1. Mental Illness

In October 1999, the Archives of General Psychiatry published two studies related to homosexuality and mental health. The first, “Sexual Orientation and Suicidality: A Co-twin Control Study in Adult Men” by Richard Herrel et al, reported that same-gender sexual orientation is significantly associated with each of the suicidality measures. The study found that men with same-sex partners were 2.4 times as likely as their co-twins to have thoughts about death, 4.4 times as likely to want to die, 4.1 times as likely to have suicidal ideation, 6.5 times as likely to have attempted suicide, and 5.1 times as likely to have any of the suicidal symptoms. After adjustment for substance abuse and depressive symptoms (other than suicidality), all of the suicidality measures remained significantly associated with same-gender sexual orientation except for wanting to die.

The second study, “Homosexuality and Mental Illness” by J. Michael Bailey, reported on a New Zealand study which followed 1007 individuals since birth. At the age of 21, the 28 subjects classified as gay, lesbian or bisexuals were significantly more likely to have had mental-health problems than the 979 classed as heterosexual.
The Archives of General Psychiatry also published in its January 2001 issue a study titled, “Same-Sex Sexual Behavior and Psychiatric Disorders: Findings from the Netherlands Mental Health Survey and Incidence Study (NEMESIS)” by Sandfort et al., which found that psychiatric disorders were more prevalent among homosexually active people compared with heterosexually active people. Homosexual men were 2.94 times as likely to have a 12-month prevalence of mood disorder and 2.61 times as likely to have a 12-month prevalence of anxiety disorder than heterosexual men. Homosexual women were 4.05 times as likely to have a 12-month prevalence of substance use disorders than heterosexual women. More homosexual than heterosexual persons had 2 or more disorders during their lifetimes.
It should be noted that Dutch society is a very gay-affirming and gay-friendly society, which may suggest that “society’s oppression” of homosexual people is not necessarily the cause of increased rates of mental illnesses among homosexuals as some people might suggest.
2. Kaposi Sarcoma
In an indirect fashion, anal intercourse is implicated in the development of Kaposi’s sarcoma, one of the diseases on the AIDS-indicator list of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). This is because nitrite inhalant recreational drugs, known commonly as “poppers”, have been popular in the gay community and are used to facilitate this practice through relaxation of the anal sphincter. Researchers at the National Institute on Drug Abuse have recognized that nitrite inhalant abuse is associated with Kaposi’s sarcoma, and HIV-negative gay men with a history of using poppers have developed this disease.
The International Journal of Dermatology explains why homosexuals’ behaviors place them at high risk for this disease, which affects the mucous membranes and the skin of its victims:
In this high risk group [the gay male population], the predominant portal of entry of free and cell-bound HIV as well as the brunt of associated cofactors and opportunistic infections can be traced to both ends of the gastrointestinal tract (mouth and anus) and also the genitalia, which happen to be common sites for KS lesions in addition to their lymphatic watersheds.
Kaposi’s sarcoma has taken a particularly tragic toll on HIV-infected homosexual men, sending them to an earlier grave than their IV-drug user counterparts. AIDS reports:
According to our data, homosexual men had a significantly higher risk of progression to AIDS and shorter survival compared with IDU [IV drug users] and other categories. In a multivariate analysis the increased risk was found to be independent of demographic and clinical characteristics but was accounted for by the higher probability of developing Kaposi’s sarcoma.
3. Hodgkin’s Disease
Homosexual men suffering from HIV/AIDS also suffer from other cancers and lymphomas. One study published in the Annuls of Medicine noted the connection between homosexual AIDS patients and Hodgkin’s disease. The study concluded, “An excess incidence of Hodgkin’s disease was found in HIV-infected homosexual men.” The Journal of Clinical Oncology published a study that further supports a connection between homosexual male AIDS patients and Hodgkin’s disease.
4. Anal Cancer
Homosexual males are also at elevated risk for anal cancer. A likely possibility is that chemicals in the lubricants used to facilitate anal intercourse are a factor associated with this disease. Researchers R.J. Ablin and R. Stein-Werblowsky describe sperm and seminal plasma as capable of promoting cancer, and suggest that this accounts for the increase in cancer among people practicing anal sex.
One article in the New England Journal of Medicine commented, “Our study lends strong support to the hypothesis that homosexual behavior in men increases the risk of anal cancer: 21 of the 57 men with anal cancer (37 percent) reported that they were homosexual or bisexual, in contrast to only one of 64 controls.” The Journal of the American Medical Association also published similar findings: “Epidemiological studies have shown that risk factors for anal cancer include homosexuality, history of receptive anal intercourse, presence of anal condylomata, and smoking.” And the International Journal of Cancer stated, “Being single and having practiced anal intercourse appears to be associated with anal cancer and case reports have suggested a recent increase in the number of cases of anal cancer.”
Another article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association stated that, “…studies indicate that immunosuppressed male homosexuals have a high prevalence of anal human papilomavirus infection and anal intra-epithelial neoplasia, and this population may be at significant risk for the development of anal cancer.”
Along the same lines, an article in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded: “Anal intercourse may predispose to anal cancer through the transmission of an infection, most probably infection with human papillomavirus.”
5. Impairment of Immune Response
Several researchers have concerned themselves with the immune dysfunction consequent to the direct entry of semen into the bloodstream by means of anal intercourse. Joseph Sonnabend has argued that repeated exposures to semen combined with various sexually transmitted disease pathogens result in impairment of immune response. Robert Root-Bernstein concluded that exposure to semen through anal intercourse can initiate lymphocytotoxic autoimmunity. Another researcher who recognizes the pathogenic effects of semen is Eleni Papadopulos-Eleopulos (Department of Medical Physics, Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Western Australia), author of “Looking Back on the Oxidative Stress Theory of AIDS” published in Continuum volume 5, number 5 – mid-winter 1999.
6. AIDS
The CDC reports in its June 2000 HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report that men who have sex with men (MSM) account for the majority of AIDS cases in the United States. . . . . . . . .

