Are these contradictions in the Quran?

Peace,
I just want to say that I think there is a contradiction in the Quran in the story of Moses and Mount Sinai. In Quran 27:9, it says: O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
While in 28:30 it says:But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree, "O Moses, indeed I am Allah, Lord of the worlds."
Why does it say that Allah said in one place "I am Allah, Lord of the Worlds" while in another place it says "it is I - Allah exalted in might and wise"

What did He actually say to Moses? "I am Allah the Mighty and Wise" or "I am Allah, the Lord of the Worlds?" I would like to know your answers please.

Great point.  Allah Almighty in the Glorious Quran sometimes gives exact quotes or descriptions of what was said or what happened, and sometime Allah Almighty describes with paraphrasing.  I have noticed this in my reading of the Glorious Quran.

In your case here, Allah Almighty is paraphrasing.  He gave pieces of what went on from conversation between Him and Prophet Moses, peace be upon him.  I will insha'Allah try to put a list of examples in an article and link it here to make this point clear.

Allah said both, but he told us some of what he said in different ayats.


said : “He said in Surat Al-Naml (We call your blame from those in the fire and those around them). He said in the stories (O Moses, I am God, Lord of the two worlds), and he said:“ It is between you ” However, he narrated in every surah some of what was included in that appeal. End quote from Tafseer Al-Fakhr Al-Razi (p. 3491)

What do you mean that you found a contradiction? Are you a Muslim?

Those aren't contradictions.
Imagine this story
John went to Bob, and told him "I'm the best player of basketball. I cannot be defeated"
Bob said : "You aren't, because I am! It is I that has never been defeated!"
John said : "Alright, let us play a game and see who is the best"
They played and Bob won. John said : "How could I have lost this game ? I was supposed to be the best !"
What Allah does in multiple places of the Quran is that He splits the story in multiple parts and reveal a part in different verses of different surahs, so that it ressembles like this
PART 1:
John went to Bob, and told him "I'm the best player of basketball."
Bob said : "You aren't, because I am!
John said : "Alright, let us play a game.
They played and Bob won.
PART 2:
John went to Bob, and told him "I'm the best player of basketball. I cannot be defeated"
Bob said : "It is I that has never been defeated!"
John said : "Alright, let us play a game and see who is the best"
John said : "How could I have lost this game ? I was supposed to be the best !"

Allah probably told him both things.

As an example:

Imagine you speak to an Emperor and you ask who he is, he replies "I am the Emperor, descendant of Ferghus The Great, Sovereign over the land of Granicus".

It is not a contradiction to say the Emperor said "I am the Emperor, Descendant of Ferghus the Great" or that the emperor said "I am the Emperor, Sovereign over the land of Granicus". Both are what the Emperor said, it's just the case that they do not describe the full thing the emperor said, it only describes what the emperor partially said. Likewise, the conversation between Allah and Moses could've been long and complex and Allah is mentioning two attributes he mentioned to Moses in that conversation.
