Radicals and extremists

maybe ac could have a section dedicated to refuting extremist or fundemental claims, eg. it is forbidden to watch TV, listen to music, not be friends with non muslims, kill non believers, all hadith are correct, take the literal meaning etc. I know you have articles but do u have a section.
maybe give advice on how you could stop this

Umm Salama, the wife of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), used to say that all wives of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) disclaimed the idea that one with this type of fosterage (having been suckled after the proper period) should come to them. and said to 'A'isha:
By Allah, we do not find this but a sort of concession given by Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) only for Salim, and no one was ging to be allowed to enter (our houses) with this type of fosterage and we do not subscribe to this view.

Do you know the Prophet Muhammad (may Almighty Allah bless him and grant him peace) himself told us not to be extremists?

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Beware of going to extremes (in religion), for those before you were only destroyed through excessiveness.” [An-Nasai]

Allah Most High says in the Quran, “Say: O people of the Book, do not be excessive in your religion.’” [4:171]


There's really no excuse to be a radical. If it was just a hadith that warned against extremism ok thats bad but there is even a verse in the quran warning against it.

It was narrated that Abu Al-Aliyah said:
"Ibn Abbas said: "On the morning of Al-Aqabah, while he was on his mount, the Messenger of Allah said to me: "Pick up (some pebbles) for me." So I picked up some pebbles for him that were the size of date stones or fingertips, and when I placed them in his hand he said: "Like these. And beware of going to extremes in religious matters, for those who came before you were destroyed because of going to extremes in religious matters." (Sahih) (Sunan an-Nasa'i Vol. 3, Book 24, Hadith 3059)
