As thoroughly detailed in this detailed article, I thoroughly demonstrated using 7 encyclopedic dictionaries that DAHA دحاها means: 1- To push. 2- To throw. دحا (daha): دفعه و رمى به (dafa'aahu wa ramaa bih) Caused it to move, pushed it, or threw it. دحا الصبي المِدحاةَ أي دفع الصبي المِدحاةَ Daha the boy the rolling toy, means the boy pushed the rolling toy.

Also the dictionary says: و بطنٌ مُنداحُ أي خارخٌ مُدوّر His tummy is mun-daahun means it is OUT THERE AND ROUND مُدوّر.
So when Allah Almighty DAHA THE EARTH, it means that

IT SPHERICALLY through

1- Prophet Muhammad's knowledge VS the Noble Quran's Claims:
The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.
With this said, let me now lay down the foundation to make the Truth of Islam be clearly known by Allah Almighty's Grace and Will. It is important to know the following:
(a)- Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, did not know everything. Allah Almighty clearly said so in the Noble Quran:
"And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Rooh (the Spirit); Say: "The Rooh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little." (The Noble Quran, 17:85)"
Since the Prophet of Islam only knew little, especially from the unseen, and since he never said that the earth is egg-shaped or spherical, then it is quite clear that he did not know that the earth was indeed egg-shaped.
(b)- Allah Almighty in the Noble Quran did say that the earth is egg-shaped (dahaha), and that He sent down iron to it:

Again, Dahaha (دحاها) doesn't just mean egg. It more accurately means making something spherical, among other meanings such as pushing something, or causing it to roll. It also means to expand. When Allah Almighty Said that He Daha (دحا) the earth, it means that Allah Almighty:
1- Expanded the earth spherically.
2- Made it rotate around itself.
3- Travel in its-now stable orbit around the sun, which made it support life as we know it on earth. Before that, earth was chaotic and didn't support life. So it was stabilized by Allah Almighty. This is why in the very next Noble Verse, Allah Almighty Said that after He DAHAHA (دحاها), He brought from it its water and pasture. This clearly and indisputably supports my point that Dahaha means that earth's rotation around the sun became stable in the goldilocks zone, and now earth started to produce and support life. According to Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1], Book 4, Page 516
المدحرج (al-mudahraj): المُدوَّر what is round or circular. دحا (daha): دحّ في الثّرى بيتاً إذا وسعه He expanded the house. دحا (daha): مدحوحاّ أي مُسوّى evened, balanced, equaled, leveled. دحا (daha): الدّواح أي العظيم الشديد العلو al-dawwah is something that is great, extremely powerful, and exalted. دحا (daha): الدِّحْية هو رئيس الجُند, و به سمِّي دِحية الكلبي Al-dihya is the leader of the soldiers, and from this was named Dihya Al-Kalbay, who was one of Prophet Muhammad's close Companions.
دحا (daha): ROUND and SPHERICAL:
So based on all of these meanings, what do we find? We find that: 1- The earth is a moving object that was pushed or thrown by Allah Almighty into space. 2- The earth is a qurs and indahhat and is dihdaaha, which means it is a round and a spherical object. 3- The earth has expanded, and from that expansion, all of the huge bodies of water that we have today from oceans, seas, lakes and rivers were extracted AND/OR FORMED from the earth with the aid of its protective atmosphere. 4- The earth is mad-hooha ( مدحوحا ), which is balanded and evened. 5- The earth is dihya, which means it is the best among its group. This is true since all of the planets in our solar system are pretty much similar to our moon. They are lifeless and have no life and no water in them. Earth, on the other hand, has (1) ample water, which is why it is called the BLUE PLANET, (2) ample life, and even (3) Paradise-like views and nature in places such as Hawaii, Alaska, the Carribeans, places in Europe, Asia, Africa etc... 6- The earth is also dahdah and dahdaah, which means it is round and compressed. 7- The earth has a protective umbrella and ceiling above it. 8- And again, Dahaha (دحاها) doesn't just mean egg. It more accurately means making something spherical, among other meanings such as pushing something, or causing it to roll. It also means to expand. When Allah Almighty Said that He Daha (دحا) the earth, it means that Allah Almighty: 1- Expanded the earth spherically. 2- Made it rotate around itself. 3- Travel in its-now stable orbit around the sun, which made it support life as we know it on earth. Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary [6], Page . كفاتا (kifaata): الكفت (al-kaft), which means صَرْفََكَ الشئ عن وجهه when you push something to a different direction. كفاتا (kifaata): ينكفت أي ينصرف yankafit which means to go away.
كفاتا (kifaata): أسرع في العدو و الطيران speeded in running and flying. كَفْتٌ (kaftun): سريع fast. كفيت (kafeet): سريع خفيف دقيق fast, light and precise. كفات (kifaat): يضم و يقبض contains and holds on to. الكفيت (al-kafeet): القوة على النكاح, القوة على الجماع strength for marriage and the strength to have intercourse or to fertilize, or to make life. 1- Is running in space. 2- Is rotating around its own axle. 3- Has the means to create life and/or to have life fertilized and multipled in it. 4- And it does CONTAIN its creatures and it does maintain their life and means of living for them. 5- Notice how in Noble Verse 77:26, it says: 77:26 احياء وامواتا The living and the dead.
Indeed, the earth is encompassing to both the
dead and the living, and it does create the
living and recreates the dead,
all
through Allah Almighty's Divine Will, Mercy,
Design and Wisdom.
That is why I translated kifaata in Noble Verse 77:26 to: moving fast in space and is encompassing to all of its creatures and it has the ability to create and recreate. The word encompasses all of these meanings, and all of them PERFECTLY FIT the description of earth!
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:
In Noble Verse 30:25, the Arabic word تقوم stand, has the following meanings. According to: 1. Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1] , Book 7, Pages 455-465. 2. Al-Muheet dictionary [2], Page . 3. Al-Muajam Al-Waseet dictionary [3], Page. 4. Al-Mawrid dictionary Arabic-English section [4], Page . 5. Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary [6], Page . تقوم (taqoom): is derived from قيام (qiyam), which means الهِمّة إلى شيئ (al-himmah ila shaya'), which means moving firmly towards something. تقوم (taqoom): قائم أي إعتدل Qa'em which means became balanced إعتدل. تقوم (taqoom): استقاموا (istaqaamu): executed the commands firmly: قام Qaama: to get up, to perform, do, carry out, execute, practice, exercise, run.
القيام (al-qiyaam): means الوقوف و الثبات which means standing and remaining still. My simple response to this is the following: 1- Yes indeed, the planet earth is standing still according to our bodies and it is indeed balanced! Otherwise, we would all perish! 2- But however, since it was a known fact that the celestial bodies in Heaven such as the SUN, MOON, SHOOTING STARS and others were all moving bodies, then it is obviously safe to also accept this meaning about the earth also moving to apply to Noble Verse 30:25, especially when we already know that the earth was mentioned to be ROUND and WAS PUSHED and THROWN INTO SPACE, as I already thoroughly demonstrated earlier (above) in the word DAHAHA. So it is safe to accept the word taqoom تقوم in Noble Verse 30:25 to mean both FIXED IN THEIR MOVING COURSES, and for the earth to be standing still AND BALANCED for the creatures that live on it for the following reasons: 1- The earth and heaven were mentioned together in the same Noble Verse. 2- We know that the Heaven is full of curvy and wavy orbits as I discussed in ARJOON AND MA'AARIJ earlier (above). 3- We know that the earth is round and is pushed and thrown in space by Allah Almighty as I discussed in DAHAHA earlier (above). 4- As to the earth being standing still, obviously, to us, it is standing still and it is BALANCED! Otherwise, we would all perish! More on this when we discuss the function of the mountains in the Noble Quran and how they prevent the earth from swaying while it is rotating around its own axle, in the Noble Quran.
