We have no control?
« on: October 06, 2014, 11:18:38 AM »
This Question is asked by a non-muslim.
Quote
Hudhaifa b. Usaid reported directly from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) that lie said: When the drop of (semen) remains in the womb for forty or fifty (days) or forty nights, the angel comes and says: My Lord, will he be good or evil? And both these things would be written. Then the angel says: My Lord, would he be male or female? And both these things are written. And his deeds and actions, his death, his livelihood; these are also recorded. Then his document of destiny is rolled and there is no, addition to and subtraction from it.

[Muslim- Book 33:6392]
Sooooo... It has already been predetermined whether you will be good or evil and what kind of actions you will commit in your life. Sounds like an iron-clad document to me. According to this view, we really have no control over our lives and we cannot make any real choices- for how can we make choices when everything has already been predetermined? This then begs the question: is Allah really Just?

How can He be Just and throw people in Hell, when He was the one who decided what his Creation would do in the first place?! It's like programming a robot: if you program it to kill, maim, and attack: how can you punish it for doing exactly what it was programmed to do?!

Honestly, I can't see ANY logic in this. IS THERE ANYBODY who is willing to talk straight and not resort to doing mental gymnastics to explain this?

So can anyone answer this?

[[How can He be Just and throw people in Hell, when He was the one who decided what his Creation would do in the first place?!]]

Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves. (10:44)

what shall happen in the future have been prerecorded due to human's own action anyways, its just a matter of human to carry out those actions when they come into existent on earth.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Brother Uzair

The subject u r dealing is Predestiny or Al-Qadr and it is one of the
six articles of faith on which Iman is based. Everything that is going to be happened is
mentioned in Lawh al-Mahfuz or ummul Kitab - the Divine book.Quran in 13: 39 says that only Allah can change
Al Qadr(Ur destiny) in Lawh al Mahfuz.

Regarding Predestiny let me give u an example to make u understand it better
Suppose there is a big trench and it is covered with grass and u r going towards it.
A man passes by earlier warns u not to go there or u will fall in it.
Inspite of this u ignore him and walk towards it fall inside the trench and later on blame the man for ur fall & not stopping u.

Now tell me is it justified to blame the man.
In the similar manner ALLAH has sent the messengers as warners to mankind & not as a dictator or enforcer.

I hope u understood it now.

Finally Allah knows the best
