Ok I apologize if I'm offending anyone, but this is really the only forum which allows freedom of speech.

Religion is cancer. It spreads unwillingly and kills in the process, and is impossible to get rid of. There is absolutely no proof that the stories in the bible or Koran are true, or that God exists. More people have been killed in the name of God than for any other reason. So what is the secret behind this intolerance?

1) The holy books
That's right. The NT says that the OT laws are now invalid. The Qur'an says that both books are corrupt, and that Jesus was never killed. This causes the three Abrahamic religions to fight wars with each other.

2) Sectarianism
People often define themselves by their race or religion, rather than their character.

3) Mind control
Al-Qaeda, Hitler, Israel, are all really good representations of the three major Abrahamic religions.

The issue with religion, as I see it, is the maniacs who do evil in it's name. But look at the atheist regimes of Russia, China, Cambodia, North Korea, etc and all their genocide. It's human nature. Religion should modify behavior for the better, but people like to abuse it's power. Religion/faith/spiritualism should not be dictated by man. Organized religion, such as the Catholic Church, results in a sanctuary for child rapists, for example. When each individual holds their faith, it belongs to them, to give control to an organization results in corruption. Constantine and his cronies completely molested the Bible in 325 AD. Tyrants can use religion to oppress. Tyrants can also use suppression of all religion as a mean of control. Whether religious or not, people are capable of great evil. Great evil has been done in the name of religion. But, consider a world without religion. Would it really be a Utopian society, or would people simply find other things to bicker about and go to war for?

I don't think I'm wrong when I say that you're of the misguided Atheists who have learned some scientific terms and so they thought they're matchless and everyone else is an ignorant . If you feel offended by that then you shouldn't barge in and say with utmost insolence "Religion is a cancer" . And if we compare the crimes of Atheists in the last century with the crimes of non-Atheists through history then you'll find the crimes of your group unmatched ! What do you say about Mao and Stalin ? And what was the cause behind the actings of Hitler ? was it religion or were they the ideologies of Atheism which admit NOTHING but matter ? Get over yourself . If Atheists were to rule the world with their Atheism , we would perish . Here's a gift of Atheists "Misrepresenting" Atheism and justifying their crimes in its name . Or maybe it DOES justify those crimes .
