Jesus claiming to be god in John 6:40?
« on: June 06, 2014, 09:18:59 PM »
'' For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

What would be a good refutation to this? christian guy claimed only god can raise the dead, also if jesus really said this then he is taking away one of allah's 99 attributes for himself

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,

First of all, in regards to "Father" and "Son" titles in John 6:40, and also throughout the Bible, it's been proven that the English translations are not accurate:

1-  The Bible's "Father" was proven to be the Bible's and the Glorious Quran's Guardian and Protector.

2-  The Bible's "Son" was proven to be the Bible's and the Glorious Quran's MUSTAFA and raised-in-status Believers.

Please visit: http://www.answering-christianity.com/convert_christians.htm and go to Main Step #5.

The Bible is full of metaphors, and this one is one of them.  In fact, in the very chapter itself, John 6, you'll see more of them.  But before I directly refute (there is really nothing to refute here against the desperate lie of the polytheists' blasphemy, the trinity) the John 6:40 verse above, let us look at these verses from a previous discussion, http://www.answering-christianity.com/blog/index.php/topic,1498.msg5824.html#msg5824:

Matthew 19
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

So to what Jesus' Throne and the Disciples' Twelve Thrones belong to?

John 14:2
1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b ]
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

So all of Jesus' mission is limited to one Divine Box, called a Mansion.  And there are many Mansions in GOD Almighty's Heaven.  Those Mansions are the different Revelations of GOD Almighty's ONE RELIGION ISLAM to all of mankind.  Visit the following link to see how Islam is the Bible's Original Faith, and how the Believers had always been called Muslims:

What about John 6:40?

Let us look at John 6:25-59 to see a broader context.  The link takes to all of the short chapter of John 6:

John 6

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?
31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]”
32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life  (Yes, Jesus is the Bread that GOD Almighty Sent down from Heaven, and he carries GOD's Seal of Approval!  Must this make Jesus GOD??). Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.
37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

38 For I have come down from heaven *** not to do my will *** (yes, right into the trinitarian readers' faces!  If nothing else, just remember this verse and drop the stupidity and blasphemy of trinity, and the nonsense of Jesus is the Creator of the Universe.  Otherwise, begone, and be doomed to Hell, because you have none other but yourselves to blame.) but to do the will of him who sent me.

39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
41 At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.”
42 They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
43 “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered.
44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’[d] Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.

46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. (This is a metaphor about all Believers. Visit:

http://www.answering-christianity.com/heavens_many_mansions.htm)

47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.
48 I am the bread of life.
49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died.
50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die.

51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood (this is a metaphor) remains in me, and I in them.

57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

Where is trinity in all of this?

I ask you and ask the reader in the Holy Name of Allah Almighty, where do you see trinity in any of the things mentioned above?  There is nothing that proves the trinity blasphemy here.  In a capsule, Jesus Christ must be followed by the ones whom he was sent to.  Otherwise, they'll get doomed to Hell.  Allah Almighty Said in the Glorious Quran:

[017:071]  One day We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imams: those who are given their record in their right hand will read it (with pleasure), and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least.

Jesus was a Muslim, and Islam is the Bible's original Faith and GOD Almighty's ONE RELIGION to all of mankind:

[003:019] The Religion before God is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of God, God is swift in calling to account.

To see the indisputable proofs for all of this, please visit: http://www.answering-christianity.com/ac.htm.

That's all of it in a capsule, O trinitarian blasphemers!

;D ;D ;D Today, I came to know that Trinity really Exists but in a somewhat different way.

First Person of Trinity is the Unholy Spirit, who was drunk at the time of inspiring the New Testaments Writer.

Second Person of Trinity is Satan The Father or We Muslims know him as Iblees, which I think we all know Very well.

Third Person of Trinity is Satan The Son or betterly known as Paul, Who came to earth to Glorify Satan The Father.

They are One in Three, Three in One.
