Assalam  alykam  can someone please  give me the correct context of this hadith where it says

Embrace Islam  and your property and life will be safe(Muslim)


it sounds like being forced to convert or die  I am sure there is a deeper explamation. Because the Quran says there is no comlpulsion in religion

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother,

During the hostile days with the pagans where many battles happened against those who opposed Islam and wanted to remain pagans, those who lost to the Muslims, their wealths and their women and children went to the Muslims.  The wealth to strengthen the State of Islam, and their women and children to have them embrace Islam.  So the Hadith is said in this historical context.

If your question is about the Hadiths that are about the topic of this thread, then you need not to look further than the Hadiths and the Noble Verses that deal with the spoils of wars, captives, and wealth distribution after the battles.  Forced conversion is not allowed in Islam.  The Glorious Quran is crystal clear about this.  This is why it's important to look at historical context when dealing with Hadiths.

I am not talking about this Hadith ( or this thread ) Brother. What i asked you is that, is there any site in which i can see background of a Hadith which i want? For Example there is a Hadith that Umar said that i will persecute Christians and Jews until the whole Arabia is Muslim and there are some more hadiths which i want to look with the Background.
