The Prophet said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the 'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to  crawl." The Prophet added, "Certainly I decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses."

Amazingly, the similarities between the biblical narratives of the end-times and the Islamic narratives do not end with the Antichrist and the Mahdi.  If it were so, then it might be easier to dismiss the many similarities as mere coincidence.  The parallels however, do not stop with the Antichrist and the Mahdi, but extend again quite clearly, into the person of the man biblically known as the False Prophet and the man known in Islam as Isa al-Masih – Jesus the Messiah. 
 
The specific plan of Satan down through the ages is articulated clearly in the Bible.  The Bible teaches that Satan will raise up not one, but two men as his agents in the earth to lure men away from the worship of The One True God.  The first man that Satan will use is the Antichrist.  We have already examined his role in chapter five.  The second man is known biblically as the False Prophet.  We will examine his role next…
 
The Unholy Partnership Of The Antichrist And The False Prophet
 
The nature of the relationship of the biblical False Prophet to the Antichrist is one of a partner in crime so to speak.  It is only in the final book of the Bible that we learn about the False Prophet.  The Apostle John was the first and only author of Scripture that received revelation about this assistant to the Antichrist.  In Revelation chapter thirteen, John introduces us to the man described as “another beast” but spoken of later in Revelation as the False Prophet:
 
Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.  He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast...  And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.  Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth… Revelation 13:11-14
 
From this passage, we can determine a few things about the False Prophet.  Firstly he is called a beast - he is, like the Antichrist, a man possessed by Satan.  He is another human pawn of the Dragon, exercising the will of the Dragon on the earth.  But instead of ten horns, he only has two.  The horns speak of authority.  The power and authority of the False Prophet is clear, but it is not nearly equal to that of the Antichrist who is said to have ten horns.  We also see that the False Prophet is a miracle worker.  Among the many miracles he is said to work, one is mentioned specifically: He is said to cause fire to come down from the sky.  The False Prophet’s primary reason for performing miraculous signs is to cause the inhabitants of the earth to follow and even to worship the Antichrist.  The two are pictured as a team, a partnership with one common goal - deception, seduction and a luring away of anyone who worships Yahweh, the God of the Bible. 
 
The Unholy Partnership Of The Mahdi And The Muslim Jesus
 
Likewise in the Islamic narrative of the last-days, we do not find a lone character who is coming to rescue the world, but instead we find a team.  We find both the Mahdi and the Muslim Jesus.  And as in the case of the Antichrist and the False Prophet, we find that one is clearly filling a supporting role while the other is the leader.  While the Mahdi is clearly described as being, “the Viceregent (Caliph) of Allah,” 1 Jesus is described as being one who will “espouse the cause of the Mahdi” 3 and “follow him.” 2 The partnership between the Mahdi and Jesus is one of the leader and his subordinate.  And as we have already seen, and will continue to see, the partnership of the Mahdi and Jesus is indeed an unholy partnership - particularly if you are not a Muslim and have no intention of becoming one.  If this is the case, then you are marked for death - plain and simple.  The Muslim Jesus is a twisted version of the biblical Jesus who said:
 
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.  And this is the will of him who sent me; that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.  For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:38-40
 
Instead of espousing the “cause” of the Father, the Muslim Jesus espouses the cause of the Mahdi.  Instead of saving those followers of His whom the Father has placed under his oversight, the Muslim Jesus instead slaughters those who remain faithful to the words of Jesus as found in the Bible.  The Muslim Jesus is not the tender yet strong shepherd of the gospels, but rather The Wolf himself in the shepherd’s clothing. 
 
The False Prophet As The Antichrist’s Chief Enforcer
 
The coming of the lawless one (The Antichrist) will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.  They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.  2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
 
Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth… He performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Revelation 13:11,12
 
We see in the Bible that the False Prophet will come with “all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.”  He will perform “great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down out of heaven… (To deceive) the inhabitants of the earth.”  But after his miracle working power fails to convert every last person on the earth, his primary drive becomes to set up a system whereby the inhabitants of the earth will have only two options; worship the Antichrist or be killed.  The False Prophet is said to create some form of “image,” possibly some form of idol or statue that has the ability to “speak.”  Exactly what this “image” will be is yet to be seen. 
 
He (The False Prophet) was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. Revelation 13:15
 
There is something highly unusual about this image that “could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.”  Somehow the image itself will have the ability to enforce the law of the False Prophet; it will have the ability to cause people to be killed.  This seems to work in tangent with the infamous “mark of the beast” that is part of the False Prophet’s system.  All the inhabitants of the earth will be “forced, everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:17)
 
So biblically speaking, the False Prophet is the enforcer of the Antichrist’s global worship movement.  Imagine for a moment, a miracle working evangelist who is completely possessed by Satan and refuses to take no for an answer at the threat of death.  This is exactly what the False Prophet will be. 
 
