MashAllah....that must have been hard, i've been through this before, i nearly converted to christianity 3 years ago, thank God the priest was not there when i went to the Church otherwise i would have been a Trinitarian right now and maybe an apologist like Wood as well 😄....so basically the fact that the priest was not there was the perfect opportunity for me to give Islam one more chance(i had conflicting ideas during those days especially about the Trinity in the bible), so that day i bunked my usual saturday tuition and sat at my favourite mall for 3 hours thinking about what i was about to do and whether or not if i should think about my decision again, so i returned home and i began studying the subjects about which i had severe doubts(once again), and now here i am, a simple young guy going out on a personal vendetta against a non-existent called the "Trinity"...i'm glad that you're back amongst us by the way...

Interesting quote i found from one of my favourite blogs...

“Jesus has been emphasizing his Messianic claim. He does not say that before Abraham was born the logos existed; he says ‘I am.’ It is Jesus the Messiah, Jesus the man whom the Father had consecrated to the Messianic work who speaks. Just before this he had spoken of ‘my day,’ which Abraham saw (John 8:56), by which we must understand the historical appearance of Jesus as Messiah. Abraham had seen this, virtually seen it in God’s promise of a seed (Gen. 12:3; 15:4, 5) and had greeted from afar (Heb. 11:13). And now it is this one who consciously realizes the distant vision of Abraham who says, ‘Before Abraham was born, I am.’ Jesus, therefore, seems to affirm that his historic Messianic personality existed before Abraham was born. If that be the case, then its existence before Abraham must be thought of as ideal.”

John 8:58 New International Version (NIV)

58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am(ἐγὼ εἰμί)!”

ISV John 4:25-26

 The woman told him, “I know that the Anointed One is coming, who is being called ‘Messiah‘. When that person comes, he will explain everything.” “I am he(Ἐγώ εἰμι),” Jesus replied, “the one who is speaking to you.”

The EXACT same word(Egō eimi) is used by Jesus to identify himself as the Messiah instead of God in 4:25-26...

And Rashad Khalifa translated most of it accurately,so you're also denying your own Quranist theory.

Issue is,you're making up arguments,and not backing them up,my point still stands if Muhammad SAW was from Petra there would've been some literature mentioning him out of the Quran in Petra since Muhammad SAW would've been a big influence to the Petrans.

Forget about black boxes and gymnastics for a second, I have a mental exercise for shaad, who claims this forum isn't intellectually stagnant: there are numerous problems and assumed conclusions in the above quoted comment, point some out and predict the trajectory of my reply.

It doesn't have to be perfect.

Already said, i would have used the same response....
