Thanks for the post brother! As always i have appreciated your work on Quran's interpretation. JazakAllah.
But related to above post, one thing that i get confused in is that as Quran's Allah's word then this ayah must be talking about something precise as Lord could never talk on the basis of estimations and all, He encompasses each and everything. And if its an estimate how could one differentiate between estimates and the precise words on Allah in Quran. And Also my thoughts on this ayah are that Allah Almighty is talking about precise 6 months gestation period and that is based from the time of conception and not from the time of last menstruation cycle of women as is usually is the case because humans cannot exactly estimate the exact day of conception. So based on that it amounts to around 25 and just over half weeks . Based on that it could be deduced that 25 and just over half week is the time period by which a child born is viable and he/she doesnt need any equipement to survive. Usually its after 24 weeks of gestation length that a baby can survive so adding for one or two weeks to convert this since conception, it goes the same length.

Pardon me for any error in the above as these are just thoughts on this.

Thank you brother for your reply. Just to tweak my original post on this subject. I know its been long time, someone popped the issue again so i thought i should clarify my interpretation. Incorporating the new knowledge that i have gained recently, the Quran must be talking about 6 months of gestation period from conception which none knows but Almighty Allah. Considering that exact time frame for a mature pregnancy is taken as 40 Weeks so this makes 4.4 weeks per month. Therefore, 6 months equate to 26.4 months and adding two weeks for conception could put it 28.4 months. According to research herehttps://www.babycenter.com/0_whats-the-outlook-for-premature-babies-born-before-28-31-33_10300031.bc?page=2#articlesection2 96% of these babies could survive. Also to quote:"Babies born at 28 to 31 weeks are at risk for medical complications. However, when complications occur, they may not be as severe as those of babies born earlier. Babies born with a very low birth weight (less than 3 pounds, 4 ounces) remain at risk for serious disabilities.". Therefore in view of this, Quran must be stating the time period from conception until birth when a baby is healthy and he/she has no serious medical complications and could survive on its own, although it stills needs the oxygen as the above link explains.

On this link here:
https://quranspotlight.wordpress.com/articles/quran-hadith-talmud-galen/
they say everything is copied from Talmud especially the gender determination in 40 days hadith. Need a big time refutation on this please.

Thanks brother! May Allah reward you for the work that you are doing for the community.

So this means that this hadith could be regarded as fake like other several hadiths which are not in line with the science?

Regards;

The following is the hadith which explains why baby resembles with one of the parents:

 Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih from Anas ibn Malik:

Umm Sulaym [Anas' mother] said that she once asked the Prophet about a woman that sees, upon waking up, [traces of an emission of fluid] just as a man can. The Prophet MHMD replied, "When a woman sees this, let her wash from head to toe." Umm Sulaym said that she felt shy to ask such a thing and added, "Can such a thing truly take place?" The Godsent Prophet said MHMD - upon him blessings and peace: "Yes, it can. Where else does [parental] resemblance originate [in the child]? Indeed, the fluid of the man is thick and white while the fluid of the woman is thin and yellow. Whichever of the two surpasses (`ala) or precedes (sabaqa) the other, dictates resemblance."

Although in other hadiths where fluid of woman is mentioned the scholars have interpreted it to mean chromosomes, genetics, gametes.
But the above hadith makes it otherwise which proves to the reader that Prophet (PBUH) was talking about physical fluid which apparently has nothing to do with the fertilization in anyway. Someone tried to refute it by mentioning the "Courpus lieutium" a yellow body filled with yellowish fluid but that fluid doesn't come out of vagina. Or in other words vaginal discharge is something different. So any ideas regarding this?

assalamo alikum!
but it is referred to a phenomena which is seen as is referred to in an hadith as well as follows:

As we were sitting during the night with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), a meteor shot gave a dazzling light.  Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:  “What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)?”  They said:  “Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died,” whereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:  “(These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone.  Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing.  Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world.  Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne:  ‘What your Lord has said?’ And they accordingly inform them what He says.  Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of this world.  In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors.”

But from the point of view of science cosmic rays and gamma rays phenomena cannot be seen from earth ?.. Kindly explain this to me brother, i am sure i must be wrong in that its just a matter of interpretation!..
All praise is due to Allah Alone!