The Muslim Jesus As The Mahdi’s Chief Enforcer
 
The False Muslim Jesus according to Islam will likewise be the greatest evangelist that the world has ever seen.  He fulfills the description of the False Prophet in this regard to a tee!  We see that the false Muslim Jesus, like the False Prophet comes to convert the Christian world to a new religion.  In the case of the Muslim Jesus, the religion is, of course, Islam: 
 
When Jesus returns he will personally correct the misrepresentations and misinterpretations about himself.  He will affirm the true message that he brought in his time as a prophet, and that he never claimed to be the Son of God.  Furthermore, he will reaffirm in his second coming what he prophesied in his first coming bearing witness to the seal of the Messengers, Prophet Muhammad.  In his second coming many non-Muslims will accept Jesus as a servant of Allah Almighty, as a Muslim and a member of the Community of Muhammad. 4
 
Though based merely on this description, Jesus’ power to convert seems based more on the simple fact of the persuasiveness of his words, presence and actions than any specific mention of miracles.  Just like the False Prophet however, the Muslim Jesus refuses to take no for an answer.  As seen above, Jesus, along with the Mahdi, institutes the Islamic Law all over the earth and in so doing, abolishes the Jizyah Tax which non-Muslims historically have had the option of paying as “protection” money not much unlike the “protection” money that mafia bosses extort from businesses in their area.  After the time that the Jizyah tax is abolished, “all people will be required to embrace Islam and there will be no other alternative.” 5 But what if some still refuse to convert?  Then, as we have already seen, the leaders of the so-called “religion of peace,” the Mahdi and the Muslim Jesus will have them executed.
 
The False Prophet As Executioner
 
From the Bible’s description of the False Prophet we learn that one of the primary motives behind his plan in creating this “image in honor of the beast” is so that those who refuse to worship it are killed:
 
He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.  Revelation 13:14,15
 
Later there is a specific reference to the exact form in which these people will be killed:
 
And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. Revelation 20:4
 
The Bible tells us that those who refuse to participate in the system established by the False Prophet, who refuse to worship the Antichrist or his image will be killed.  The specific method that the Bible highlights is beheading.  We will discuss this fact in more detail in a later chapter.  The False Prophet will be the greatest executioner that the world has ever known.
 
The Muslim Jesus As Executioner
 
And how different is the Muslim Jesus?  We have already examined the Islamic traditions that establish that Jesus will abolish the Jizyah tax thus leaving only two options for Christians and Jews worldwide: convert to Islam or die.
 
Jesus, the son of Mary will soon descend among the Muslims as a just judge… Jesus will, therefore, judge according to the law of Islam… all people will be required to embrace Islam and there will be no other alternative. 6
 
The time and the place for [the poll tax] is before the final descent of Jesus. After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent 7
 
We have also seen the Islamic traditions that picture Jesus as being the leader of an army that slaughters tens of thousands of Jews who are all said to be followers of the Dajjal (Antichrist).
The Yahudis (Jews)… will be his main followers. 8
Isa (Jesus) kills the Dajjal at the Gate of Hudd, near an Israeli airport, in the valley of “Ifiq.”  The final war between the Yahudi’s will ensue, and the Muslims will be victorious.  9
In the Last Hour Muslims will fight with Jews.  Since the Jews are an integral part of the army of the Dajjal, and Muslims are the soldiers of the Prophet Jesus, they will fight each other and the Muslims will become triumphant until even a stone or a tree would say:  Come here, Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me; kill him. 10
The biblical False Prophet and the Muslim Jesus are both described as establishing a system of Law that will enforce the mass execution of anyone who refuses to convert to the new global religion. 
 
A Dragon In Sheep’s Clothing
 
We have all heard the expression “a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”  Most people don’t know that Jesus is the originator of this saying.  Interestingly, when Jesus coined this expression, he was referring specifically to false prophets.  The exact phrase was, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves” (Matthew 7:15).  Likewise, The False Prophet to whom all other false prophets are merely a foreshadowing is described by the Apostle John as one who, “had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon” (Revelation 13:11).  This is to say that the False Prophet will appear to be mild and gentle – a “lamb-like” person, but inwardly he is a man who is literally possessed by Satan himself.  He will be filled with deception, murder, rage and hatred.  His purpose will be to deceive as many people as he can into worshipping the Dragon.
 
The appearance of the False Prophet as “a lamb” may also quite possibly be a reference to notion that the False Prophet will claim to literally be The Lamb, Jesus Christ (John 1:36; Revelation 5:6,13).  This would make sense if we look a bit more closely at Jesus’ warnings to His disciples in Matthew chapter 24.  Repeatedly, Jesus warns his disciples of the many false prophets who will come in the last-days, but in the very first warning that Jesus gives His disciples when they ask him about the nature of the Final Hour before His return, Jesus says, "Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5)  While I do not believe that every false prophet that will emerge in the last-days will literally claim to be Christ himself, it is clear from this passage that some will.  And if The False Prophet of Revelation 13 is the archetype and very model for all other false prophets, then it also stands to reason that the False Prophet may very well claim to be Jesus Christ himself.  This of course is a perfectly brilliant (though infinitely evil) plan.  Who else better could you imagine to have as your back-up man and your primary minister of propaganda than someone whom much of the world believes to be Jesus Christ himself?  It appears that this is what Satan has planned for the Antichrist/Mahdi. 
 
