As’salamo alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

First of all, the reason for calling to Islam should be based on a win-win solution. We want to win the blessings of Allah, and the person we are inviting into Islam should feel that he/she is welcomed to ask any questions they have in their minds regardless of anything.

Second, we must follow Quran and the way of Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ):

1.   Never insult or confront non-Muslims i.e. don't fire back into those who criticize Islam by criticizing their religion. They do this on purpose to stir Muslims and damage Islam.

(6:108) And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge…

2.   When non-Muslims insult Muslims, we should say word of peace only. We are not allowed to insult them.

(28:55) And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, “For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant.”

3.   We also should remember that Allah ordered us to avoid those who mock Quran.

(6:68) When you see people mocking Our revelations, turn away from them so that they may change the subject. If Satan causes you to forget this, do not sit with the unjust people when you remember.

4.   We must use Quran alone for reference.

(50:45)... So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning.

5.   Please follow the way of Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ). Always inform them good news and if you become angry, remember to remain silent.

•   Anas reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them). “يسروا ولا تعسروا وبشروا ولا تنفروا”

•   Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Teach and make things easy and not difficult. When one of you is angry, he should be silent.”
“عَلِّمُوا وَيَسِّرُوا وَلاَ تُعَسِّرُوا، وَإِذَا غَضِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْكُتْ‏"

6.   If you choose to use other references i.e.;
•   Deuteronomy (18:18) I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

Then, please don’t let them feel that you are confronting them. Otherwise, they will immediately tell you either “Jesus” or “the Prophet didn’t come yet”. Instead, show them that you are enquiring about it. You can say: I am unable to understand of why God told Moses that He will put His words in the mouth of the new Prophet. God already gave His words to Moses “Law”. Why God didn’t tell Moses that “I will send another Prophet to teach the Law that I already gave it to you”? Well, does this mean that God forgot to tell Moses specific things, or made errors and He wants to correct them. Of course not, this is impossible. God doesn’t forget nor makes errors. Therefore, I am guessing that God knew that mankind will alter His Law and want to send another Prophet to correct it.

Well, they may say its “The Bible, New Testimony”. You can tell them, but according to the Bible, Jesus said that he came to fulfill the Law of Moses.
•   Matt (5:17) Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Then, you can say, does this mean that Jesus wants to fulfill a corrupted Law. It doesn’t make sense. So, it seems to me that the Bible is also altered; and so on.

I am sure that you will not be able to convince them except Allah wills. So, I prefer to use only Quran as a reference.

If anyone has a better suggestion, please feel free to share it with us. May Allah guide all of us to the straight path.

Jazakom Allah Khair