(The following Noble Verse was suggested to me by brother Mahir, may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him) Furthermore, we read in Noble Verse 55:10:
Abdullah Yusuf Ali here translated the word wadaa' وَضَعَ as "spread out". But however, Abdullah Yusuf Ali and all of the English translators of the Noble Quran that I've listed at www.QuranSearch.com, with the exception of one, have translated the very same exact word, wadaa' وَضَعَ, as something that is moving , "hurrying to" , in the Noble Verse 9:47:
So indeed, It is He Who has set the earth on a moving course for (His) creatures. 55:10 والارض وضعها للانامFurthermore, according to: 1. Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1] , Book 5, Pages 362-364. 2. Al-Muheet dictionary [2], Page . 3. Al-Muajam Al-Waseet dictionary [3], Page. 4. Al-Mawrid dictionary Arabic-English section [4], Page . 5. Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary [6], Page 224. وَضَعَ wada'aa: يقال: وضع الشئ من يده يضعه وضعاً إذا ألقاه it is said: WADA'AA the thing from his hand, which means he threw it! وَضَعَ wada'aa: الإيضاع هو السير Al-idaa'aa is walking. الإيضاع (al-idaa'aa): Also means يحمله to carry him. وَضَعَ wada'aa: المُوضِع أي المسرع فيها the mudi'aa is the one who is SPEEDING. وَضَعَ wada'aa: يضع وضعاً أي عدا و أسرع yada'o wadaan means ran and speeded. وَضَعَ wada'aa: أسرع increased his speed. So as we clearly and indesputably see, وَضَعَ wada'aa clearly refers to an action. This action has to do with: (1) Carrying, (2) Speeding, and (3) Walking. All of this perfectly fits our planet earth! Yes indeed, 55:10 والارض وضعها للانام It is He Who has set the earth on a moving course for (His) creatures. Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:
Notice again how وَضَعَ wada'aa is referring to the balance of the orbital systems in the Universe. Here, this Noble Verse is referring to the gravitational balance that keeps the orbits of the Galaxies, their Solar Systems, their Planets and their Moon's in place, and not falling into a massive disarray and out of order and colliding with each others on a large and massive scale! If we examine, for instance, our beautiful Solar System's orbital system and the balance of its planets and their moon's around our star, the sun, and around each others (the moons orbiting around their own planets), then we'll see the beautiful and powerful BALANCE that Allah Almighty has put to keep us SAFE! Otherwise, our moon would've probably been the first planet to collide with us. Notice again how وَضَعَ wada'aa here perfectly describes that balance in our MOVING UNIVERSE! So it's the Balance in the Moving Celestial Bodies' orbits, and in their Solar Systems' Orbits, and in their Galaxies' Orbits and so on. As to رفعها (rafa'aaha) in the same Noble Verse (55:7), according to 1. Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1] , Book 5, Page119. 2. Al-Muheet dictionary [2], Page 666. 3. Al-Muajam Al-Waseet dictionary [3], Page 360. 4. Al-Mawrid dictionary Arabic-English section [4], Page 590. 5. Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary [6], Page 349. رفع (rafa'aa): الرَّفْعْ (al-raf'aa), which means السّير (al-sayr) walking, moving. المرفوع (al-marfoo'aa): ارفع السير he increased the speed of the walking. رفع (rafa'aa): رَفَّعَ الحمار raffa'aa the donkey, which means عدا عدواً بعضه أرفع من بعض ran a series of steps which some of them are faster than the others. رفع (rafa'aa): Advancing forward. رفع (rafa'aa): Increase the speed. يرفع (yarfa'aa): to walk a fixed path. رفع منه (rafa'aa minhu): ساره (saarahu) led him down the path. رفع (rafa'aa): Going in circular motions: رفع (rafa'aa): hoist up, to raise, run up, to take off, deliver, to start, initiate, pass, to boost.
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:
تمر means it is passing, and مر means like the passing of as the English translations amply proved. This is further proven in Noble Verse 37:137:
So why would Allah Almighty say that the mountains are moving like the clouds? We know that the mountains look quite fixed. Not even earth quakes can move them from their places! So why would Allah Almighty say that they are passing like the passing of the clouds? 1- Because like in Dahaha دحاها and wadaAAha وضعها, which both mean that the earth is moving on a fixed course, tamurru marra تمر مر, further supports this by saying that even the heavy and fixed mountains that look idol and impossible to move, and indeed moving! 2- Like in Dahaha دحاها , where it means to expand, the expansion of the earth did indeed cause, and is still causing, for the mountains to move! Not only mountains, but ENTIRE CONTINENTS moving or drifting away from each others as the earth started to split when it expanded. Remember that the earth used to be one jigsaw puzzle and then started to expand.
