The Prophet Daniel Predicted the Muslim Nation!
« on: March 09, 2015, 11:56:02 AM »
in Daniel 2, The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar saw a dream while he was asleep, the next day he hardly remembers the dream, so he orders his magicians to tell him of his dream then interpret it, Of course this troubled the magicians greatly because it was completely impossible to tell Nebuchadnezzar what he had dreamed as well as the interpretation of it without knowing the dream itself.

here the Prophet Daniel appears and says ( according to the Bible ) : " The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days " (  Daniel 2:27 )

Daniel continues:

" You were looking, O king, and lo! there was a great statue. This statue was huge, its brilliance extraordinary; it was standing before you, and its appearance was frightening, The head of that statue was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its middle and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. As you looked on, a stone was cut out, not by human hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and broke them in pieces, Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, were all broken in pieces and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth " ( Daniel 2: 31-35 )

then he begins to interpret the Dream:

" you are the head of gold, After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours, and yet a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over the whole earth, And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron; just as iron crushes and smashes everything, it shall crush and shatter all these, As you saw the feet and toes partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom; but some of the strength of iron shall be in it, as you saw the iron mixed with the clay, As the toes of the feet were part iron and part clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle, As you saw the iron mixed with clay, so will they mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay, And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall this kingdom be left to another people. It shall crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand for ever, just as you saw that a stone was cut from the mountain not by hands, and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The great God has informed the king what shall be hereafter. The dream is certain, and its interpretation trustworthy " ( Daniel 2:28-45 )

1- The Babylonian Empire

As we can see, each part of this statue the king saw in his dream represents an actual kingdom. The first one, the head of gold, is in fact his kingdom of Babylon which was in power from 606 BC to 539 BC .

2- The Medo-Persian Empire

" After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours "

after a reign of 67 years, the Babylonian Empire was overthrown by the kingdom of the Medes and the Persians By Cyrus the Great, The Medo-Persian monarchy lasted 208 years, from 539 BC to 331 BC, the prophet Daniel, according to the Bible, witnessed the overthrow of Babylon in his lifetime. Represented by the chest and arms of silver, the Medo-Persian kingdom was indeed not as rich and beautiful as Babylon, however, its army was much more powerful as historic fact confirms.

3- The Greek Macedonian Empire

" and yet a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over the whole land "

Historic record confirms that in 331 BC the Greek armies destroyed the last Medo-Persian king during the Battle of Arbela, The Greeks were Victorious under the leadership king Alexander the Great, The Greek Empire was then established. It’s rule actually covered far more territories than the two previous kingdoms. The reign of the Greek Empire of Alexander lasted 163 years, from 331 BC to 168 BC.

4- The Roman Empire

" And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron; just as iron crushes and smashes everything,* it shall crush and shatter all these "

In 168 BC , it was the Roman Empire’s turn to start it's conquest of the World, it reached it's peak in the 2nd Century AD, iron perfectly symbolizes this kingdom, its military strength and discipline, its domination over many conquered nations, its laws imposed on all people far and wide, Every aspect of this nation was like the strength and endurance of iron, The Roman Empire ruled over Vast parts of the World, more than any Empire before it.

We're not Finished with the Roman Empire yet, Daniel Continues:

" As you saw the feet and toes partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom "

this completely matches with the Roman Empire, by the end of the 4th Century AD, The Roman Empire broke into two, The Western Roman Empire ruled from Ravenna, While the Eastern Roman Empire Ruled from Constantinople, Both these Roman Empires continued to be the Strongest Powers in the World.

5- The Muslim Nation

" And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall this kingdom be left to another people. It shall crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand for ever, just as you saw that a stone was cut from the mountain not by hands, and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The great God has informed the king what shall be hereafter. The dream is certain, and its interpretation trustworthy "

Just After the Death of Prophet Muhammad - Peace be Upon Him - The Islamic Nation went out of Arabia and Completely Destroyed The Two World Powers at that Time, The Romans and the Sassinids, the World was overwhelmed at the Speed of the Islamic Conquest, in just a few decades, the Muslims Conqured the Middle East, North Africa, Going as far as China in the East and France in the West, and so the Prophecy of Daniel was fulfilled, it was at the hands of the Muslim Nation that the Last Roman City, Constantinople, was Conquered.

" Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce its fruit " ( Matthew 21:43 )

" Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made rulers those before them, and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange " ( The Qur'an 24:55 )

Assalamun Alaikum dear brother

Even the Prophet Daniel himself saw a vision in Daniel 7 about 4 beasts.  The fourth beast is the most powerful and cruel one. Then it is killed by someone called the Son of Man which is none other than our beloved Prophet Muhammad.

http://www.discoveringislam.org/kildani_chapter_16.htm

Even prophet David sees a similar vision. He sees Prophet Muhammad sitting at the right hand side of God and calls Prophet Muhammad "My Lord".

The Bible has so many prophecies about our beloved Prophet Muhammad but the Christians change them and make those verses look like as if they refer to Jesus Christ (PBUH)

Assalamun Alaikum dear brothers

Can someone please help me Daniel 9 verse 24-27. "Discovering Islam" says that it predicts the birth date of Prophet Muhammad and the time when the Muslim nation conquers Jerusalem.

Daniel 9:24-27 (King James version)

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Discovering Islam's intepretation

Verse 24: Year of birth of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم

We have discovered that the first part of Daniel's prophecy (verse 24) prophesises the year of birth of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.

The desolation of the Jews due to Jews-Roman war lasted from 66 AD until 73 AD. Each "week" (also translated as "seven") may refer to either a period of 7 years or alternatively as one year. In this verse, we believe a "week" refers to 7 years. Based on this prophecy, we can calculate the date of birth of the "Anointed One" or "the Most Holy" as follows: 73 + (70 x 7) + 7= 570 AD which is the year of birth of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Furthermore, verse 24 says "to seal up the vision and prophecy". This is clear reference to Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم who has been designated in the Quran as the Seal of the Prophets, meaning he is the final prophet and he seals prophecy.

Note that the  the Anointed One means the Chosen One. One of Prophet Mohammad's صلى الله عليه وسلم titles is Al-Mustapha which means the Chosen One.

The part which i didn't understand is the bolded 7. The Jew and Romans had a war which lasted from 66 AD to 73 AD. So "70 Weeks" or "490 years" are decreed from 73 AD. I do not understand why they put an additional 7(bolded) in the equation.

Note: The 7 is not bolded in their (Discovering Islam) website. I bolded it to show which 7 i was talking about. The link is given to their site for further detail.

As-Salam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraketuh,

If you are interested in Daniel's prophecies about „seventy weeks”, then you should read the article linked below written by Rabbi Ben Abrahamson who reveals many exciting historical info about Jewish past and their waiting for the final „Messiah”, i.e. final prophet:

Link: http://www.eretzyisroel.org/~jkatz/The%20Persian%20conquest%20of%20Jerusalem%20in%20614CE%20compared%20with%20Islamic%20conquest%20of%20638CE.pdf

You can read it from the beginning or skip to p. 20, and read the text under the title „Signs of the Coming of the Prophet”, as you wish, but I would prefer to read the whole article, so to that all can be clear to you. If you want to pose some question concerning this particular issue, you can contact Rabbi Ben Abrahamson in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ben613

I apologize for the delay in responding to your message, since you've asked me in a private box. Unfortunately, I did not make any research in Daniel's "seventy weeks", but the article of Ben Abrahamson is excellent on this topic, and for that reason I'am sharing it with you here. A much more spectacular prophecy however, relating to the birth date of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), I would consider that one described in an apocryphal book called "The Assumption of Mose" or "The Testament of Moses". See Appendix IV (p. 237) from the book of Abdul' Sattar al'Ghauri linked below:

Link: http://www.muslim-library.com/dl/books/English_Muhammad_Foretold_in_the_Bible_by_Name.pdf

This is an amazing prophecy! Abdul Sattar have done a nice research, and I have found some important additional pieces of info, e.g. a narration from Israiliyyat in which Ka'b al-Ahbar affirms that Allah revealed to Moses (pbuh) in the Torah the date of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) coming, and that he informed his community about his appearance. According to the prophecy found in "The Assumption of Moses", Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) would come to the world exactly 1750 years after the death of Moses (pbuh), and this was spoken by Moses (pbuh) to Joshua, son of Nun!

Take care, and salam
Ahmed (Poland, Warsaw)
