question on the quran
« on: August 12, 2017, 11:46:55 AM »
assalamu alaikum brothers and sister in islam,

i had a question which was pointed at abrogation in the quran. I see many times that muslims say a verse is not in the quran anymore as it was abrogated. for example with this hadith:

sahih muslim 1050: We used to recite a surah which resembled in length and severity to (Surah) Bara'at. I have, however, forgotten it with the exception of this which I remember out of it:" If there were two valleys full of riches, for the son of Adam, he would long for a third valley, and nothing would fill the stomach of the son of Adam but dust." And we used so recite a surah which resembled one of the surahs of Musabbihat, and I have forgotten it, but remember (this much) out of it:" Oh people who believe, why do you say that which you do not practise" (lxi 2.) and" that is recorded in your necks as a witness (against you) and you would be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection" (xvii. 13).

so it is claimed this is not there anymore as it was not supposed to be part of the quran forever and was abrogated, same thing with the so called lost verses of stoning and breastfeeding.

so my question is, why didnt allah swt just leave these verses in the quran, doesnt he say he will preserve his quran, isnt removing verses which were once part of the quran changing in the quran,. and what is the purpose of removing these verses in the first place?

jazakallahu khairan to everyone

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother Karim,

The following links refute the lies about abrogation and Quran wasn't perfectly preserved:

seriously bro ?
now you are suggesting allah the creator of everything what to do and what not to do you are basically suggesting the sender what message he should have sent and what not allah knows better why he must have done this ?

dude allah has clearly said in the quran that he replaces verses with something good do your research on web on trusted islamic sites you will find refutation

There are no abrogations in the Glorious Quran.  This has been proven.  Even the "scholars" don't agree on which Verse "abrogates" which  verse.  And the number of verses that were "abrogated" vary from 20 something to 360 somthing.

Abrogation is a lie!  It doesn't exist in the Glorious Quran.  Muslim scholars have already proven this.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah