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:
Abdullah Yusuf Ali have translated مهادا mihaada to mean "a wide expanse". However, in the following Noble Verses, he translated the root word for مهادا mihaada to mean "cradle":

But it also means: مهد (mahd): و مَهْدُ الصبي هو موضعه الذي يُهيّأ له و يُوَطّأ لينام فيه the mahd of the baby is the place that is prepared for him, and is rocked back and forth يُوطّأ to put him to sleep. ممهّد (mumahhad): Balanced in temperature:
Cradle: مهاد (mahaad): bed. Is the bed here a rocking bed or a fixed one? The following pictures about the cosmos will clearly prove that the earth's axial tilt and rotation around the sun indeed resemble a rocking bed:
Let us now look at our planet earth's "Axial Tilt" that makes it look like a cradle:
So indeed, the earth being a مهاد (mihaad) does mean that it is like a rocking cradle, since its root, مهد (mahd), means just that.
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Al-Naggar: The Arabic word "dahaha": Here is what Dr. Zaghlool Al-Naggar said about the Arabic word in question:
الدلالة اللغوية لدحو الأرض (http://www.nooran.org/E/7.htm) My Translation: Linguistic evidence to the "dahu" (egg-shapping) of the Earth The "dahu" in the Arabic Language means to extend and even out. It is said: "daha" the thing; "yad'hu dahwan". These terms can mean he either evened out and extended it or he threw it and rolled it. It is also said: "the rain daha the stones from the face of the earth," which means it rolled it and washed it away. It is also said: "The horse passed by yad'hu dahwan," which means he is beating his foot on the ground and yad'hu its sand. My translation: One day, a friend came to me carrying a book titled "Coran et la Science la Bible le" for the author, Maurice Boukay. I read it with with setting a new time-record due to the seriousness that I saw in the theological thought and its relationship to science. The author was precise in gathering the correct meanings of the Quranic vocabularies and delivering them uncompromised to the brain of his reader, meanwhile a number of the Muslim and non-Muslim authors have adulterated the translations of these Words, and as a result the latter not only wasn't able to Their real intended meanings, but their translations were far from being anywhere close to the Scientific Truth of the Words. This is what the author tried to set straight; he corrected the meaning of "Alaq" and "Dahu Al-Ard" that other authors have mistranslated. Allah Almighty gave the scientific statements during an age that lacked the basics of the applicable and theoretical sciences. What's really applauding is that Maurice Baukay didn't settle for the meaning of Daha that was given to him - that which some have tried to convince him with it - so he set out and traveled to the Arabic countries seeking some of the archeologies of the Arabic language that was attacked by the enemies and he found that the meaning of "daha" is still used by the Libyans today in reference to the egg. They call one egg "dahia," which is derived from the root words Daha, Yadhu, Dahwa, which all mean that the object is made or has become like an egg. And in another meaning, the earth is not shaped like a ball, but rather like an egg, instead. And no translator has reached his results before him..
5- Further proofs from Arabic: Also, further proofs about the word Dahaha meaning to do a circular activity. The following are very well-known Arabic words that are derived from "Dah": 1- Dahraja, means to roll down as in rolling down a rock from the top of the hill. 2- Tadahraja, means he physically rolled down, as in a person rolling his body down.

2- So why didn't the Arabs and the Prophet understand dahaha as earth is spherical and egg-shaped 1,500 years ago?
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said the following Hadith (saying):
Narrated Abu Huraira: "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "I have been sent with Jawami al-Kalim (i.e., the shortest expression carrying the widest meanings), and I was made victorious with awe (caste into the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the earth were brought to me and were put in my hand." Muhammad said, Jawami'-al-Kalim means that Allah expresses in one or two statements or thereabouts the numerous matters that used to be written in the books revealed before (the coming of) the Prophet. (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Interpretation of Dreams, Volume 9, Book 87, Number 141)"
As we clearly see, the Prophet said that he was sent to reveal pithy words that encompass many meanings and topics, which are short in quantity and rich in meanings and interpretations. The Arabic word dahaha in Noble Verse 79:30 above did have multiple meanings and uses. One of them was when one refers to an egg (see the proofs in Arabic here). Another was when referring to making something extended, spread out, stretched and/or expanded. This is an example of how Allah Almighty uses scientific notions in the Noble Quran when He talked about how He created certain things. He gave words that had multiple meanings and interpretations to them to make the Noble Quran truly be for all times and all places, and to enable it to truly be the Everlasting and Never Ending Divine Miracle that will always prove the Prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Imagine the direct claim about the earth being spherical or egg-shaped!