Conclusion
 
Muslims are very fond of using Jesus as an evangelistic tool among Christians.  Numerous Muslim books have been published which extol the greatness of Jesus and express a deep love for Him.  One Muslim web site even proclaims that “Jesus led me to Islam.”  Muslims use Jesus as a lure to draw Christians in, in order to convince them of the truth of Islam.  But the advertised Jesus of Islam is much different than the Muslim Jesus that comes to reveal his true identity as the most radical of fundamentalist Muslims.  The Jesus that returns in Muslim tradition makes Osama Bin Laden look like a novice.  He is pictured as coming to establish Islamic Law across the face of the planet that would legalize the execution of anyone who refuses to convert to Islam.  He is pictured as leading the army that will slaughter tens of thousands of Jews who are said to be followers of the Dajjal.  If ever such a person existed that could rightly be described as a “beast,” then surely, the Muslim Jesus is such a man.
 
Muslims are awaiting a man to come that will claim to be Jesus Christ.  He would be presented as a lamb.  If such a man ever exists, he will claim according to Islamic tradition, that he has been alive in heaven for the past two thousand years, waiting to return to complete his life and accomplish his mission on the earth.  Such a man would be a liar.  He would be a true student of his master, the father of lies.  He would come to fulfill what the Bible expresses to be the chief boiling desires of Satan, to either deceive Christians and Jews – indeed the entire earth into worshipping him or to slaughter them.  In the Bible, we see that it is for these very purposes that Satan will empower his False Prophet.  The biblical description of the False Prophet and the Islamic description of the Muslim Jesus, on all the essential points, are identical.

What does that have to do with Muhammad's followers praying toward the Quraish pagan's black stone idol in Mecca, located in a town that did not exist before the 4th century AD, my friend? What does it have to do with Muhammad's followers engaging in thinly veneered Arabian pagan moon, sun, star and jinn-devil worship rituals?

Just because some prophets prostrated at times doesn't make Islamic prayer valid. Prophets did not prostrate 5 times a day towards a idol temple with a  black stone. Only pagan did, and Muhammad copied them.

Bukhari, V1 B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Not such a surprise for a Christian to find an association when we learn that the single most egregious and only unforgivable sin in Muhammadanism, is committed if a Muslim were to confess that Jesus is the Son of God or even pray in Jesus' name. As compared to child rape or cold-blooded mass murder, for example, which may be forgiven. (more on Islam's sin of "shirk")

On the Zola Levitt program, Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist now Christian evangelist, said that when he saw the Greek symbol that is translated in the Bible as 666, he immediately read it as the Arabic character “Bismillah” (some spell Bismilla) which means "in the name of Allah." (Though it looks more like the character for "Allah").

Below (left) are photos of Greek symbols translated in the Bible as 666, from Free Jesus.net:  The gold symbol (bottom and right) is Arabic for "Allah" when turned and mirrored.  Additionally, crossed swords are a symbol for Islam.  So in 666 we may find symbols for both "Islam" and "Allah".



If Shoebat's account seems a stretch, even though Arabic was his first language and Islam the religion he was indoctrinated into, consider how this Arabic character is stylized into many different artistic forms.  Consider also how some look for this character in trees, clouds and virtually everywhere, as this search link attests - even in a fish!

There is at least one sect of Islam, the Submission sect (Bahattin Uzunkaya), that considers the number 666 as well as the number 19, to demonstrate the perfection of the Koran and the proof that Muhammad is the prophet of Allah.

 

In some Muslim's own words: 

"The number 666 is highly publicized all over the world and it is associated with evil and danger.
However, it is not what it seems. It was a Satanic trick.
The trick was to prevent the people approaching the 666.
Satan knew that the 666 is the book of GOD and the people should be kept away from it.
According to his plan, he placed a bad image to the number 666."

This 666 connection is, however, just one anecdotal component of Bible prophecy pointing to the Middle Eastern Islamic empire as the leopard-bear-lion beast of Revelation 13.

This 666 "miracle" is found on a Turkish website that seems to have embellished Rashad Khalifa's prime number gematria, who began his research in 1968, or the year after the "times of the Gentiles" were fulfilled in Jerusalem. When first brought forward, Rashad Khalifa's mathematical "miracle" was widely embraced by Muslims throughout the Islamic world, including the Middle East. Khalifa eventually determined that according to his gematria, a few verses did not belong in the Quran, and as a result lost favor to the extent that he was eventually "stabbed 29 times and his body was drenched in xylol but not set alight". Submitters still believe Khalifa was a messenger of God. It is interesting to note, that out of the entire universe of numbers that Rashad's computer "miracle" could have arrived at as holy, that the number 666 would be one of the few.

Hermeneutics support that the Islamic empire is the "beast" kingdom of the above verse.

Exposing Muhammad as the "man" referenced.

Since most Muslims do not ascribe to this group that labels the Quran and Muhammad with the number 666, could this Islamic 666 "miracle" be a warning from God to Christians, Jews, and Muslims, as yet another fulfillment of the related prophecy in the Book of Revelation, now that we find ourselves in this "time of the end"?

