Peace
Dear Osama Abdullah
in your apostasy article you should include the hadith in which it says:
"A believer should be killed except for 3 reasons, murder, adultery (which is impossible to prove), and leaving the muslims and the community" (it might vary in word but the meaning is the same)
this shows that peaceful apostates cant be killed .
I dont remember the source of this hadith, but i remember it exists 100%.
-
When I mean that apostates cant be killed, i mean it says
"leaving islam And the community.
this shows that apostasy alone doesn't mean death, but apostaasy and betrayel of the community, like treason.
I hope you got the message.
Peace

Did the Prophet PBUH actually kill apostates?
-
There is not a single hadith in which the prophet killed an apostate for simply being an apostate. He killed a few postates because those apostates killed a camel and the Shepard of the camel.

Ah, i heard about that. So what about The Ridda Wars?
-
during the ridda wars, or wars of apostasy/rebellion, the apostates rebelledattacked Medina first, that is why umar was afraid to let osama bin zaid's army leave, even Usama himself was nervous, of letting the army leave. The only reason they survived was that abu bakr organised a defense, mainly from the remaining tribes and banu hashim, an apostate army was at Dhu Hussa and another at Dhu Qissa. They were ready to attack medina from there.
read the wikipedia article

In fact, you bring up a good point, and i think Mr. Osama Abdullah should put this fact in his article as well.

Thanks zulfiqar

What about the six or ten Prophet Muhammad (may Almighty Allah bless him and grant him peace) ordered to be killed after the conquest of Mecca?

Also check this article (Brother Ehteshaam Gulam, in this article has refuted most of the allegations against the messanger (PBUH), including the meccan killings)

I think I posted more than enough links for you to see the truth about the "Killings" of the meccan 10.
