BENGALIS ARE ALSO NOT FOLLOWING ISLAM

ASSALAMUALYKUM,  I found out one thing Bengalis though claim themselves Muslims are not following Islam. I saw one thing that is, they give much priority to their anti-Islamic culture than Islam. The women wear sarees  just like hindus. Men wear lungis. There are many statues in front of different universities which they claim as a part of their culture. But all these are contrary to Islam.

 Well, I'm a Pakistani and a Sunni Muslim. At present I'm in Bangladesh.I saw all these here.If  I'm wrong then anyone can correct me. But I think I am correct.

Shaky ground there Brother Farhan. The saree and lungi have absolutely no religious significance. They are simply a type of dress worn by a specific culture. Frankly, im absolutely disgusted that you consider  my father is apparently 'not following islam' simply because he wears a lungi. I guess the fact that he's a five times a day-er, frequent jummah goer and a quran reciter means nothing to you. I am disgusted. Ofcourse, women need to make sure the saree is modest enough but that is the same with all clothes in all cultures. As for the issue of statues and other stuff. The objection is valid but you dont see me going around saying pakistanis arent following islam with the violence regarding politics. Thats not islam either. Learn not to judge, it will take you a long way.

Ive been holding in my anger for a while now. So much judging going around on this forum. But this has hit the limit. This is goodbye everyone.

ARE YOU A BENGALI? Sorry brother if you are hurt. I'm very sorry. But can you justify one thing why there are too many statues in front of some of the universities of Bangladish. Just justify this. And I seek for forgiveness from you. And if you just explain me this I might remove this topic.

Brother this is a forum for the Muslims. So it's our responsibility to uphold any type of wrong activities. And I didn't only refer to sarees and lungis I also referred to the statues. Yes, if there is any statue in any other muslim country I will also protest it. And the most important culture is the Islamic culture. No other culture is superior to Islam. Try to understand this. I don't want to argue. I will accept any criticism. I am glad that you replied. I'm ready to face any criticism.

Statues are most likely erected by the government. You really think people who are too busy being crushed underneath collapsing buildings have the money to spare to erect some stupid statue? You didnt bother to actually check if sarees and lungis are in conflict in islam. You merely assumed. Your reasoning is extremely shabby.

Many acts are taking place in Pakistan which are contrary to Islam. Every nation has bad and good people. yes some nations have much good people some much bad.

Yes. Some would have been a better way to explain it. The politics in our muslim countries really disturb me. We have KSA with its mysogyny against women, bangladesh and pakistan with political unrest, syria in civil war, the taliban in afghanistan, al qaeda in iraq and all that crap. We are still friends Brother Farhan. I apologise too. My language was a bit too confrontational i guess. You are correct. We should all be united and on the most part we are. Its just that fringe few that ruin it for us.

You can celebrate culture and still be muslim.
You can wear a chinese dress, pre islamically and still be muslim, you can wear your pre islamic dress and still be muslim, you can eat your pre islamic food dishes (AS long as its not pork, alchohol, etc.). people think that once you convert to islam or if you are muslim, you have to take up arab, turkish and/or persian cultur, thats false. "muslim" culture is actually world culture expressed in an apropriate islamic way because because muslims are all over the world.