While even though Allah Almighty clearly said in Noble Verse 79:30 that the earth is egg-shaped, but let us further explore what would've happened if Allah Almighty Willed for Prophet Muhammad to have the knowledge about the earth and to spell it out more clearly in Arabic to his followers 1,500 years ago:
1- First of all, it is important to know that the Prophet of Islam was already viewed as a mad man by many. Even his companions had doubts about him especially when they had to endure all of the pain and sacrifice that they had to go through from losing their wealth, family and everything they had in life for the Message that he brought to them. It was a natural inclination for them to doubt him and to have serious second thoughts about him:
"Say (to them O Muhammad SAW): "I exhort you on one (thing) only: that you stand up for Allahs sake in pairs and singly, and reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet SAW): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad SAW), he is only a warner to you in face of a severe torment." (The Noble Quran, 34:46)"
"And (O people) your
companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman;
(The Noble Quran, 81:22)"
2- Let's us suppose that the following claims were made by the Prophet:
i- The earth is egg-shaped.
ii- We are not standing on top of the earth (north pole), but rather we are standing on the SIDE OF THE EARTH, and right underneath our feet there are people who are living and standing on the opposite side of the planet! And we are too living under their feet on the opposite side of the world.
Just imagine how the bedouins would've taken this message who already had serious doubts about the Prophet and thought that he was a mad man. Imagine how CRAZY the Prophet of Islam would've really sounded to them! That is why Allah Almighty, by His Divine Wisdom and Mercy, chose to speak in the language of notions so that the right interpretation would slowly and surely be discovered by man as man keeps developing in knowledge and technology. Dahaha back then meant expanded, which is also scientifically true. (See proof) Look at how the continents of the earth are shaped like. They look like they've been one round and all-connected piece of land in the past and then slowly spread out and split into the continents that we have today due to an expansion of the earth from its sides. Eliminating the childish word games:
The point here is not to play word and title games. If the earth is either shaped like an egg (eggs do vary in shapes) or a pumpkin (pumpkins do also vary in shapes), this still wouldn't change anything. In the images of the earth above, we clearly see the earth as egg-shaped. One can also suggest that it also looks like a pumpkin. The scientists are not GOD Almighty! Their choice of the word pumpkin doesn't nullify Allah Almighty's choice of "egg", because the main point of Allah Almighty's use of the word dahaha (which means egg and many other things), even though eggs do vary in shapes and sizes and this was known to man 1,500 years ago, is that:
1- Unlike pumpkin in Arabic, dahaha had multiple meanings that perfectly matched up with describing the earth.
2- Allah Almighty talked about the earth's expansion.
3- Allah Almighty talked about the earth's shape being spherical and also at the same time not being quite perfect in its diameters. Eggs are not perfect in their diameters nor are they all the same in shape as we clearly see above. Therefore, Allah Almighty's word-choice is not contradicting with science.
4- It seems that Allah Almighty also meant to cover the earth's orbit around the sun which also happens to be shaped like an egg!
So clearly and indisputably, Allah Almighty had a clear purpose and point for using this precise Noble Word and Notion to describe several things that define the earth, which were not known to man in the past. Indeed all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty alone! Allah Almighty Said:
"We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and INSIDE THEIR SELVES, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

Again, the Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.
Allah Almighty clearly intended to mention several Miracles, through the single Word dahaha, to again and again prove to us that the more we learn and advance in knowledge and technology the more we'll discover the Noble Quran to be the True and Holy Word of GOD Almighty!
Indeed, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty alone for making the Noble Quran be the Perfect and Everlasting Miracle, for us humans, out of all of His Divine Miracles! As'salamu Alaikum dear brother, People were asking the Prophet, peace be upon him, if the sun and the moon were ever going to collide. The people thought that the sun and the moon were both running on one lane or line or orbit or path, and that they're together, and that if one slows down, then the other would catch up to it and they'd ultimately collide. Allah Almighty responded to this nonsense by making it absolutely clear that the sun and the moon are traveling in entirely different orbits, and that they could not catch up to each others and collide. So what the empty anti-Islamics of today try to prove as a scientific blunder in the Holy Quran turns out to be an accurate Scientific Statement and a Scientific Miracle of its time (see also Luke 2:52: GOD forgave Jesus).