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) have been rising among gay and bisexual men, with increases in syphilis being seen across the country. In 2014, gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men accounted for 83% of primary and secondary syphilis cases where sex of sex partner was known in the United States. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men often get other STDs, including chlamydia and gonorrhea infections. HPV (Human papillomavirus), the most common STD in the United States, is also a concern for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men. Some types of HPV can cause genital and anal warts and some can lead to the development of anal and oral cancers. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men are 17 times more likely to get anal cancer than heterosexual men. Men who are HIV-positive are even more likely than those who do not have HIV to get anal cancer.

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 23, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – The recent report from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows an "alarming" rate of STDs among homosexuals.

The government report admits, "While anyone can become infected with an STD, young people and gay and bisexual men are at greatest risk."

In fact, syphilis infections among homosexual men have seen such a massive increase that the government report calls the gay syphilis statistics "troubling."

"Men account for more than 90 percent of all primary and secondary syphilis cases," the report states. "Men who have sex with men (MSM) account for 83 percent of male cases where the sex of the sex partner is known."

The official government report explains that it uses the acronym MSM, "men who have sex with men," because that phrase "indicates the behaviors that transmit infection."

"It's time for policymakers and pundits to acknowledge and deal with the elephant in the room: engaging in homosexual behavior can be very dangerous to one's health," Peter LaBarbera, founder of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), told LifeSiteNews.

The CDC says fully half of MSM who have syphilis are also infected with HIV. If not treated, syphilis causes visual impairment and stroke and increases the chance of catching or transmitting HIV.

"If such overwhelming evidence pointed to any aberrant behavior other than homosexuality as so extremely high-risk, there would be a full-scale government-corporate mobilization urging people not to practice that behavior – or even leveling sanctions against it," LaBarbera pointed out. "Yet homosexualism is celebrated, and promoted – even to young children.

"How tragic and ironic that politically correct politicians and cultural elites are aggressively promoting LGBT agendas, when it is the very living out of those immoral lifestyles that is linked to disease," LaBarbera concluded.

Syphilis rates are concentrated primarily in the gay community, with homosexual men constituting nearly 83 percent of the syphilis cases reported in 2014.

