[020:113] Thus have We sent this down - an arabic Quran - and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear God, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him).

[020:113] Thus, We revealed this Qur’an in Arabic. In it We have defined sharply the promises and the threats. Maybe they will fear (Allah), or it _ (the Qur’an) _ will bring back the remembrance (of Allah).

[020:113] Wakathalika anzalnahu qur-anan AAarabiyyan wasarrafna feehi mina alwaAAeedi laAAallahum yattaqoona aw yuhdithu lahum thikran

‏20:113 وكذلك انزلناه قرانا عربيا وصرفنا فيه من الوعيد لعلهم يتقون او يحدث لهم ذكرا

Sher Ali:

[020:113] And thus have WE sent it down - the Qur'an in Arabic -and WE have explained therein every kind of warning, that they may fear God or that it may cause them to remember him.

Shakir:

[020:113] And thus have We sent it down an Arabic Quran, and have distinctly set forth therein of threats that they may guard (against evil) or that it may produce a reminder for them.

Pickthall:

[020:113] Thus we have revealed it as a Lecture in Arabic, and have displayed therein certain threats, that peradventure they may keep from evil or that it may cause them to take heed.
