Ishmael is not the father of the Arabs. Ishmael, peace be upon him, was a Prophet. His Message, however, was not to last for all time and all places. Like Noah and others, peace be upon them, his Scriptures no longer exist. So the everlasting
warner to all Arabs and all of mankind was Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Similarly in the Bible, we find the people who even pre-date Judaism did circumambulation around Jerusalem. Also the Bible prophesied that GOD Almighty will established His House in the
desert of Kedar, who is Ishmael's son. This is the Kaaba today.

The black stone is not holy in Islam. It was no more than an asteroid sent by GOD Almighty to determine the location of where the Kaaba to be built by Abraham and Ishmael, peace be upon them. And today, it is placed in one of the Kaaba's corners to mark the start and finish of the 7 circumambulations (tawaaf) around the Kaaba.
