What do you think about this?
« on: August 13, 2012, 03:00:54 PM »
«Allah - there is no deity except Him (Isaiah 46:9), the Ever-Living , the Sustainer of [all] existence (i.e. YHWH; Isaiah 57:15; Job 31:15; Psalms 36:9). Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep (Psalms 121:4) To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth (Psalms 24:1) Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them (Isaiah 46:10), and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not (Isaiah 40:28). And He is the Most High, the Most Great.» (Psalms 95:3;96:4;47:2) [Qur'an 2:255]
Some similarities, I guess. What do you think?
«We were the lowest of all people and then Allah gave us glory by Islam, and if we seek glory in anything other that what Allah has given us, Allah will disgrace us.» Umar ibn Khattab

Surely the old testament and Quran have lots in common , but old testament has some concepts that seem to degrade the almighty.

Of course they have similarities, all those books are sent down BY ALLAH Teâlâ, and it isn't likely that Allah changes minds and decides not to be the Sustainer of Existence any longer. Let's take the Bible, have you read things about Genesis lately, well if that's Allah's word then bite me. It is clearly that verses in the Bible are manufactured by people, and we thought it would be hilarious to put those things in. And I also assume that many people were unfettered at the time of Jesus(PBUH) and more people could learn the Qur'an out of their head and could deliver Allah's message to further generations. However I am not certain about many people beingbunlettered, it's just an assumption.

Peace be upon you brothers,

Assalaam,