The book of Daniel defines the term "beast": Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,…. Thus we learn that the term beast = kingdom when used in the figurative language of a dream or vision in prophecy, and particularly in the context of Daniel's lion, bear, leopard and fourth "dreadful", beasts. Bible scholars - Christian and Jew - almost universally understand these four "beasts" to be the successive kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and the Roman Empire. The leopard-bear-lion beast of Revelation then, is the Islamic empire, since it's occupies the same seat as those successive empires, today in Iraq (Babylon - lion), Iran (Medo-Persia - bear) and Syria/Lebanon (ancient Greece - leopard). These beasts are explored in more detail on their own page here, and in "The False Prophet" in this chapter.

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.



 
The Tragedy of the Mark (link to this spot)

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken,..." As explained in the prior section the "beast" is the false prophet Muhammad's Islamic empire - his followers. More on the beast here.

"... and with him..." Daniel's beasts were assigned the masculine gender: "...and his nails [of] brass ..... and stamped the residue with his feet:"

"...the false prophet..." The false prophet Muhammad who founded his antichrist Islamic kingdom "beast".

"...that wrought miracles..." Some reject Muhammad as the false prophet because he did not perform a single miracle, however the Koine Greek word "semeion" translated as "miracles" and "signs", is defined in Strong's as "that by which a person is distinguished from others and is known". That makes Muhammad a perfect fit for the false prophet, since he is his known for his Quran, and has without question been distinguished from others by it for 1400 years. Muhammad's Quran is the "semeion" that he wrought before his people - Muslims - the "beast".

"...before him,..." From Strong's "before" meaning "in the presence of" - the beast.

"...with which he deceived them..." Muhammad's followers deceived by the Quran.

"...that had received the mark..." The number 666 according to some of Muhammad's own followers.

Also consider the physical prayer marks and bumps in Muhammad's followers foreheads.



"...of the beast, and them..." Islamic kingdom, Muhammad's followers

"...that worshipped his image." Today's Islam and second Jihad, are the image of the first Islamic Jihad, and the beast's ambition to conquer all the kingdoms of the world, and subjugate all people to Muhammad's followers.  Jihad is the pinnacle of worship in Islam.

"These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." Does the wrath of God get any more serious than that?

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

"...[are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Serious business indeed. Tormented forever and ever without rest, in a lake of fire and brimstone.

If we consider an ethnographic hermeneutic of John's whole "world" - that is looking through John's eyes at the time he penned the book of Revelation, which is required because his assignment was to:
Revelation 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
Those things John saw, sees and shall be - after John. Thus John's world would have been limited to the whole known world, or the Middle East area, and perhaps extending into the lands of the Roman Empire at that time.  The Bible was written about the Holy Land and God's people, not about Peoria Illinois. 

Eze 5:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

Through this view we find Iraq, Iran and Syria/Lebanon (geographically the seat of the leopard-bear-lion beast of Revelation, and successive kingdom beasts of Daniel) to be from 90 to 99% Muslim. Other countries in the area are similarly Islamic - like Saudi Arabia at 100% and Turkey at 99% Muslim. 



In other words most everyone in the whole "world" that John knew, is today Muslim, and thus already have the mark.  In Saudi Arabia if a national announces they have converted to Christianity they are beheaded.  The penalty for "apostasy" or turning away from Islam, is death.  This is the prescribed punishment for Christian converts, from Islam to Christianity. The true hallmark of a dangerous cult.

 

Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast {Islam - Muslim}, or the number {666} of his name.

And thus it is in much of the Middle East - or John's whole world - TODAY.  When we exercise the discipline of hermeneutic rules in our Bible study we find that prophecy is nearly fulfilled, and our Lord and Savior's return is truly imminent.

When I visited YouTube in about December of 2007 I did a search of - mark beast microchip - and found around 150 videos. When I did the same search on July 27, 2009 I found 645. On October 24, 2011 I found 2,220.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Some Muslims suggest that the Bible was corrupted or mistranslated to demonize Islam, and their above number of perfection 666, but Muhammad wasn't even born until over 500 years after the Bible was complete. By Muhammad's day scripture had already been copied thousands of times and in many languages. Changing the Bible 500 years after the fact would have been an obvious impossibility.  See Bible manuscript page.

The Quran is a book of many weird prophets mentioned that have no biblical parallel to the Old or New Testament. You read the Quran and you find many strange prophets mentioned. One of these strange prophets is Idris. For a book that claims to be the eternal word of God, the Quran really falls short, in comparison to the Bible, in explaining about these prophets.

Moses is a prophet in the bible who is given extensive coverage about his life, his activities and his leadership of the Hebrew people out of Egypt. In the Quran, the same thing is also shown. However we already know about these prophets long before the Quran so it doesn't really help in trying to reiterate about them again. All the Quran basically does is just repeat the bible in many passages or it adds to the bible accounts with stories we don't find, except in the Quran itself.

