Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 456:
Narrated Abdullah:
Regarding the Verse: “Indeed he (Muhammad) did see. Of the Signs of his Lord, The Greatest!” (53.18) That the Prophet had seen a green carpet spread all over the horizon of the sky.

The Glorious Quran is very clear about the earth is:
1- Spherical.
2- Suspended in Space.
3- Rotating around itself. (emphasis on dahaha and its derivatives)
4- Is traveling in Space.

The possible Green Carpet:The Hadith in question is not in contradiction with Science. The aurora lights from the atmosphere's edge in space do many times look green:
