it was overhwelmingly terrifying, and I was surrounded with Hell all around me.

I don't know what all of this means.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

"So when I went to bed one night, I said, "O Allah! If you see any good in me, show me a good dream." So

while I was in that state, there came to me (in a dream) two angels. In the hand of each of them, there was a mace of iron, and

both of them were taking me to Hell, and I was between them, invoking Allah, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from Hell." Then

I saw myself being confronted by another angel holding a mace of iron in his hand. He said to me, "Do not be afraid, you will be

an excellent man if you only pray more often." So they took me till they stopped me at the edge of Hell, and behold, it was built

inside like a well and it had side posts like those of a well, and beside each post there was an angel carrying an iron mace. I saw

therein many people hanging upside down with iron chains, and I recognized therein some men from the Quraish. Then (the

angels) took me to the right side. I narrated this dream to (my sister) Hafsa and she told it to Allah's Apostle. Allah's Apostle said,

"No doubt, [Osama] 'Abdullah is a good man." (Nafi' said, "Since then 'Abdullah bin 'Umar used to pray much.)" [Sahih of Bukhari, vol 9 p

127-8 no 155]

May Allah Almighty curse me if I lied, akhi.  By Allah Almighty's Holy Name, and by His Holy Quran I had this dream.  I honestly had it, and it was terrifying.  It was a sea of molten lava underneath me.  But like I said, it wasn't hot for being close to it.  But it was a vast sea of volcano lava under me.  So you can imagine how scary that would be.  And while it didn't hurt me with its heat, but I certainly know that it would've vaporized me if I fell into it.  And like I said, I was hearing screams of many people, but yet I didn't see anyone.

I personally think that the more you're into something, the more the possibility that you'll get dreams about it.  In my case, I am sooooo very into the Lifeafter and what it really is like.  I mean, my mind is always thinking about it on daily basis.  I don't think a day would pass by without pondering upon this issue.  And so, it is only normal to get a dream about it.

Now I really don't know what the dream meant.  Dreams are tricky, and we can't just force them to mean certain things.  I had this dream, and I wanted to share it with everyone to get some input.  The events that happened in the dream were 100% beyond my control, except the one where I looked 360 degrees around.  The free fall and the fear and the suspension above the sea of Hell lava were 100% beyond my control.  I had absolutely no control over them in my dream.  They were events that were happening, and I was completely helpless.

I hope this helps, insha'Allah, dear brother.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

I also just remembered something:

While being suspended above the vast roaring sea of Hell lava, and the nearest land was a mountain (maybe two) that was far far far far away, and there was nothing but the vast sea all around me when I looked 360 degrees around myself, I remember me telling myself in the dream (while shivering from fear): "I didn't fall".  Or "You didn't fall".  It was one of the two.  It did dawn on me, and it did occur to me that I actually did not fall.  And then the dream ended.  It wasn't like I was free falling and then woke up.  No!  I did come to a complete sudden stop.  And I wasn't hurt.  I was full of fear and shivering, and my teeth were chattering, but I didn't get hurt.  And I actually stayed long enough to ponder upon what I was above.  I took the 360 degree view all around myself.  I had all of these seconds to do all of this while being fully stopped and fully safely suspended.  That I guarantee you that it did happen in the dream.  Wallahi with all honesty.  By Allah Almighty's Holy Name, this is what happened.

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Another thing I just remembered.  After I woke up, and I believe I also said this during the dream (not sure when though), and after I calmed down I had a tear in my eye and said: "Habibi ya Allah.  Ya Habibi ya Allah.  Rahmitak ya Allah", which translates: "My Beloved, O Allah.  O my Beloved, O Allah.  Your Mercy (bestow it upon me), O Allah".  Then my heart calmed.  I always always always always get calm in my heart when I call upon Allah Almighty in humility.  It's called Sakina (Sakeena) sent down on my heart.  There are many Noble Verses in the Glorious Quran that speak about the Sakina.

I also almost always address Allah Almighty with "My Beloved....." and end His Holy Name with a Glorifying term, such as "Almighty", or "Sovereign GOD of the Universe".  But I almost always start with "O my Beloved, O Allah."

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Yeah I didn't have this dream, but one month ago, I had a dream about Donald Trump in our mosque. I wasn't sure what he said, but he talked about "stupid birds". I was sitting in the middle of the room, but some Muslim ladies were sitting behind me, which is unusual. I started to left the mosque and I woke up.

Wa Alaikum Assalam brother....

brother if you woke up scared, than most probably it was not a true dream...

If you were fine when you woke up, thn the dream, according to my perceptionŲŒ could mean such inevitable circumstances where you would be extremely close to destruction or any suffering napozubillah, but In Sha Allah, Allah would keep you safe...You would feel the disaster, but you won't suffer In Sha Allah....you would even feel the pain of ppl suffering so brother do pray for yourself and even for your family,so that Allah would save you from every kind of evil and suffering...