Who are these other prophets in the Quran that the Bible seems to forget or leave out? With the exception of Dhul Qarnin, we don't know. If the Quran claims to be the inspired word of God then how come we don't find any information at all telling us how these prophets preached the message of God and how they were themselves chosen to follow God? Surely God would seem bright enough to provide answers to potential questions concerning the appearance of new prophets not found in the bible. However it seems that the Quran itself is suspect due to the fact that these prophets aren't elaborated on more than the mere mention or their name in a verse which is surrounded by other well-known prophets. One of these prophets mentioned in the Quran is Idris. Idris wasn't discussed in the entire Quran except in about 2 scriptures

Surah
19.56 Also mention in the Book Idrís: he was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet:

21.85 And (remember) Ismail, Idrís, and Zulkifl, all (men) of constancy and patience;

The Quran tells us in Surah 19:56 that Idris was to be mentioned in the book by Muhammad. Surely this book can't be the bible due to the fact that Mr. Idris doesn't exist at all! In the Quran we also see nothing about Idris other than his name. What is there to mention about Idris? Apparently Muhammad didn't know since he obviously didn't mention anything in the book (Quran). How was Idris a man of truth? How was Idris a prophet? The Quran gives no explanation of whatsoever. When did Idris live? Again, no explanation from the Quran. Who was Idris a prophet too? Again no answers found.

Surah 21:85 says that Muslims must remember Ishmael, and Iris, along with others. The Quran continues by saying that all were men of constancy and patience. We know about Ishmael from the bible but again we don't find nothing mentioned by the Quran concerning how Idris is. How was exactly Idris a man of patience? We don't know but due to blind faith and nothing to go own, Muslims must believe this message in the Quran. So who is Idris? Here is what a Muslim named Naim said:

Idris is Enoch which is clear from the Quranic and hadith texts you fool!
Naim's assertions are also verified by this source and may be the common assertion of Muslims today

Idris, commonly identified with the Biblical Enoch is commemorated as a saint and a prophet whom god raised to a lofty station. Ismael and Idris are also referred to in the Sura of the Prophets, together with ZulKifl (believed to be an Arabicised form of Ezekiel). They are qualified as men of constancy and patience, whom God admitted to his mercy for they were among the righteous (A Guide to the Contents o of the Quran, Sherif, Faruq, pg. 94 Garnett, 1995, ISBN 1 85964 045 1)
Naim calls me a fool for not accepting this idea but lets investigate his claims to see the parallels of Enoch and Idris. We will also see whether Idris is indeed Enoch as Muslims like Naim claim. Read Genesis 5:21-24:

So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Hebrews 11:4-5
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
In order for us to make Idris be Enoch we have to find in both the Quran and the Hadith evidence of Idris doing these things like Enoch that the bible, which was in existence before Islam, mentioned. It seemed like a great prophet like Idris should be accompanied with proof in the so-called word of God which the Quran claims to be. However, there is no such evidence from both the Quran and the Hadith, look at the 2 previous scriptures mentioned earlier from the Quran, these are the only 2 that mention Idris:

None of these scriptures show anything about Idris performing anything close to the actions of Enoch. They just mention his name and that's all. Does the Hadith give any more light on this evidence? Let see: (note: If the Hadith is to long to post the part dealing specifically with Idris will be shown, this is not to post out of context but to keep the reader focused. There are many hadiths that are long in which more than one topic is discussed)

Volume 1, Book 8, Number 345:

Narrated Abu Dhar:

Allah's Apostle said, "While I was at Mecca the roof of my house was opened and Gabriel descended, opened my chest, and washed it with Zam-zam water. Then he brought a golden tray full of wisdom and faith and having poured its contents into my chest, he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest heaven, when I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel said to the gatekeeper of the heaven, 'Open (the gate).' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel answered: 'Gabriel.' He asked, 'Is there anyone with you?' Gabriel replied, 'Yes, Muhammad I is with me.' He asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel said, 'Yes.' So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked toward his left he wept. Then he said, 'Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious son.' I asked Gabriel, 'Who is he?' He replied, 'He is Adam and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he weeps.' Then he ascended with me till he reached the second heaven and he (Gabriel) said to its gatekeeper, 'Open (the gate).' The gatekeeper said to him the same as the gatekeeper of the first heaven had said and he opened the gate. 'Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother.' The Prophet asked, 'Who is he?' Gabriel replied, 'He is Idris." The Prophet added, "I passed by Moses and he said, 'Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother.' I asked Gabriel, 'Who is he?' Gabriel replied, 'He is Moses.' Then I passed by Jesus and he said, 'Welcome! O pious brother and pious Prophet.' I asked, 'Who is he?' Gabriel replied, 'He is Jesus.
This Hadith tells us that Idris was in heaven but again no answer as to what type of activities Idris performed to get there as a prophet. If Idris was Enoch, why didn't Muhammad elaborate more on him in the Quran or Hadith to prove this statement?

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 429:

Narrated Malik bin Sasaa:

The Prophet said, "While I was at the House in a state midway between sleep and wakefulness, (an angel recognized me) as the man lying between two men. A golden tray full of wisdom and belief was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower part of the abdomen and then my abdomen was washed with Zam-zam water and (my heart was) filled with wisdom and belief. Al-Buraq, a white animal, smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set out with Gabriel. When I reached the nearest heaven. Gabriel said to the heaven gate-keeper, 'Open the gate.' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?' He said, 'Gabriel.' The gate-keeper,' Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel said, 'Muhammad.' The gate-keeper said, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel said, 'Yes.' Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' Then I met Adam and greeted him and he said, 'You are welcomed O son and a Prophet.' Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel said, 'Gabriel.' It was said, 'Who is with you?' He said, 'Muhammad' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' It was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!" Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris and greeted him. He said, 'You are welcomed O brother and Prophet.' Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens. there I met and greeted Aaron who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet". Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Moses who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and. a Prophet.' When I proceeded on, he started weeping and on being asked why he was weeping, he said, 'O Lord! Followers of this youth who was sent after me will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers.' Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Abraham who said, 'You are welcomed o son and a Prophet.' Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Gabriel about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).' Then I was shown Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven) and I saw its Nabk fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr (i.e. a town in Arabia), and its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and four rivers originated at its root, two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Gabriel about those rivers and he said, 'The two hidden rivers are in Paradise, and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates.' Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me. I descended till I met Moses who asked me, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Fifty prayers have been enjoined on me.' He said, 'I know the people better than you, because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience. Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So, return to your Lord and request Him (to reduce the number of prayers.' I returned and requested Allah (for reduction) and He made it forty. I returned and (met Moses) and had a similar discussion, and then returned again to Allah for reduction and He made it thirty, then twenty, then ten, and then I came to Moses who repeated the same advice. Ultimately Allah reduced it to five. When I came to Moses again, he said, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Allah has made it five only.' He repeated the same advice but I said that I surrendered (to Allah's Final Order)'" Allah's Apostle was addressed by Allah, "I have decreed My Obligation and have reduced the burden on My slaves, and I shall reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds."
Here again we see no reference to Idris being Enoch, if Muslims want to use the excuse about how Enoch was caught up to heaven and that Idris was in heaven, this is fallible due to the fact that all of these other prophets are mentioned too as being in heaven. Again the Hadith doesn't lend any help on how Idris could be Enoch.

Volume 5, Book 58, Number 227:

Narrated Abbas bin Malik:

Malik bin Sasaa said that Allah's Apostle described to them his Night Journey saying, "While I was lying in Al-Hatim or Al-Hijr, suddenly someone came to me and cut my body open from here to here." I asked Al-Jarud who was by my side, "What does he mean?" He said, "It means from his throat to his pubic area," or said, "From the top of the chest." The Prophet further said, "He then took out my heart. Then a gold tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled (with Belief) and then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me." (On this Al-Jarud asked, "Was it the Buraq, O Abu Hamza?" I (i.e. Anas) replied in the affirmative). The Prophet said, "The animal's step (was so wide that it) reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal's sight. I was carried on it, and Gabriel set out with me till we reached the nearest heaven.

When he asked for the gate to be opened, it was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel answered, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has Muhammad been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the first heaven, I saw Adam there. Gabriel said (to me). 'This is your father, Adam; pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel ascended with me till we reached the second heaven. Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel answered, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel answered in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened.

When I went over the second heaven, there I saw Yahya (i.e. John) and 'Isa (i.e. Jesus) who were cousins of each other. Gabriel said (to me), 'These are John and Jesus; pay them your greetings.' So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel ascended with me to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel replied, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the third heaven there I saw Joseph. Gabriel said (to me), 'This is Joseph; pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel ascended with me to the fourth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel replied, 'Gabriel' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed, what an excel lent visit his is!'

The gate was opened, and when I went over the fourth heaven, there I saw Idris. Gabriel said (to me), 'This is Idris; pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.'…

Volume 9, Book 93, Number 608:

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The night Allah's Apostle was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque (of Mecca) Al-Ka'ba: Three persons came to him (in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Mosque before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him. One of them said, "Which of them is he?" The middle (second) angel said, "He is the best of them." The last (third) angle said, "Take the best of them." Only that much happened on that night and he did not see them till they came on another night, i.e. after The Divine Inspiration was revealed to him. (Fateh-Al-Bari Page 258, Vol. 17) and he saw them, his eyes were asleep but his heart was not----and so is the case with the prophets: their eyes sleep while their hearts do not sleep. So those angels did not talk to him till they carried him and placed him beside the well of Zam-Zam. From among them Gabriel took charge of him. Gabriel cut open (the part of his body) between his throat and the middle of his chest (heart) and took all the material out of his chest and abdomen and then washed it with Zam-Zam water with his own hands till he cleansed the inside of his body, and then a gold tray containing a gold bowl full of belief and wisdom was brought and then Gabriel stuffed his chest and throat blood vessels with it and then closed it (the chest). He then ascended with him to the heaven of the world and knocked on one of its doors.

The dwellers of the Heaven asked, 'Who is it?' He said, "Gabriel." They said, "Who is accompanying you?" He said, "Muhammad." They said, "Has he been called?" He said, "Yes" They said, "He is welcomed." So the dwellers of the Heaven became pleased with his arrival, and they did not know what Allah would do to the Prophet on earth unless Allah informed them. The Prophet met Adam over the nearest Heaven. Gabriel said to the Prophet, "He is your father; greet him." The Prophet greeted him and Adam returned his greeting and said, "Welcome, O my Son! O what a good son you are!" Behold, he saw two flowing rivers, while he was in the nearest sky. He asked, "What are these two rivers, O Gabriel?" Gabriel said, "These are the sources of the Nile and the Euphrates."

Then Gabriel took him around that Heaven and behold, he saw another river at the bank of which there was a palace built of pearls and emerald. He put his hand into the river and found its mud like musk Adhfar. He asked, "What is this, O Gabriel?" Gabriel said, "This is the Kauthar which your Lord has kept for you." Then Gabriel ascended (with him) to the second Heaven and the angels asked the same questions as those on the first Heaven, i.e., "Who is it?" Gabriel replied, "Gabriel". They asked, "Who is accompanying you?" He said, "Muhammad." They asked, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." Then they said, "He is welcomed.'' The only thing we find out new about Idris in this Hadith is a contradiction. In the previous hadith from Bukhari, which is the most authentic hadith of Islam, we see that Idris was in the 4th heaven while here we see that Idris was in the second heaven!! This shows us that Muhammad couldn't even remember where Idris was stationed at in Heaven and surely it proves that Islamic history is contradictory as well as not providing any information on the character of who Idris was. You can even read in the rest of these hadiths and you will find absolutely nothing about the mysterious Idris.

We see that Islamic thought of Idris being Enoch has no Biblical or Islamic standards, so where did Idris come from and who is the so-called Great prophet? The Quran gives no clue and so too does the Hadith. But History does. And it doesn't look too good about Idris

These two sources show that Idris, who is Arabic for Osiris is god of the underworld from Egypt!! They might differ on whether Osiris was resurrected but they both agree on the origin of Osiris.

The Koran declares that Idris, or Osiris, who was the ancient Egyptian god of the underworld, is:

... a man of truth [and sincerity], and a prophet. And We [Allah] raised him to lofty station. 19:56-57.
Is Osiris the god of the underworld, or a prophet? According to the Quran he is!!! Remember there is no evidence at all in Islamic history or the Quran to prove that Idris was Enoch. This idea came along later with Muslims who tried to equate Idris to Enoch. This is most embarrassing because it shows that the Quran has fictional characters (to make it even worse, pagan gods) as prophets!

Another allusion to Cain is found in the Quran in a passage where he is called the man "who has seduced among men."1 No one else is mentioned in this period excepting Idris2 who, according to the commentators, is Enoch. This seems probable from the words,3 "And we uplifted him to a place on high," and also from a Jewish writing in which he is counted among the nine who went to Paradise alive. Jalalu'ddin brings this point even more prominently forward4 "He lived in Paradise where he had been brought after he had tasted death; he was quickened however, and departed not thence again." Legends from Saba were the foundation of Muhammed's cult, according to this report. Enoch figures in with an apocryphal book attributed to him. Since no books were written in Enoch's era, and word of mouth was the method of passing on the revelation of Jehovah, the cult of Saba was simply a twist on the truth delivered by the true Enoch. That they called him Idris follows closely the mythological notions they held dear. That Muhammed claimed that Allah gave him the same line of cult in a cave outside Mecca merely shows that he saw the usefulness of the Sabean cult, probably having seen it in his ventures down the Frankincense Road to Yemen. The Qur-an only mentions Enoch under his surname "Idris" - the Arabic form of the Aramaic "Drisha" being of the same category of simple nouns as "Iblis" and "Blisa." "Idris" and "Drisha" signify a man of great learning, a scholar and an erudite, from "darash" (Arabic "darisa"). The Qur-anic text says: "And remember Idris in the same book; for he was a just person and a prophet; and We exalted him to a high place" (xix).

The Muslim commentators, Al-Baydhawi and Jalalu'd-Din, seem to know that Enoch had studied astronomy, physics, arithmetic, that he was the first who wrote with the pen, and that "Idris" signifies a man of much knowledge, thus showing that the Apocalypse of Enoch had not been lost in their time.

After the close of the Canon of the Hebrew Scriptures in the fourth century or so B.C. by the "Members of the Great Synagogue," established by Ezra and Nehemiah, all other sacred or religious literature besides those included within the Canon was called Apocrypha and excluded from the Hebrew Bible by an assembly of the learned and pious Jews, the last of whom was the famous "Simeon the Just," who died in 310 B.C. Now among these Apocryphal books are included the Apocalypses of Enoch, Barukh, Moses, Ezra, and the Sibyline books, written at different epochs between the time of the Maccabees and after the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus. It seems to be quite a la mode with the Jewish Sages to compose Apocalyptical and religious literature under the name of some celebrated personage of antiquity. The Apocalypse at the end of the New Testament which bears the name of John the Divine is no exception to this old Judaeo Christian habitude. If "Judah the brother of the Lord" was really the author of the one hundred and ten chapters bearing that name, there is no wonder that Justin the Martyr, Papias, and Eusebius would believe in the authorship of Matthew and John.

I received a letter from a self-appointed revisionist. I want you to note how this person makes assumptions which he thinks have no other explanation, and then he builds upon his assumptions, which he even admits no one else has discovered other than himself. Long ago my work on cross-cultural etymology led me to the revelation that the Greek + Egyptian addendum "us/as/es/is" originally denoted the pictogram of an outflowing of water. More specifically, it denoted a river flowing down from the original source or spring. When applied to names, like the Hebrew ben (son/daughter of) and bar (fountain or outflowing of aka son/daughter of), it meant "offspring of". I have never once found another soul who had found this to be true, but my own research affirmed it time and again.

So when one reads the Aramaic name Idris, they must realize that it is actually Idr-is, or "son of Idr".

This leaves the name Idr to be deciphered. In etymology the letter *j is always interchangeble with the letter *i, so Idr must be read as J-dr.

Going back to the time and age when Aramaic and Hebrew both stemmed from the same family of phonetic sounds and thus the same laws of grammar, we must realize that the Hebrew habit of deleting vowells found its way into the Aramaic world. So we must re-insert the proper vowels into the name J-dr, but what are they? Thankfully there is only a limited range of possibilities.

One place to look is to the Islamic teachings concerning Idris as being Enoch. Enoch being the son of JARED, we are thus seeing that J-dr is a Aramaic form of Jared, whose son would thus be called Jared-us or Idris.

I am not debating or arguing you about the mythological and historical roots of the Koran or Muhammed's credibility. I am merely supplying you with an apology which would serve the Muslim position that Enoch was Idris.

For that matter, I could probably punch more holes in the Koran than even you, sir, but this is not my goal. I am merely in the habit and career of looking for the grains of truth among the chaffe of cosmological mythology so as to help others move beyond heretical dogma and into that which is most important to my-- the inner light some call The Way.

The original Apocalypse of John undoubtedly used three shapes, and did not write them out as full numerical words. Only those who recieved oral Tardition as well as the Manuscript’s Copies could know what the symbols resembled numerically. Irenaeus was one such man. He didn’t understand it to refer to Nero, but said that that anitchrist had not yet been revealed.

Here is how the mistake of 616 for 666 occurred – the only way it could occur:
by the time of later copies, gematrical characters were falling into disuse by many, and the obsolete charcaters used for a couple of the numerics were being confused, so some recorded the words denoting what they rightly or wrongly thought the old symbols to refer to numerically. Since the original used the three characters, and did not limit their meaning to mere numerics, Shoebat’s observation concerning some traces of the original shapes copied out is most significant. It doesn’t matter how late some of them were copied (although they are not all late anyway).

The shapes are a little mis=shapen, and the line included over the middle character to denote special character use is in the perfect place.

With the definite article prefixed, Arabic )ILAH becomes )al-)ILAH, being 5 consonants in all, with a very definite glottal break between the l of the definite article and the initial )alif of the word )ILAH. The numerical sum of the consonants of the articulated term, )al-)ILAH is 67, but around the year 600, muhammad began using the invented name )allah, whose munerical value is 66, and it is precisely the 66 portion of the three characters for 666 in the Apocalypse that resemble the new name that itself is numerically 66.

318 is a number representing JESUS, as expmained in the Epistle of Barnabas, and seen reflected in the number of Orthodox Bishops at the Council of Nicea (some of them were at odds over the question of an ordination that took place, that was linked to their arguments over the nature of origen’s apologetics, so some of them only counted the 270 on their side of the originelist controvery, who nonetheless agreed with them on the TRINITY and on Church Canons). The 18 part in Greek characters is said to initialize the NAME IESOUS, while the hundreds digit is shown to resemble the Cross, the Symbol of JESUS.

The tens and ones digits of 666 represent the name invented by a man, who wrote his own thoughts as if they were divine, and the hundreds digit looks like his jihad’s symbol. It doesn’t say the number isn’t a composite of name and mark, but speaks of both!

In Daniel, the statue erected as an idle (which the Hebrew word )elul expresses) was said to be 60 by 6 measures, and made about the year 600 BC. About 666 the quran gained mastery over a spreading arabic empire, which an ottoman empire later resembled and overshadowed about 666 years later yet.

If the original )ILAH is cognate with Hebrew )EL, then the initial )lif is vital to thr retention of the idential root in )ILAH. If lost, then one of only two necessary letters is lost, so that no root exists. But if the first two letters in )allah are taken for that root, then the second l is not in keeping with the proposed root, and makes the root )ll, like the Hebrew word for idle. If the first two letters remain the definite article, then what follows is only lah, and means nothing, or for her!

Before muhammad, names like (abdulah were using the form )ILAH, not )allah. Arabic and Aramaic Christians and Jews have never used )allah, but only Aramaic )ALAHA, having only a single L, or Arabic )ILAH, or the articulated )al-)ILAH.

No Semitic language uses a geminate L in any of the proposed )EL cognates. Even if in Arabic an exception were made, a geminate is never written using two L characters, but only by pointing a single character as geminate. Two L characters means two separate occurrences of L with a distainct break between them, yet is not equal to a glottal stop between them.

Arabic is supposed to be very precise with the average word – why would it be sloppier with an alleged divine name? And saying that )allah cannot be made plural or feminine is an arbitrary decision muhammad himself made, and neither an eternal law nor ancient convention.

To place a second L draws out an already existent root for emptiness, from which words for nothing and idle derive.

Daniel speaks of a little horn that is differentiated from a man, yet having a man’s point of view, smaller than a man, being a book against which the BOOKS of Judgement are opened, which is given a mouth (recitation) full of boastful blasphemy against GOD and HIS Saints, and the Aramic word used there for horn is qeren.

The numbers of years given, the over 1200 and the over 1300 hundred are to be added one after the other. The first ends with the taking of the Temple Mount by islam, the second is the nearly 1400 years of islam to it’s end in the near future.
