I was wondering if there was any such feature as editing PMs just like we do with posts on the forums?

Assalmualaikom Bro Abd-Al-Rahman ,the feauture of editing PMs after sending is nowhere in any board, you know why?

because suppose you send un-eidted PM ,and the receiver  viewed his post just one second after your sending the PM .....  it means if you edit it ,he won't know about that ,as it is unusual for a person to view a PM more than once ...

May Allah bless you ....

...............................................................

I have very important suggestions to the forum:

1- there must be arrangements and order in the forum ,making sections eg:

1- clarification about Islam section . directed at refuting the misconceptions about islm, answering any question related to Islam in all of it aspects.

2- comparative religions section ,directed at other religions.

3- there must be a pinned topic on forum rules .

You should make a post on analyzing this hadith, and only this hadith
Bukhari Volume 3, Book 43, Number 648
since the islamophobes always use it to back up their claims that:

1. Arabian Women before islam had more rights than those after Islam
2. The Prophet (PBUH) has a love affair with Maria the Copt
3. The prophet changed the Sunnah to make Umar happe (I dont know where they got that from).
4. Others I cannot say.

Those who use this claim are (These are just the ones I Know):
1. Jihad Watch
2. Answering Islam
3. Religion of Peace
4. The prophet of Doom
5. Wikiislam
6. Ali ZINA (btw love the name ;))
7. Islam-watch
8. Ibn Warraq
9. Sex-in-Islam

If you do a rebuttal and refute the argument in this hadith particularly (Since they tend to concentrate mostly in this Hadith when backing up there claim), then you will refuting more than 1 person and they will have to find a different claim, which will show there incompetence.
I think it will be a great idea

Well, I won't go into much detail, but look at this article: http://www.wikiislam.net/wiki/Islamic_Prophecies:_Preservation_of_the_Quran
They say:
Quote
This claim of "fulfilled prophecy" is almost laughable! There is absolutely no evidence that the Quran is exactly the way it was when Muhammad revealed it roughly 1450 years ago. When it was revealed, Muhammad's companions memorized parts of it, and wrote other parts down on leaves, animal bones and other things. The Quran was not compiled within Muhammad's time, so there wasn't even a standardized text in existence with which we can compare. All we have is the faulty human memory (for recitations) to show us that the Quran remained as one uniform "book" up until the time of Uthman. Uthman, of course collected all Quranic fragments/writings/recitations together; those that he had access to, and decided what the "official version" of the Quran should be. He sent a copy of this "new" Quran off to each Town and ordered that all deviating copies be burnt.

There is good article on preservation here: http://www.answering-christianity.com/quran/quran_textual-reply.html

And a big page on manuscripts: http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Text/Mss/
«We were the lowest of all people and then Allah gave us glory by Islam, and if we seek glory in anything other that what Allah has given us, Allah will disgrace us.» Umar ibn Khattab

As-Salamu `Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh akhi,

The evidence that the Noble Qur'an was never changed is logic. Ever since the revelation of the Glorious Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad (may Almighty Allah bless him and grant him peace), a great sum of believers memorized it. There was no interval of time except that a great sum of believers memorized and revised the Glorious Qur'an regularly. I don't get the point they are trying to make. Sayyidina Uthman bin Affan (may Almighty Allah be pleased with him) did not add or delete anything from his own brain. I heard that he used to read the whole Qur'an every night. He ordered all copies to be burnt because some people were either attempting to change or were making mistakes in reciting the Glorious Qur'an. If he did make any mistakes in the copy of the Glorious Qur'an, I am 100% certain that at least one of the thousands of Muslims living at his time would have noticed and informed him.

Brothers, these anti-Islam people (or whatever they are called :P) lack knowledge not just in religion, but in logic. I, and I'm sure 99% of all other people, don't even get the point they are trying to make in most of their posts. The worst part is how they show very few facts and conceal all the other relevant facts, therefore changing the whole meaning. It's like one of us goes up to a Christian and says, "The Bible says Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) was a messenger," and completely just leaves out the sixteenth verse of the third chapter in the Gospel of Saint John (peace and blessings be upon him) where Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) is described to be a begotten son of God.

I know that this verse is but a fabrication and is even agreed to be so by the most knowlegeable Christian scholars, but it's the point I'm trying to prove. :P

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother Zulfiqar,

Thank you for the suggestion akhi.  The music article was removed from my site years ago.  I will insha'Allah read your link and see to it.

Take care,
