I live in Saudi Arabia and this is alhamdulillah a nice place, i need your help regarding this saudi police logo with an eye in it, as you can see clearly an eye my question to you is is there any place in ISLAM about this eye?

Also i am trying to reach the COMMISION FOR THE PREVENTION OF VICE AND PROMOTION OF VIRTUE of Saudi Arabia commonly known as HAYYA or mutawwa's for this issue.

Pray for me to succeed in my effort to remove this logo because i have noticed this in MAKKAH MASJID AL HARAM on the uniforms of Saudi Police.

Welcome to the board akhi.  I ask Allah Almighty that you'll find all of your answers here, insha'Allah.

In regards to your concern, the eye itself is not a sin akhi.  The eye on the US-Dollar bill is the eye of GOD Almighty, according to them, which is of course blasphemy.  So, not only it's an image of GOD Almighty, which is forbidden in the Bible and in Islam, but it is also the official symbol of the USA.  Or it's one of the TOP AND OFFICIAL SYMBOLS of the USA.

The eye in the images that you showed seems to symbolize that the police doesn't sleep .  That's they're ever watching to guard the country and the society from evil.  If this symbol is an official Saudi government one, then it probably would be a different story.

But nonetheless akhi, the land of Saudi Arabia was prophesied by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, to be part of the anti-Christ (dajjal) regime.  Not the people of Saudi Arabia, but the rulers of Saudi Arabia.  I of course advise you to not push this too far with your government or the police over there, because these countries over there are police states and dictatorships.  But here is what the Prophet of Islam said about Arabia in general:

"O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Shaam. O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd." I think the third time the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "There (in Najd) will occur earthquakes, trials and tribulations, and from their appears the Horn of Satan." Some Muslims tried to say that this Hadith is referring to Iraq.  This is complete nonesense, because Najd is geographically and historically known to be in Saudi Arabia.  In fact, there are many Hadiths that refer to Najd during the Prophet's days in the lands that he lived in: http://www.answering-christianity.com/cgi-bin/hadiths/hadith_search.cgi?search_text=najd&search_type=Exact+String&B1=Search.

I hope this answers your question, dear brother.  It would be nice to remove the eye symbol from the Saudi police, but again, it seem from the images that you gave that the eye represents the police, and certainly not GOD Almighty.  The eye on the US-Dollar bill represents GOD Almighty's eye, which is blasphemy.

It doesn't matter if there were 1 or 10 other Najds in far distant lands, my dear brother.  The fact that the Sahaba (Companions) asked the Prophet "O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd", proves that they were referring to the Najd in Saudi Arabia.  Keep in mind that for the 23 years of Prophethood, the Prophet NEVER left the area that is between Mecca and Medina and their near by towns, which all exist in the Najd province.  So "O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd" clearly refers to that place, and not Iraq.

Very interesting poinst, akhi Zulfiqar.  Jazaka Allah khayr.  I will further read on this topic.  I only read about it briefly in the past, but never went into too much depth in it.  I am still puzzled though at "our Najd" though.  I guess if we figure out

1-  Who asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, this question.

2-  Where was the Prophet at that time.

Then it would become much clearer.  But since we had a Najd province in modern-day Saudi Arabia, and there was also a Najd area or province in Iraq, then it's hard to tell like you said.  But I'll read up more about it, insha'Allah.