"The fact that 83% of new male syphilis cases are found in the tiny segment of the population (probably less than 4% of all males), who are men who have sex with men, should be setting off major alarm bells," Peter Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies for the Family Research Council, told LifeSiteNews.

"High rates of STDs among men who have sex with men are not a surprise, given the fact that many of them have large numbers of sex partners and engage in the particularly dangerous act of anal intercourse," Sprigg said.

"Unfortunately, the mainstream media appears to be ignoring this finding, because they cannot figure out a way to spin it without reflecting negatively on homosexual conduct itself," Sprigg commented.

Sprigg noted, "The sudden jump in syphilis rates in the last few years, however, demands an explanation. Mark Joseph Stern of Slate may have offered one with the theory that the effectiveness and increased use of PrEP medications for HIV may be having the unintended consequence of reducing condom use in this population, thus increasing their vulnerability to other STDs such as syphilis."

"PrEP," or "pre-exposure prophylaxis," refers to the use before sex of antibiotics and other medications that make the transmission of HIV less likely.

Sprigg concluded, "The latest data only reinforce what pro-family groups have been saying for decades – the only 'safe sex' is sex that is saved for a monogamous, sexually exclusive lifelong marriage."

The government explains the high rate of STDs among homosexuals by attributing it to "individual risk factors," including "higher numbers of lifetime sex partners" and "higher prevalence of STDs."

The government report additionally attributes high STD rates among homosexuals to "homophobia and stigma."

Gays often claim SAFE SEX will lower the possibility of STD.
can we refute it?

What is "safe sex" btw?

I think they use condoms which allow to lower possibility of sexual diseases, right brother Sama?

There are certain measures that lowers but does not eliminate the risk of STD.

Quote
For anyone, choosing to be sexually active means you are at risk for STDs. However, there are many things you can do to protect your health. You can learn about how STDs are spread and how you can reduce your risk of getting infected.

Get Vaccinated: Gay and bisexual men are at greater risk for hepatitis A and B, and human papillomavirus (HPV). For this reason, CDC recommends that you get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B. The HPV vaccine is also recommended for men up to age 26.

Be Safer: Getting tested regularly and getting vaccinated are both important. There are other things you can also do to reduce your risk for STDs:

Get to know someone before having sex with them. Talk honestly about STDs and get tested—before you have sex.
Use a condom correctly and use one every time you have sex.
Think twice about mixing alcohol and/or recreational drugs with sex. For example, when you’re drunk or high, you’re more likely to make decisions that put you at risk for an STD, such as having sex without using a condom. Limit your number of sex partners. You can lower your risk for STDs if you only have sex with one person who only has sex with you.

Homosexuality is associated with higher incidence of mental illness as stated above.

“Up to 1973 the Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) did include ego-syntonic (comfortable with orientation) homosexuality as a mental disorder. The reason it was dropped was not a change in scientific or medical thinking, but that homosexual activists besieged and disrupted psychiatric meetings and intensely harrassed and abused psychiatrists. For instance, psychiatrist Nelson Borelli was at the 1972 APA convention, and noted the following in the BRITISH MEDICAL JOURNAL: ‘I was there in San Francisco at the 1972 APA convention when the “Gay and Lesbian” activists forced the APA leadership to promise to drop ‘Homosexuality’ from the diagnostic manual or else there would be no APA Convention. Not only the scandal they were causing, but the activists had gained control of the infrastructure of the convention building. The APA kept the promise.”‘

Some absurdly argue that homosexual inclinations are inherited through one’s genetics. However ridiculous such a claim may be, even if accepted for the argument’s sake, it still does not justify the criminal act. Many scientists have argued a genetic basis for a disposition to commit crimes such as burglary, theft, and sexual abuse, yet the law rightly condemns and punishes these acts. Some scientists have claimed that it is programmed into men’s genetics to be unfaithful to their partners, yet society does not deem such behaviour morally acceptable.

Uhhhhh there's also the literal tearing of the butt hole from anal sex. This is specifically why is Muslim straight men shouldn't take part in anal sex either as it's forbidden as sodomy.
