Assalamualaikum,
I have a question in regards to Quran verse 10:94. Why does it tell Muhammad pbuh to read past scriptures even though the Bible is corrupted? Does the verse mean to say "read the remnants of the truth from the Bible"? Also does يحرفون الكلم من بعد مواضعه refer to physical and textual corruption of the Bible or tongue distortion and just hiding the truth? What does "right places" in Surah Maidah mean? Does it refer to the priests corrupting the text in the church (right places)? Does "their (right) places" (مواضعه) refer to the church? I would like to know the answers please.

Assalamualaikum

Wa alaikum assalam

In 10:94, It's a conditional hypothetical statement. However prophet Muhammad neither doubted nor asked. Rather, he believed:

Surah 2:285

"The apostle believed in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers; they all believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His apostles; We make no difference between any of His apostles; and they say: We hear and obey, our Lord! Thy forgiveness (do we crave), and to Thee is the eventual course."

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

Brother Holy Spirit, if you're asking specifically about this part فسأل الذين يقرؤون الكتاب  (ask those who read/recite the Book) in Noble Verse 10:94, and that they had a Book before the Quran, and therefore which Book is that?  My answer is coming up, insha'Allah....

Surat Al-Bayyinah and others Surahs in the Glorious Quran seem to give a clear answer on this.  I am putting together a thorough answer on this.

In a nutshell or capsule, the Quran considers the Quran:

1-  A set of purified Scrolls that is free and clear from all corruption.
2-  Crooked-free or free from all crookedness.

And the Quran considers the people of the Book's book:

1-  Marred with crookedness.
2-  Corrupt.
3-  Even contains fabricated portions written the people of the book.
4-  Does contain remnants of Truth in it.

The Divine Source:

All Books are from the Divine Source of AL-KITAB.  However, some were permanently lost like Ishmael's, Noah's and others' books.  And some got corrupt.  But the Quran is the Ultimate, the Muhaymin, and the PURIFIED and the ONE FREE from all crookedness.  I find this interesting correlation between the Bible and the Quran:

‏20:52 قال علمها عند ربي في كتاب لايضل ربي ولاينسى

The Bible also in Daniel calls "Book of Truth" contains the Truth of GOD:

Daniel 10
18 Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength.
19 “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.”

When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”

20 So he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come;
21 but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince.

There is no Bible.  It is a man-made lie.  There is however, the Book of Truth, similar to the AL-KITAB that the Quran also speaks about.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Still have a question. What does مَوَاضِعِه [their (right) places] refer to? Does the “place” refer to the church and synagogue? Does it mean that priests and rabbis changed the words of the Law inside their churches and synagogues? Also I know that the current gospels of John,Luke,Mark, and Matthew are not the Injeel because Allah sent the Injeel but the modern day gospels are about Christ’s preachings from the perspective of the disciples. Even the gospel of Barnabas cannot be the Injeel because it does not have God’s commands that he sent to Christ directly because the gospel is in Barnabas point of view. An example is that in the true Injeel it should have said things like “I (God) do not want you guys to do this or that” instead of a disciple’s point of view like “Christ said to me and the other disciples to not do this or that.” So can you answering my question in the beginning and say if I’m wrong about the Injeel theory?
(BTW I say Christ instead of Jesus because in one of your articles you said that Jesus is not the real name and saying Jesus is cursing Christ.)

O Messenger, do not grieve for those who rush into disbelief - those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to other people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] places [i.e., usages], saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." And he for whom Allāh intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allāh. Those are the ones for whom Allāh does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.

Tafseer Aljalalayn:

O Messenger, let them not grieve you, the actions of, those who vie with one another in disbelief, falling headlong into it, in other words, they [who] manifest it at every opportunity, of (min here is explicative) such as say with their mouths, with their tongues (bi-alsinatihim is semantically connected to qālū, ‘[such] as say’), ‘We believe’ but their hearts do not believe, and these are the hypocrites; and from among those of Jewry, there is a folk, who listen to calumny, fabricated by their rabbis, listening acceptingly, listening to, you, on behalf of some, other folk, from among the Jews, who have not come to you:

these were the inhabitants of Khaybar, among whom two married persons committed adultery, but whom they did not want to stone. And so they dispatched [men from] Qurayza to ask the Prophet (s) about the ruling concerning the two; perverting words, that are in the Torah, such as the ‘stoning’ verse, from their contexts, [the contexts] in which God had placed them, that is to say, substituting them, saying, to the ones they dispatched: ‘If you are given this, distorted ruling, that is, flogging, which Muhammad (s) has pronounced for you as a ruling, then take it, accept it; but if you are not given it, and he pronounces some other ruling for you, then beware!’, of accepting it! Whomever God desires to try, to lead astray, you cannot avail him anything against God, by preventing such [a trial]. Those are they whose hearts God did not desire to purify, of unbelief, for had He desired it, you would have [been able to do something for them]; theirs shall be degradation in this world, humiliation, by being disgraced and subjected to the jizya, and in the Hereafter theirs shall be a great chastisement.

As'salamu Alaikum Everyone,

Here are two new articles that thoroughly go through the Noble Quran's Verses that prove the Bible is corrupt:
