Question regarding abrogation.
« on: December 11, 2016, 02:43:58 PM »
Assalamu Alaykum dear brothers and sisters.
I had a question regarding abrogation which kinda' got me thinking.

Shaykh Muhammad ‘Abd al-‘Azeem az-Zarqaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said:"...
1. Abrogation of both the ruling and the verses.
...
2. Abrogation of the ruling but not the verses.
...
3. Abrogation of the verses but not the ruling
..."

So we can see that each occasion of abrogation is regarding a law, or ruling, but is there a possibility of a mere verse, that does not contain a law, ruling or commandment to be abrogated? Or does abrogation occur only about laws, rulings etc.?
Please, if possible, back your opinions with hadith and opinions of scholars.
Have a great day and as always, Assalamu Alaykum!

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother,

Everything regarding the abrogation lie on Islam and also abrogation in the Bible is found at:

www.answering-christianity.com/abrogation.htm

Feel free to post all of your questions and concerns, akhi.  The conjecture that Muslims so ridiculously do regarding this topic is not acceptable.  They themselves can't even agree on the bogus claims that they utter.  Some say the Noble Verses that were abrogated were in the 10s.  Others say in the 100s.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah
