Narrated by Anas bin Malik: "When the Prophet died, none had collected the Qur'an but four persons: Abu Ad Darda, Mu'adh bin Jabal, Zaid bin Thabit and Abu Zaid. We were the inheritor (of Abu Zaid) as he had no offspring."[Sahih Bukhari 6:61:526]

Welcome to the board.  I ask Allah Almighty to Lead you to the Right Path of Islam.  Ameen.

First of all, it's not "slam".  It's Salam.  This is where you get your Shalom from.  It's actually Salam.  The Hebrews pronounce the "s" as "sh".

As to the compilation of the Holy Quran, accordidng to our Sahih traditions, It was compiled by many.  I am actually one Muslim though, from among overwhelming many, that believe that the Holy Quran was actually fully written down and compiled during Prophet Muhammad's life time.  Peace be upon our Prophet and his Righteous Companions.  The clear-cut proof for this claim and belief is:

1-  In the Holy Quran's Miraculous andComplex Text Itself, that couldn't have been written in Its Miraculous Way without the Aid of Angel Gabriel.

2-  In the Holy Quran's Claims about It being compiled and a complete Book.
