Proof from the Bible that Jesus is not God or son of God
« on: April 16, 2022, 06:00:26 PM »
Let me prove to you that Jesus is not God or son of God and from the Bible.

When Jesus says that (The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father,) he clearly means that he is not god because he does not have any authority. Then when Jesus says (I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me), it does not mean that Jesus and the Father are one. (I am in the Father) means that he is protected and supported by God, (and that the Father is in me) means that the love of God is in Jesus e.g. Jesus keeps thinking of how to please God.

•   John (14:10) Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

This is to prove that God is one God and Jesus is a Lord. The meaning of a Lord is not god, it means master, leader, king.

•   Ephesians (1:3) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Jesus will tell Christians on the Day of Judgment that he never knew them and to stay away of him because they are evildoers. As you see in the verse, Christians will tell Jesus that we did everything that you commanded us to do, but Jesus will tell Christians that I did not tell you in the Bible that I am God, but you considered me part of God or God. For this reason, Jesus will say to Christians to stay away of him. Please note that they called Jesus Lord, they did not call him God. I already explained to you the meaning of Lord in previous verse.

•   Matthew (7:22-23) Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

The Bible says that Jesus is a mediator between God and men. Therefore, this is a proof that Jesus is not God. Please note that the Bible says that Jesus gave himself a ransom for all (to be testified in due time). The meaning of (to be testified in due time) is to testify on the Day of Judgment before God that he never told mankind that he is god.

•   1 Timothy (2:5-6) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus said (I ascend unto … and to my God, and your God). Please note that Jesus said (my God) which means that he is not God. I just don’t understand what’s more proof the church needs to see in order to understand that Jesus is not God.

•   John (20:17) “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

Jesus told people (our God) which means the God of Jesus and the God of people. This is the principle of Islam that God is one and if you associate any partner with him or you worship another god other than Him, you will never enter paradise and you will be destroyed in hellfire forever.

•   Mark (12:29) Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

I just don’t understand how Christians believe that God came to earth in the shape of a man while God says that He is not a man.

•   Hosea (11:9) I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

•   Numbers (23:19) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Christians believe that Jesus is god or part of God because there are few verses in the Bible that says that they worship Jesus. Please understand that the meaning of (let all the angels of God worship Him) is (let angels accept him and obey him). God also says in Quran that He instructed all angels to bow down (prostrate) to Adam. This does not mean that Adam is god or part of God. It just simply means that God wants all angels to obey Adam and to consider him the leader.

•   Hebrews (1:6) And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”

•   Quran (2:34) And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees (Satan). He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

This verse is incorrect because it says that every knee will bow to Jesus who is on earth. But more than 70% of people on earth don’t believe that Jesus is god and they never bowed to him, but the verse says (every) which means 100%.

•   Philippians (2:10) so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Those who are in the boat (worshiped him) mean that they obeyed him and honoured him and followed his instructions and teaching precisely. Please note that they told him that you are son of God, they did not tell him you are God. The meaning of son of God does not mean son (partner), it means one of those who are closed in love to God because the Bible says about many prophets that they are sons of God like Adam …

•   Matthew (14:33) And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!”

•   Luke (3:38) Kenan was the son of Enosh. Enosh was the son of Seth. Seth was the son of Adam. Adam was the son of God.

Please note that this verse says king of the Jews which means leader. Then it says (worship him) which I already explained above that they honoured and obeyed him and followed his instructions and teachings, and also as I mentioned above in Quran that all angels bow down to Adam…

•   Matthew (2:2) “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

Again, in this verse the man called Jesus (lord) which I explained above with proof that it means leader. I already explained the meaning of worshiped him many times above which means accepted to follow his teaching.

•   John (9:37–38) Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

If the meaning of (worship me) as I mentioned above is that Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “the Father is greater than I”.

•   John (14:28) You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

If Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “My father… is greater than all”.

•   John (10:29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

If Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “By myself I can do nothing… for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me”.

•   John (5:30) By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

If Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “…they belong to the Father who sent me”.

•   John (14:24) Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

If Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”.

•   John (17:3) Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

If Jesus is god, why did he say in this verse “Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved by God to you…”

•   Acts (2:22) "Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as you yourselves know,

If Jesus is god, why did he tell people that he is NOT good, and “No one is good except God alone”.

•   Luke (18:18-19) Then a certain ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.

