Like comedy having a laugh and such with friends and when it says we won't hear laghaw and sinful speech in heaven does that mean we won't be able to look at the history of the world or hear the quran like when moses peace be upon him faces against pharoh like when pharoh says I'm god and moses peace be upon him stops him and such or when the prophet muhammad peace be upon him how to deal with people swearing at him and saying disgusting things does that mean we won't be able to watch that or hear that how he dealt with these people and how he was treated and what they said etc from history and the quran like what they said etc

As'salamu Alaikum Mark,

Welcome to the blog.  May Allah Almighty further lead you to Islam.  Ameen.

Regarding لغو (laghu), it means rubbish talk, or nonsense, or talk that is made of bad things, or vain.  See Noble Verses 19:62, 23:3, 25:72, 28:55, 31:6-7, 56:25, 78:35.

From www.answering-christianity.com/quran_moral_code.htm:

When you hear rubbish talk, or nonsense, or talk that is made of bad things, or vain, don't stay and listen to it.  Pass by it (‏والذين لايشهدون الزور واذا مروا باللغو مروا كراما). Nonsense, vain and nonsensical talk are forbidden.

[023:003] Who avoid vain talk; والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون

[028:055]  And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: "To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant. سلام عليكم لانبتغي الجاهلين"

واذا سمعوا اللغو اعرضوا عنه وقالوا لنا اعمالنا ولكم اعمالكم سلام عليكم لانبتغي الجاهلين

Again, see Noble Verses 19:62, 23:3, 25:72, 28:55, 31:6-7, 56:25, 78:35.

No Laghu in Heaven:

This does not include the Glorious Quran, for the Glorious Quran contains no laghu in It.  The Noble Verses are talking about the inhabitants of Heaven and their regular conversations:

[078:035]  No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-

[056:025]  Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,-

[019:062]  They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.

Again, see the Noble Verses and link above.

Comedy Talk:

It depends on the words and the talk.  If it's satire kind of talk that is not ill, and it reflects the bad things about a current situation, then it is ok.  If it's harmful and/or trash talk and jokes on people, or cheap words that have no value, or words of blasphemy against Allah Almighty and Islam, then it is forbidden:

[031:006]  But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales لهو الحديث, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of God and throw ridicule (on the Path) ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم: for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.

[031:007]  When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty.

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to joke sometimes:

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: "The Prophet used to invoke Allah, saying, "Allahumma ighfirli khati'ati wa jahli wa israfi fi amri, wa ma anta a-'lamu bihi minni. Allahumma ighfirli hazali هزلي wa jiddi wa khata'i wa amdi, wa kullu dhalika 'indi"

WHICH READS IN ENGLISH AS:

"O Allah! Forgive my mistakes and my ignorance and my exceeding the limit (boundaries) of righteousness in my deeds; and forgive whatever You know better than I. O Allah! Forgive the wrong I have done jokingly هزلي or seriously, and forgive my accidental and intentional errors, all that is present in me."  (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 75, Number 408))

The Prophet used the word HAZAL (satire, comic). That's what satire today means in Arabic:

https://translate.google.com/#ar/en/%D9%87%D8%B2%D9%84%D9%8A

Yet, Allah Almighty said this about the Glorious Quran:

‏86:14 وماهو بالهزل

[086:014] And it (the Quran) is not a vain talk هزل.

No one is perfect:

No flesh and blood was ever infallible, perfect or sinless.  Visit also this link to see how Jesus coveted the world for 40 days and 40 nights, and was turned into King Kong by satan [1] when he made him climb the fortress-like temple to jump and commit suicide.  Yet, the Bible considers coveting to be a sin.

Allah Almighty's Heaven is so miraculous that evil will not be allowed to be heard by others in it.  Here on earth, an evil person can speak any evil he/she wants, and it would be heard.  In Heaven, it won't be heard.  Heaven is beyond you and me to explain here.

Allah Almighty Said that the Believers will not hear any nonsense in Heaven.  Then, we will most definitely and most certainly not hear any nonsense in Heaven.  Heaven is Miraculous.  I've had similar thoughts about how our free human-will will be in Heaven?  Can we ever upset GOD Almighty?  Can we ever have evil thoughts in Heaven?  Can we curse in Heaven?

My simple answer to all of this is that in Allah Almighty's DIVINE and MIRACULOUS Realm, everything the Almighty wants happens.  And our human logic here on earth doesn't work there.  So, while you're free in Heaven, you may not be able, BY YOUR OWN WILL EVEN, to do evil things.

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Again Allah Almighty Said we won't hear nonsense in Heaven.  Therefore, we won't hear nonsense in Heaven.  Are you questioning the Miracles and Abilities of Allah Almighty?  Did He no bring you out of nothing, and formed you into the big-sized person that you are from two mingled sperms that were billions of times smaller than what you are now?

I can only give you the facts.  But the HOWs are left to Allah Almighty.  Our history here on earth will not be spoken in Heaven.  I don't think this will be the case at all.  Our knowledge after resurrection will be based on the BOOKS OF DEEDS that we will receive.  This is where people either get punished for evil things or be forgiven.  And this is where they will see every atom of Deed they've done:

Noble Verses 99:7-8 "Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!  And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it."

But after Judgment, I doubt that those details will be available in the New Heaven, or the New Doom of Hell for the infidels.  To further support this, there are evil deeds that Allah Almighty will SUBSTITUTE WITH GOOD DEEDS:

[025:070] Except those who repent, believe and perform righteous acts. For such ones Allah will exchange their bad deeds with good ones. And Allah is the most Forgiving, the most Merciful!

[027:011] "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

So everything after we enter Heaven or Hell will be finished and will be long gone.  We will not dwell in its history and drama.  The scores will be settled and it will all be finished.  For more details, please visit:

www.answering-christianity.com/islam.htm

I hope this helps.  And Allah Almighty Alone knows best.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Ok thanks so you said we won't talk about history but according to islam we will Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning.

A speaker of them will say: ‘Verily, I had a companion (in the world),

Who used to say: ‘Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death)?

‘(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?’

(The man) said: ‘Will you look down?’

So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.

He said: ‘By Allah! You have nearly ruined me.

‘Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell).’

(Allah informs about that true believer that he said): ‘Are we then not to die (any more)?

‘Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise).’

Truly, this is the supreme success!

For the like of this let the workers work”

[as-Saaffaat :50-61].

Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Here, Allah, may He be exalted, tells us about the people of Paradise: they will turn to one another and ask one another about their situation, how they were in the world and what they used to suffer there? This is an example of their meeting and conversing over their drinks, whilst they are sitting on thrones,

The Noble Verses that you mentioned are talking about scenarios during the Judgment in the Day of Judgment.  But the entire record of our lives here on earth, there is no evidence that it will be available in Heaven after all the scores are settled.  And the Noble Verses that you mention also prove that there is no nonsense talk in Heaven.

Osama Abdallah
