so called problem with 46:25 and 29:38

Assalam alikum I was just wondering there is a problem I was just in verse 46:25 it says allah destroyed everything apart from ad houses and 29:38 it says that allah destroyed ad and it is apparent from there dwellings but that is the problem if you go to the land of ad you can't see there houses anymore there is nothing there they were completely destroyed and historically this was the same in the prophets muhammad peace be upon him time there was never anything there either you couldn't see there houses either in the prophet time there houses were completely destroyed as well in the prophet time there was nothing there in the prophets time in the land of ad except there land so how do we explain these verses because there houses have collapsed so nothing left of there houses so there was nothing left of them in the prophets time and that is the same now so how do we explain these verses jazzakkallah

But it says we can see there houses or that they are destroyed in 29:38 but we can't see any today so what does 29:38 mean is it being rhetoric meaning we destroyed them in it is know by that there is nothing left of there houses is that possible or not

And there are hadith in bukari where the prophet piece be upon him said don't enter the homes of thamud but those homes were built by the nabtions not thamud and they are tombs not houses and they are very small inside can't be mansions in mada'in saleh al hijr so is this hadith wrong symbolic literal and symbolic meaning the land of where they lived not the lose literal houses or literal but that would be wrong because that is the land of thamud because the well is there jazzakkallah
