I don't mind al-Haafiz ibn Hajar, John Doe or Perico el de los Palotes opinion about this hadeeth, and the hadeeth does not state in how many steps it decreased, nor if it did it gradually or suddenly in two or three generations.

What part of "People kept growing smaller until now" you don't understand?

“And (also) ‘Aad and Thamood, and the Dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations in between”

[al-Furqaan 25:38 – interpretation of the meaning]

I'm not here to convince you to change your so-called opinion based on your interpretation, stop quoting me.

As'salamu Alaikum Everyone,

Allah Almighty intended to put Adam, peace be upon him, and all of the human race that will come from him on earth:

"Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."  (The Noble Quran, 2:30)"

Please visit this article:

www.answering-christianity.com/adam.htm (Was Adam created on earth or in Heaven?)

We know the following proven scientific facts:

1-  Earth used to be 10% of what its current size is.

2-  The smaller the planet, the lesser its gravity, and the taller the creatures on it will be.  Even Astronauts who spent long time living in space gain height, because the gravity up there in the edge of space is lesser than what it is down here on earth.  I've seen this from NASA on TV before.  You an also visit:

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=astronauts+gain+height

3-  Life as we know it and live it here on earth (mammals, rivers, plants, seas, atmosphere, etc...) had existed for 3.6 billion years!  The oldest records we know about man are 10 to 20 THOUSAND years old only.  So there were many other ADAMS and their lines that existed here on earth.

Note:  I am not saying that Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, came 20 thousand years ago.  He could be the absolute first MANKIND ever put foot on earth, 3.6 billion years ago.  Or there could've been other human-lines before him.  Only Allah Almighty Alone Knows.  Certainly, the Angels were concerned about creating humans here on earth as the Noble Verse above says.

You see earth is 4.6 billion years old.  It took earth to cool down to a point where mammals can exist on it 800 million years.  This puts life as we know it on earth for approximately 3.8 billion years.  And again, earth used to be only 10% in size to what it is now.

4-  We know that LARGE BODIES (ex: dinosaurs) existed on earth up to even our modern history (up to only a few million years ago).  So why should it surprise anyone that people that were as tall as 90 feet tall existed on earth in the past billions of years?

For ample more details and scientific proofs, please visit:

http://www.answering-christianity.com/adam_90_feet_tall.htm

I hope this helps, Insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Angels were concerned because the earth was already inhabited by beings that still live parallel to us.

He could be the absolute first MANKIND ever put foot on earth, 3.6 billion years ago.

Carbon-14 (C-14) dating of multiple samples of bone from 8 dinosaurs found in Texas, Alaska, Colorado, and Montana revealed that they are only 22,000 to 39,000 years old.
http://newgeology.us/presentation48.html
Jack Horner was offered a $23k grant to C14 date soft tissue bones of dinosaurs , but declined. He agreed the money was more than enough but wouldn’t because it would give evidence to creationists. For the Darwinian story to hold, one has to fortuitously interleave highly fotuitous catastrophes followed by long eras of stasis and do this for each of the layers.

I could be buried tomorrow in 65 million year-old volcanic ash, it doesn’t mean my bones are 65 million years old.

If ALLAH(SWT) had mentioned in Quran that life on earth is 3.6 billion years old then that means Islam is supporting a view of recording of geological history via a process of slow, steady change, which is represented by a school of thought known as uniformitarianism (founded by Lyell). Because we simply don't have any fossil record of 90-feet giants, ultimately muslims would be inclined to agree with the evolution theory.

Or if Quran had said something similar like Bible that earth is 6000 years old, we would have been experiencing mass conversion of muslims to atheism or any other faith. Yes, it shouldn't surprise anyone that people that were as tall as 90 feet tall existed but certainly not 3.6 billion years ago.

See this:
http://www.infowars.com/massive-dinosaur-soft-tissue-discovery-in-china-includes-skin-and-feathers/
http://www.theguardian.com/science/2015/jun/09/75-million-year-old-dinosaur-blood-and-collagen-discovered-in-fossil-fragments

Red blood cells, soft tissue, collagen. These soft tissues shouldn’t be around for more than 125,000 years let alone 68 million years. So brother it's absolutely pointless to say that Prophet Adam lived on earth 3.6 billion years ago , there is a reason why Islam is silent on this subject.

Last but not least, dinosaurs were not tall because of low gravity. Modern scientific community doesn't support the notion that dinosaurs were so big because of ancient(weaker) gravity. Any anti-islamic website can refute this by simply sharing any peer reviewed article or any article, such as:

http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com/2013/02/25/dinosaur-reproduction-not-ancient-gravity-made-sauropods-super-sized/

Back to the topic. Scientists should have documented one fundamental kind of creature or basic life form morphing into a different fundamental form, like a fish morphing into an amphibian. Or one experiment should show that lifeless chemicals coalesce on their own to form living cells. No such experiments exist.

Since particles-to-people evolution is a mere story—one with no scientific backing(Conclusions derived from repeatable experiments)—  certainly it contradicts Islam.

Assalamu alaikum dear brothers,

Quote
Because we simply don't have any fossil record of 90-feet giants,

Many mythologies say that there were Titans or Giants before us. Could that be connected to this? Because it is possible that all mythologies are altered (or super altered!) truth, as prophets and scriptures were sent to every nation.

I also heard that Jinns (perhaps they are the 'titans' in mythologies :P) used to dominate the earth before humans, (as they were also created to worship Allah). Perhaps that's the reason the angels were concerned about creating humans.
