This is the story of how I became Muslimah..Alhamdulillah!!!
First of all I was going through hard times in my life and things were only getting worse. One day almost 2 years ago there was a repeat of the movie Malcolm X on tv. I watched this movie before a couple of times , but for some reason at this time when I watched it I really paid close attention when it was towards the end of the movie when Malcolm X went to the Hajj and how he saw everything different this was something I connected with and actually broke into tears....so many people are judged and so many crimes are committed and so much is going on today in this world that it really made me to stop and think that this world could be coming to the end.
I grew up learning the catholic religion both my parents are catholic but had so many debates about the religion, that it left me confused like there was something wrong that how can a religion be so many different ways . so thanks so much to Allah and better for me I really wanted to learn more about this religion of Islam. For me this movie came on at a perfect time and day in my life because it gave me just a little bit of curiosity!!! so from there I started checking out books from the local library and became very much involved. It has changed my life and my views so much .I am a better person today and I have faith in my Allah and now I know what my purpose is and My only hope is to be in the paradise, having the reward for serving Allah.