I hope this may convince you that Jesus is not God, but a prophet of God like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, etc. The principle of Islam is to believe willingly in your heart and say in your tongue that:
“There is no god but One God, Mohamed is His prophet, and Jesus son of Mary is not god or son of God but a prophet of God”

With Great Respect,

Jazaka Allah Khayr, dear brother Fadi.  Christianity is indeed a false religion.  Period.  Ample articles that support your points exist at:

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother Fadi and Everyone,

Here is a new discovery.  Sons and Daughters of GOD title will be no more according to Isaiah 56:5-6:

Isaiah 56:5-7
Revised Standard Version
5 I will give in my house and within my walls
    a monument and a name
    better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
    which shall not be cut off.

6 “And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,
    to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord,
    and to be his servants,
every one who keeps the sabbath, and does not profane it,
    and holds fast my covenant—
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain,
    and make them joyful in my house of prayer;
their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
    will be accepted on my altar;
for my house shall be called a house of prayer
    for all peoples.

The broader context of this Prophecy is that there will come the day when a greater title will be given to the Believers that is greater than the "Sons and Daughters" of GOD.  This prophecy will most likely be fulfilled by the Messiah's return, peace be upon him, when he defeats the anti-Christ and his armies.  Islam also believes in the return of the Messiah the son of our virgin mother, Mary, peace be upon both of them.  So it is quite possible that the Divine Revelations that he will receive will make the Sabbath be the Holy Day upon all of the nations of the earth after the Messiah defeats the anti-Christ and his armies.  Even the NT says Jesus will return from the East (Arabia):

The name in Isaiah 56:5 will include the non-Jews too (foreigners), and it will be an everlasting one.  Yes indeed, Muslim is the name.  The people of Antioch after Jesus invented the name Christian.  Jesus never called his followers "Christians".  But the official name has always been Muslim.  Even the Jews admit this:

Luke 6:40
40 A student is not above his Lord (rabbo), but every human who is a Muslim (kal adam she'MUSHLAM) is like his Lord (yihyeh k'rabbo).

1-  In slang Arabic, which is a sister language to Aramaic, SHE means ALWAYS, EVERYTHING, EVERYONE (ex: "aawiz she?" Do you want anything?).

2-  Arabic is far more documented, and much richer, than the nearly-extinct languages of Syriac and Aramaic.

3-  kal adam she'MUSHLAM means:

kal = every.  In Arabic it is kul.
adam = human.
she'MUSHLAM = every adam who is a Muslim.

Jesus also in Luke 6:40 called the believers Muslims:

Now foreigners are not Jews.  So they're under the Law of Moses and the Sabbath.  So the part about who "do not desecrate the Sabbath" has two meanings:

1-  Not be against the Jews honoring the Sabbath.  Islam certainly fits this well.  Please also visit:

www.answering-christianity.com/god_kingdom.htm  (Jesus in NT said the Kingdom of GOD will be given to the Muslims)
www.google.com/search?q=do+Muslims+desecrate+the+Sabbath

2-  Not at war with the Sabbath.  Islam is also not at war with the Sabbath.  We respect the Jewish Law, but we are not under it.  Even their scriptures say that the new covenant will be from Arabia and to an Arabian Prophet:

All the nations:

Again, Islam also believes in the return of the Messiah the son of our virgin mother, Mary, peace be upon both of them.  So it is quite possible that the Divine Revelations that he will receive will make the Sabbath be the Holy Day upon all of the nations of the earth after the Messiah defeats the anti-Christ and his armies.  Even the NT says Jesus will return from the East (Arabia):

The following prophecy from Isaiah also supports that the Sabbath will/might become earth's Holy Day after Allah Almighty establishes his Messiah's Kingdom here on earth and upon all of the nations of the earth:

Isaiah 66:22-23
Revised Standard Version
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth
    which I will make
shall remain before me, says the Lord;
    so shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 From new moon to new moon,
    and from sabbath to sabbath,
all flesh shall come to worship before me,
says the Lord.

Isaiah 56:5-7
Revised Standard Version
5 I will give in my house and within my walls
    a monument and a name
    better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
    which shall not be cut off.

6 “And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,
    to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord,
    and to be his servants,
every one who keeps the sabbath, and does not profane it,
    and holds fast my covenant—
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain,
    and make them joyful in my house of prayer;
their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
    will be accepted on my altar;
for my house shall be called a house of prayer
    for all peoples.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah
