I think it's the same earth because the verse [020:055] says:

" From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out ومنها نخرجكم once again."

God created us on earth and will resurrect us from it. Notice that the verse says, "From the (earth) did We create you".

1.If it's referring to morning on earth, then it's wrong because the sun was created on day 4 while light was created on day 1.

Not necessarily, akhi.  This is where you and I are disconnecting.  Light already existed.  The creation of our sun on day 4 doesn't mean that light didn't exist on the days before that.  The verses simply speak about light on earth, or on planets in general.  Again, evening and morning and day and night.  All of these deal with cycles of planets around their suns.

So in other words, earth could've been brought to the sun on Day #4 to have light shine on it after it was a stray planet.  This is where the planemo earth theory comes in.  And it seems that both the Bible and the Glorious Quran support it.

Am I still missing it here?

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Brother Osama, I think you're quite confused. Let me enlighten you.

Yes indeed, but if that's the case, then the bible is wrong because it implies that earth was created and was formless before light.

Brother Osama, Look.

1-The bible says that God created earth first and it was formless
2-Then the bible says that God created light

The is falsehood because light was created before earth even began to form.

Or

1-The bible is talking about morning.
2-According to the bible God created earth and it was formless.
3-God created morning on earth (light) on day one.

Then this is also wrong because there can be no day, or morning without sun, and sun was created on day 4.

Could be, but won't change the fact that there's an obvious error in the bible.

I think it's clear now.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,

Let us look at the Genesis 1:1-5 verses again:

Quote
Genesis 1
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

And there was evening and there was morning.  It seems quite clear that the text is talking about light on planet earth, or on planets in general that orbit stars.  I just don't see your argument as a clear-cut proof, akhi.  I don't think the light that GOD Almighty "let be" is the Light of all the Universes.  I don't see that in the text.  You do not want to turn off Jews and Christians and lose credibility with them.  You don't want to come across as desperate.  The Bible is corrupt.  But I wouldn't use gray areas like this as proof.  I would use numbers and clear-cut statements.

Rogue Earth:

"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep...."

Like I said in my previous post, akhi, this could be referring to a planemo earth (rogue earth that wasn't orbiting any star).  And the Glorious Quran does support this possibility:

Without Form:

"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep...."

This could possibly be referring to the pre-iron age of earth.  Both the Glorious Quran and science confirm that iron was sent down to earth.  And science has proven that iron has massively altered earth almost in its entirety, and was also responsible for creating our moon from earth's rock-debris:

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

Brother Osama, you seem to not actually read my posts.

I literally said:

"That according to the bible light was created on day 1 and sun was created on day four, so we have two possibilities here either the word "light" is referring to morning on earth, or either it's referring to the actual light that was formed 200,000 : 300,000 years later after the big bang, but in the two cases the bible is wrong. Here's why:

1.If it's referring to morning on earth, then it's wrong because the sun was created on day 4 while light was created on day 1.
2.If it's referring to the actual light was formed after the big bang, then it's also wrong because according to the bible light was created after earth, but we know that earth began to form 9.1 millions later after big bang, which is definitely is millions of years after light was formed.

Sorry for the duplicate post. I wonder why it happens. Maybe this is some kind of bug.

I think I won  ;D, and I think that you owe me something, brother Osama. That thing is adding this error to your collection in the main site so that everyone could see it.

"3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light...."

Probably light on earth through its cycle around the sun, dear brother.  Not light as in ALL LIGHT in the Universe.  It's open to interpretation.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Light on earth is the light of the sun.

I'll quote you my post.

Quote
According the bible, God created sun on day 4, and he created light on day 1. So we have 2 possibilities here, either light in the bible is referring to the actual day, or it's referring to the actual light, and in the end, both of them are wrong because:

1.If it's (the light that's mentioned in the bible) is referring to the actual day, then this is entirely falsehood because there can be no day without sun, and sun was created on day 4 while light was created on day 1

2.If it's (the light that's mentioned in the bible) is referring to the actual light, then this is incorrect because according to the bible the light was created after earth was created and was formless.

As you can see, all the other interpretation are false. Even if we assumed that it's referring to the light on earth through its cycle around the sun, it would still be considered wrong because according to the bible light was created on day 1 while sun was created on day 4.

This is perhaps after the earth was joined with our solar system and began to form life and atmosphere in the goldilock zone.

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

It doesn't matter whether earth was joined or not. It will still remain a obvious error in the bible. The bible claims that light was created after earth began to form, or was created and formless.

Please read my posts above. They will definitely enlighten you.

84
Brother Osama, will you add it to your collection, or not?

85
And even if another universes and stars existed before the big bang, then this wouldn't matter because the bible claimed that light was created after earth was created and was formless, so would you add this error to your collection, brother Osama?

86
Another thing, it didn't claim that this light is the "light" of God. It only said that God created light.

87
Another thing, it didn't claim that this light is the "light" of God. It only said that God created light.

88
As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

"Light" can be interpreted in different ways.  The Light of GOD Almighty is different from the light of our stars and sun.  We don't know before the Big Bang if other stars and universes existed.  And light really begins when there is a light source.  So I am not really sure.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

But brother Osama, this is like saying that the earth that God created isn't our earth. There's nothing as "The Light of GOD Almighty is different from the light of our stars and sun.". This is like saying that the DNA that God created is different from the DNA that we know. The bible is referring to the actual light. It didn't say that that this light is different from the light that we know. In the bible it says that God created heavens and earth, doesn't that mean that it was referring to other heavens and another earth? When we say that God created earth in the Quran, do we mean that it's another earth?

89
I hope people give me their opinions about this error. Is it wrong? I look forward to your answers.

90
Another thing, if some people claim that it's referring to day and not light because God called light day, then they are obviously making another irrefutable error here.
