As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,
Islam came to restore the Original Faith. And in this precious Faith is the practice of bowing down to Allah Almighty as Muslims exactly do today on regular basis.
And as to the Temple in the verse that you quoted above, there are ample proofs that it is about the Kaaba. But regardless, it can be both the Kaaba and the Temple of Solomon, since both would be legitimate Places of Worship. But like I said, there are ample and thorough Biblical passages that clearly demonstrate that Islam is the Divine Truth, and that Prophet Muhammad, - peace be upon him, -was clearly prophesied in the Old Scriptures.
