Debating The Rationalizer
« on: November 15, 2016, 08:43:42 AM »
Brother Osama,

In 2014, you, challenged The rationalizer  to debate you about the scientific miracles, and now he informed me that he will do so.
Here is his comment.
"So. Rather than discussing a lengthy (and poorly organised) article how about I talk to this friend of yours? My conditions though are simple.
1) We address one point at a time. If he wishes to discuss a specific definition of a word in a specific dictionary then we discuss that one before moving on.
2) We do this on a platform that neither of us have any influence over, and where other people will not interrupt.  has a one-on-one forum where we could do this, and neither of us have any influence over the people who operate the website.

Under those terms I will accept your friend's request to discuss cosmology in the Quran."

He doesn't want to debate on this site neither does he want to inform you personally (whether by mail or not) so i'm here to inform you brother Osama.

Peace.

As-salamo Alaikum,

When I checked the website you provided in your article below, I found it disgusting. Those people enjoy mocking Quran because they are Satan and their goal is only to damage Islam and mislead others. I don’t recommend dealing with them. I wrote one article of how to call non-Muslims into Islam
http://www.answering-christianity.com/blog/index.php/topic,2383.0.html I want also to add one more verse:

(6:111) Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in Allah's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth).

I also replied to an article for those who think that hell fire may not be eternal and it may end at one point
http://www.answering-christianity.com/blog/index.php/topic,1492.0.html and explained the reasons of why Allah wants to punish them in hell fire for eternal. I want also to add two more verses to prove further that hell fire is indeed for eternal (no end):

(6:27-28) If thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not deny the revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers! Nay, but that hath become clear unto them which before they used to hide. And if they were sent back they would return unto that which they are forbidden. Lo! they are liars.

Please note that I am only telling you of what I understood from Quran. If you know anything that I forgot to mention, please remind me.

With peace and respect,

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

Thank you akhi Omar for informing us about The rationalizer's acceptance.  Jazaka Allah Khayr, akhi.  Since he is popular on youtube, and how about doing this as a formal debate?  I am not into written debates.  I've never done them and I am not interested.  But we can do an actual verbal debate at Paltalk or any platform he chooses, and he can be the Admin of the room too if he wants.  I have a room myself on paltalk that I never use, but we can certainly use it if he wishes.

I am available on the weekends and in the evenings.  I'll accept whatever format he chooses that is fair to both of us.  If he wants to do it a few minutes each back and forth discussing one point at a time, or if he wants to have a fixed time for opening statements, and fixed time for rebuttals, then I have no issue with that either.

Thank you dear brother Omar.

@ brother Fadi, don't worry, dear brother.  I will insha'Allah thoroughly demonstrate that Islam is the Truth.  I ask Allah Almighty to lead The rationalizer to Islam.  Ameen.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Wa Alaykom As-salam,

My argument is why you would waste your efforts with those who Allah described them as:

(2:146) Those unto whom We gave the Scripture recognise (this revelation) as they recognise their sons. But lo! a party of them knowingly conceal the truth.

Anyways, may Allah support you when you debate with him, and may Allah guide him to Islam.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,

The Noble Verse that you quoted is speaking about the Arab Jews and Christians, who heard the Arabic Glorious Quran and became familiar with It, and still rejected it, while the Arabs were flocking by the thousands to embrace Islam because the Divine Spirit of the Holy Quran captured them.

As to debating, Allah Almighty Said:

"Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them (DEBATE THEM) in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance."  (The Noble Quran, 16:125)

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

The Rationalizer just replied with this.

" I'd do a text exchange simply because it will give me time to check references etc provided in evidence, this can't really be done thoroughly in a real-time exchange...Please let Osama know that  is a one-on-one forum so nobody will be allowed to interrupt. Just post a subject in there "{His name} Vs {My name} - {Subject}"

Also brother Osama, do you mind sending me the link when you create the subject? So that the rationalizer can find it.

The Rationalizer did create an account on this blog, and did issue a challenge in the past that he backed away from:

www.answering-christianity.com/blog/index.php/topic,1175.msg4094.html#msg4094

I am most definitely willing to debate him anywhere and in any platform.  I will most likely start this weekend, insha'Allah.  But it is important for all to see that he did back away from debating before.

I will certainly let you and everyone know when I create my post there, dear brother Omar, insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Wa alaykom as-salam,

Jazak Allah khair brother Osama. I am well aware of this verse and I always encourage Muslims to become friends with non-Muslims to tell them about Islam and also to advertise in public media about Islam.

When I suggested not to waste your time in debating certain groups, I didn’t mean every non-Muslim, I meant those who have PhD in Islamic studies and don’t believe in Islam and work hard to misinterpret Quran to mislead Muslims and non-Muslims. When I checked the two websites that were provided by Brother Omar  I made a conclusion that those people are already read your website and many other Islamic websites word by word, and they know Islam as they know their sons, but they are only playing!!! Thus I decided to remind all of us that Allah told us to turn away from those who mock Quran.

(6:68) When you see people mocking Our revelations, turn away from them so that they may change the subject. If Satan causes you to forget this, do not sit with the unjust people when you remember.

(29:46) And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

As I said in my previous respond “put your trust in Allah and go ahead and debate with them”.

May Allah accept your good deeds and support you,

As'salamu Alaikum beloved brothers in Islam,

Done, dear brothers Fadi and Sama.  I have deleted the references to the doomed-to-Hell infidels' links, and I will not go to their sites, since it was made clear from the links that were provided (that I have removed above) that they're quite familiar with our materials here on this website.  No need to waste time with them and give them popularity.

Thank you dear brother Omar for your efforts.  Please tell The Rationalizer to come here and put his material to the test if he is confident.  Doesn't have to be a formal debate.  It can be specific points to thoroughly analyze and discuss as we always do here.  If his arguments are valid, then they'll stand strong.  Otherwise, they'll be soundly and thoroughly refuted.  If he is truthful, then he should seek help rather than being stubborn and tricky.  And we are all here insha'Allah to help him.

Jazakum Allah Khayr, my dear brothers.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Ok he just explained his point, he wanted a neutral site with a one on one forum and he gave this site as an example (which was a terrible example of a neutral site in my opinion).
